"I ordered an item on August 7th. Granted it wasn't a high end collectible just a lower end figure that was ordered as a gift for someone and I was having trouble finding it in stores. So, I place the order and wait. After two weeks of no word or sighting of the order, I emailed the shop. I was told it still hadn't shipped from the maker, and if I wanted to cancel, I could. That was a reasonable offer, but since he said they should have it in by next week, I said I could wait as it was hard to find elsewhere at that time and back orders happen. Three weeks later, it still had not shown. I email the contact again and simply ask if the back order came in. There was no word so I emailed again a week later saying I was simply following up. He responded the same day and said he'd contact the maker and see when it was expected to ship. I'm a pretty patient and understanding person, so I wait because at this point I paid and I didn't want to risk buying another to have this show up on my step. Sept 28th I received a message that my order had shipped (Hurrah!). I click on the tracking number and my order said pre-shipment. No worries, It hadn't made it to the post office just yet. Well today is Oct 21. It's been in pre-shipment over a month. Tonight I sent an email that basically said if it won't ship this week, or hasn't please refund my paypal. I hope it ships but if not, I hoping they credit my account and I don't have to wait two months on that.
The only reason I'm giving this shop two stars and not one is because the point of contact was nice in his emails and did respond. I would have hoped the company had the initiative to let their customers know of the continued status of an order if it went beyond a reasonable amount of time. Sure, it wasn't one of their high dollar collectibles, so I'm not sweating it as much. But if I had decided to purchase a high end item and this had happened? I don't even want to imagine."
"I ordered 2 products from this seller. I received the first extremely quickly. The second seemed to get delayed a couple of weeks, but i did end up receiving it just fine in the end.
I've since preordered 2 more items from them and i intend to keep using them for some of the harder to find statues that the singapore-based companies refuse to ship direct to north america.
The guy who owns the shop also seems quite friendly and we were exchanging details about our respective collecions over e-mail. Responds to e-mail pretty quickly in my experience and seems eager to get to know his customers.
It's a shame to hear about some of the negative experiences on here, but i can at least tell you my experiences have been fine thus far."
"I ordered an item from Speculative Fiction, and not only did I get it for the absolute best deal on the entirety of the internet; it shipped quickly and got here in mint condition! Even the box was in MINT condition! The owner is a man of his word, and a pleasure to do business with.
I don't know why the reviewers who are bashing this shop had such bad experiences, but I find the majority of them hard to believe.

"I ordered my Kylo Ren Light Saber on this site. No where on the page did it say it was under pre order at the time of the order. They then said it will be on my door step in early June. It's been over a month since then and still no word on shipping or order details. I had to email them 4 times before I got a repose and all they said was that I would get tracking info in one day. Three days later nothing has appeared so I emailed them again twice. It was well over a week before I got a response. He then said he would ship the saber yesterday and I would have tracking by the end of the day. I still have no tracking info and now I'm trying to email him for a refund and moire than likely wont hear from him in a week. By far the worst customer service I've experienced and would never recommend this site to anyone I know. You are honestly better off buying the things they sell off of Amazon."
"This is a great company if you prefer doing business with someone who likes to take you for your money. I pre ordered a product And was told it would arrive Before December. And it did not. According to their own Policies I could reauest a refund at any time, so I did. I have Sent Multiple emails requesting a refund and have been told that they will refund me immediately. I still have not yet received a refund or the product and it is February of the next year."
"By far the WORST experience I've ever had involving online purchases. I strongly suggest looking else where. I ordered an 'In stock' 16" Skyrim Dragon born statue. Paid for the 2-3 days shipping, a week later sent an email wondering where my item was. Received an email stating 'Oh sorry the item was out of stock, I had to order more. It will be shipped tomorrow' Didn't stop them from taking the 312 bucks though. So i waited...another week goes by. Nothing. Check my email and they sent me one saying it was JUST NOW shipped. 2 weeks after they took the money for it. No, I'd recommend you shop else where...ridiculous."
"This is a real store for sure, and not a scammer. However, communication could have been better. I preordered the ThreeA Noisyboy figure from them back in Jan 2014. I will only be charged with the item is shipped. I received an email on July 1, 2014 and was charged the full price. Heard nothing since then and didn't see the product. since I was travelling internationally, I had forgotten to follow up with this order. I did preorder another Noisyboy from another retailer for my nephew. Received the item for another retailer early August. Then I remembered about my order from this retailer. Sent an email and received the reply that it shall be shipped. Shipping was slow, took a week, but that was FedEx. The packaging was impressive. Basically, he shipped the item with the original shipping box that came with the manufacturer. I have dealt with other only toy retailers and all of them will ship will another bigger box. This is because there are some collectors who are very picky about their products and even want the original manufacturer shipping box to be in tact. I personally don't care for the original manufacturer's shipping box, but it's just that comparing to other retailers, this is less than impressive.
Not satisfied with the following:
Was charged way too early.
Lack of communication (should at least have contacted me and advice item will come one month later)
Packaging (did not double box like all other toy retailers)
Three stars overall."

I was then told that the item was "heavily allocated" and that they will just simply cancel my order?
