"I live in small town Alaska. I purchase most of my firearms, firearms accessories, and parts online. I have done a fair amount of business with SOSS; they ship promptly, their ratings of used firearms are pretty accurate, and if you're careful and aware of the market you may find some excellent deals.
The negative reviews I've seen seem placed by pretty ignorant folk. There is not one reputable gunstore I'm aware of, or irreputable for that matter, will take a return on a firearm. They all warn you that all firearms sales are final...go to the manufacturer. Sorry Cheez Wiz, it's not Dollar General and that rifle is not a $5 toaster.
I also saw some reviews saying they went to the store for service...sorry dude, you're pretty confused, SOSS doesn't have a storefront, they're strictly online. Whomever those folks are seem to confuse SOSS with maybe Sportsman's Warehouse? Two different companies, get your act together.
Hmmm...so a part from a package sealed by the manufacturer arrives blemished? One, to replace that part they have to break another one's seal...that's even if they want to. They're absolutely right in sending you on the way to the manufacturer.
Some (many?) gun buyers are ignorant. I've seen folks not understanding that guns are testfired at the manufacturers and subsequently demand a Used Price on a gun because of it or accuse the seller of dishonesty.
SOSS isn't the best out there, but all in all, they do a good job and treat people fairly."
"Placed my order. Got my email and tracked my order status. After 6 days, I emailed customer service and heard back within 48 hours with a nice email that it was shipped and I’d get an email with tracking, which I had from FedEx later that day. Got my shotgun today from my FFL. 10 day transaction from order to finish. Brand new shotgun and packaging was excellent. Very pleased

"Wonderful experience! Not knowing anything about this company I had left a “wish list” for a particular Ruger Single Six on their website many months ago. 2 weeks ago, after these many months, I get a notification that they have one in stock! I immediately ordered it. Like an idiot I then decided to check out the reviews of this company (after the fact). The very low rated reviews made me worry that I had made a huge mistake. I then called the customer service 3 times over the next few days to ensure my order was being processed. Each time I called I got a very nice representative Who assured me all was going well and the pistol would ship in 5 to 7 days but due to Covid it might be slightly delayed. I received notification on the eighth day from Fedex that it was on the way. I went to the FFL and picked it up yesterday. I have nothing but praise to offer from my experience dealing with Sportsman Outdoor Super Store! I would use them again in a heartbeat!!! "
"I ordered ammo on a Monday and Friday it had shipped, I got my oreder on Sunday. Not the quickest shipping but I called them on Thursday to make sure that my order was going to ship and it did the next day. The lady I talked to said that it takes about five days to ship an order."
"Don’t understand some negative reviews. Can’t attest to other peoples experience. But mine is far different. Example, I ordered a Savage rifle on 5/26. On late Friday afternoon 5/28/21 off the Memorial Day weekend I talked w/Abbey in Cust. Service. Told her that I need to cancel my order to get a larger Caliber. Abbey would not let me order the new & cancel the old order. She said my order was on the shipping dock ready to be loaded by Fed. Ex. She ran to the dock, pulled my order - and my credit card was refunded the next day. She told me to call back to reorder the next week, but she needed to focus on getting my order taken off the dock, then followed up with cancellation & credit paperwork. This mirrors my experiences w/SOS for the last 6 years. Extraordinary professional, pleasant, efficient customer service, good selection, availability, and prices to go with super-star customer service. So, surprised at some reviews that are so polar-opposite mine. Not saying other people are wrong - maybe since I don’t yell, scream, curse, call their employees “idiots” I coincidently receive better treatment. Don’t know/don’t care. I just know that SOS is one of my favorite 2 firearm/ammo dealers for several years now. "
