"I ordered what I told was a new Panasonic FZ30 Camera from WaWaDigital's website. They called me the next day to "confirm my order" then tried to pressure me into buying overpriced accessories. When I didn't buy they stated the camera was refurbished. When I challenged them about their website not stating it was refurbished, they declared my order cancelled and hung up. No one should buy from this company."
"Ordered 2 cameras online. Received follow up phone call from Wawa asking to verify order. I returned call. Got sales pitch for battery (told the one that comes with the camera only lasts about 30 minutes). Politely said no thanks. Then was asked do I want a new camera? WHAT WHAT WHAT??!!! There was nothing obvious on the web page that I was ordering anything but a NEW camera. I verified that I wanted a new camera at the price I agreed to. Then the conversation was turned around. Had I already called in and verified the order? Again I said NO this was my first phone call. Did I want a new or refurbished camera? again I stated NEW. When I could tell our conversation was going nowhere, I asked to cancel the order. Now I have to contact my credit card company to make sure no charges went on the card. Feel like I've been scammed!"
"Wawa Digital aka Stargate Photo is a fraudulent company that will not hesitate to use the credit card information available to them through your disputed purchase to charge. They will treat you to rudeness, and chances are either you or they will cancel your order, while they keep your credit card information. If your order is not cancelled, you will not get your item. Their business is a scam, and they must be reported to authorities for credit card scamming, business fraudulence, and customer abuse."
"Stay away from WaWa Digital. I ordered a camera. I received the email telling me to call them. When I did, some guy with an accent tried to sell
batteries and accessories I did not need. When I stated firmly but politely I only wanted the camera. He called me cheap and said I should be ashamned for being so cheap! I told him I wanted to cancel my order and he threatened to charge my card. I called my credit card company immediately and then I filed charges with the BBB in New York. " I ordered a Kodak Easyshare Z700 online from Wawa Digital. They had the lowest price of any online retailer that I could find on a new, not refurbished Z700. After I placed the order, I received an email asking me to call their toll free number to verify the order. I called the number and got a very fast talking salesman who asked to verify my order. He went over the order but kept getting interupted and putting me on hold. At one point he said very quickly that this camera was made for use outside the USA and all the symbols and icons, as well as the instruction booklet was in Japanese, then he immediately put me on hold again. When he came back, he said everything was in order and he was going to ship the camera right out. I said hold on...did you really tell me that this camera was not for the USA? He said yes and then said that if I wanted an American model, it would be $70 more. I told him that I could get it locally at target for only $60 more and there would be no shipping charges. I told him to cancel my order, which he did, and sent me an email confirming the cancellation.

"I was very dissatisfied with the service of Wawa Digital. I placed an order online, and when I called to confirm the order, the sales representative started swearing at me after I refused to purchase extra items. After that, I said that I would rather cancel my order than confirm it. He told me that I had to send a money order of $55 for a cancellation fee within 2 days or he would call authorities. Their website did not mention cancellation fees, and I told him that it did not sound right. He continued to swear at me and tell me that he had my credit card number and would personally see to it that my credit score would be run into the ground. When I asked to speak with another representative to resolve the issue he told me to "f*** off" and that he was the owner's son, so he could talk to me and treat me however he wanted to. He also told me if I hung up that he would charge the $55 cancellation fee to my credit card. The situation just continued to escalate. I remained professional when speaking with him, although I admit it was very difficult to do so. After 40 minutes on the phone, he hung up on me. I immediately called my credit card company to warn them of possible fraud. It was a horrible experience."
"I ordered a Casio EX-S500 from the company. The price was way below anyone else which should have been a clue. I got "the email" to call and confirm the purchase. I had ordered from someone in NY before and got this type of email also. This was a different company though. He told me this was a "refurbished" camera. The site SAYS that everything they sell is new. I mentioned that and he said well, this one is refurbished. He quoted me a price on a "new" one and it was still cheaper than anyone else. I went ahead an ordered it. He did try to sell me a memory card, case, etc. I said no. They are supposed to just send the camera. We will see what happens. After reading all these reviews I call my credit card customer service and requested the # changed on my card. They go by many names, WaWaDigital, Stargate Photo, CameraWiz, Inc. It's no wonder they have to keep changing their name. Don't buy from this store.
I did finally get my camera on 4/23 after three calls to try to find out if the order had been shipped. The camera seems fine but did come in a plain looking box but having not seen a normal Casio box I could not tell you if this is normal or not. I also was not "given" a free case for the camera as promised when I complained about the "insurance" charge on the shipment."

"Not sure what business these guys are in - selling electronics or selling credit card information. Like several others on this site, I "ordered" a camera from Wawadigital. The salesperson called to sell me more accessories I didn't need, and when I politely refused, he said "you will get your camera in a few days". I got off the phone and within ten minutes got an "order cancelation" email saying the camera was not in stock. Because of the shadiness of the entire experience, I went to the web to do more research. Imagine my dismay when I read these reviews! I immediately called my credit card company and put my card on fraud alert. Well just like clockwork, today I got called from my credit card company saying that someone was trying to pass through fraudulent charges. I would HIGHLY recommend avoiding this "retailer"."
"I was very disgusted with the type of service that I received from STARGATE PHOTO. I placed an order and then called in to verify my order then a man told me that the computers were down and that he would have to call me back. He did but then he was asking me all these questions(like what type of battery I wanted and so on) and then kept putting me on hold and then I told him that all I wanted was what I had ordered and then he said that he was going to cancel my order and then hung up on me. Then I had someone else call them back and he hung up on them too. Then we called them back up again and this time we were really upset and let them know how we felt, but this time it was a different guy and once the person that I had call for me started to express their anger, the man from the business started swearing and then once everything got situated, we were told it was going to be a 3to4wk wait cause our camera was on back order and we still haven't received it. NEVER order from Stargate Photo..They are rude and VERY shady..I knew that the price was too good to be true and that there was a catch! NEVER ORDER from them!!!! No one should talk to their customers and treat their customers like they do! I also tried contacting them through email about my order cause it's been almost 4 wks that I've been waiting for my camera and still haven't heard from them. Who know's even if they even exist! I don't understand why people are still allowed to go on the website to buy things from them????? I went to the bank the other day and closed out my account cause I gave them the number that was on my debit card and from what ppl were saying people from the company were making fraudulent charges on other people's credit cards so I didn't want to be in the same situation..the feedback that I read was very helpful for me."

This is the worst store that I have ever found in my entire life for e-purchasing. This store keeps the price lowest & when people places orders. They send an e-mail to call their toll free number to confirm the order. When the person calls this number to confirm the order, the sales person over there treats so badly and uses abusive language and says that "YOUR F'NG ORDER IS CANCELLED"
My honest advise to all would be to never buy anything from this store.

I ordered a digital camera on a weekend. Received an email shortly after staing to call and verify the order. I tried but could not reach them on the weekend. Tried again on Monday using the number indicated in their email as their business number.
The number when called announced it was totally a different number I dialed and that that number was no longer in service? Called their local number listed on the Internet and surpisingly got a person. The person asked why I ordered a REFURBISHED camera (no where in their site information did it say I was ordering refurbished goods)! I told him I DID NOT order a refurbished camera. He said I did, however, I could get a NEW camera for just $60 more. I refused to fall for this bate & switch game. When I refused he nastily said he would cancel my order. I said fine, DO IT! I later got an email saying my order was cancelled becuase they didn't have the goods in stock???? I would not recommend anyone doing business with these guys (assuming it is a business and it does exist). Use extreme caution if you do!!!"
"This company gives new meaning to the WORDS "FRAUDULENT BUSINESS PRACTICES" !. I ordered a $440 sony camcorder, less than 5 minutes later I received a call from a sales person telling me it was an absolutely wonderful camera & that I would just love it. He then tried to sell me a battery for an additional $130. I declined the purchase of the battery. I went on line to check the status of my order & it had been cancelled. I called them & they hung upo on me. The second time I called they said the were sold out. I told the sales person someone had just called & said what a great camera I had ordered. The response I got was "LADY, IT'S SOLD OUT, get it SOLD OUT", even though it says it is in stock on their website. I would NEVER recommend this company. They are rude as well as being deceitful."
"I placed an order for a Rebel XT 350D camera kit, but just as I was about to confirm my order something told me to check the place out before placing my order. So I came here and read the horor stories about this place. So I pressed the "CANCEL ORDER" button and the website placed the order anyway. I immidiately called the credit card company and canceled the order and locked out any charges from Stargate Photo. I also told them that I want my card number changed if they tried to charge anything else. Thanks for the heads-up everyone."
