"StubHub created a memory that I can not forget. I wasn't planning to go to the concert at until 4 hours before showtime. StubHub made that possible even though the tickets were sold out. Thanks StubHub."
"I bought a ticket on September 13th for a concert on November 22nd. This ticket was approximately $46. When I bought the ticket I was told that it would be ready by November 21st. It never became ready. I was given a refund, but forced to buy a ticket on ticketmaster for THREE TIMES THE PRICE. I committed to buying this ticket early so that I could get a good price. Stubhub couldn't deliver me my ticket with over 2 months of time, and ticketmaster got me my ticket in seconds. Ridiculous."
"Tried to sell 2 tickets on StubHub for a Garth Brooks concert. The tickets were bought at 11pm ET the night before the concert. Was asleep at that time - I woke the next day to a threatening email sent at 2am or so saying that I only had an hour left to transfer the tickets or face charges. I immediately transferred them then.
Turns out I listed them wrong and the sale was canceled. I looked at my tickets very closely and listed them again, exactly as I saw them. They sold again, were canceled again. We called StubHub and after quite a few minutes, the customer service rep confirmed that I had listed them wrong again, but that the ticket denominations were very, very confusing. At this point , it was too late to sell the tickets and I gave them away I stead.
StubHub is now charging me almost $300 in penalties for what was clearly an honest mistake. They refuse to budge on these charges. What I was told, verbatim, is: “There is no one at this company that will reverse these charges as these are the policies you agreed to when you signed up.” I have heard only of very few companies that would take such a condescending, dismissive, and clinical approach to treating their customers. Yes, technically I did agree to those policies and technically I did list the tickets wrong. But considering that their own representative found the ticket denominations confusing — though he conveniently forgot to mention any penalties for mis-listing tickets —, I find these charges to border on theft. (Note that they surpass the total original cost of my tickets which, again, I did not sell in the end.)
Needless to say, I deleted my account and will not be using StubHub again."
"Purchased tickets for an event on Sep 22nd.
Refused entry to the event as the tickets were invalid.
Completed a complaint for a refund as per their "guarantee" on Sep23rd. Including evidence from the venue.
Following a lack of response I chased them THREE times. Finally receive a response that they are forwarding my claim to the team.
They subsequently tell me that they received the complaint too late and will not be issuing a refund as per their "guarantee".
This was despite a phone rep telling me they could see the log of activity on my account."
"They make extra effort to make you unsatisfied. Turn a a 5minute minor bar code misunderstanding into a 4 week numerous lengthy phone calls with no end in sight. They sold my ticket and won't pay me the $200 owed. The supervisor Kaylee in salt lake city is basically committing white collar crime by cashing a paycheck for as little effort given to satisfy a simple situation. Would hate to see how they handle a bigger problem. Michigan state ticket department is just as bad in the effort they make on their side"
"We purchased ticket for an event in LA. Got confirmation email and link to "get tickets" Clicked on it to get tickets and insert all the inf"
"They sold the ticket that was invalid, someone already entered the event with a ticket issued for the same seat. Next time I go with Vivid Seats. I never had this problem with Vivid Seats."
"SCAM LOST ALL MY MONEY!
I live in Canada and was traveling to Spain for vacation. I thought it would be a good idea to catch a La Liga Football in Sevilla Spain game on 10/20/2019.
On September 23rd I purchased tickets from stub hub
After purchasing, I spoke with their international tickets team and was informed by the CSR that the tickets where supposed to be mailed directly to my home in Canada by Oct 02nd 2019
On September 24th I called stub hub international tickets team to confirm my address for delivery
On October 01st I called Stub hub international tickets team to confirm delivery status and was assured my tickets where on route and expected to arrive by oct 2nd
On October 03rd I called Stub hub international tickets team again because I still did not receive my tickets. When I called in the CSR told me to wait untill Saturday Oct 04th and they would have an update on my order
I called international tickets team again on Oct 04th, and was told my tickets were still on route
I called international tickets team again on Oct 5th and spoke with CSR AGENT STEVEN. He was extremely rude and was heard chuckling/laughing at my situation. Steven then flat out said he refuses to give me a refund and told me that I need to have them shipped to an address in Spain like my hotel and to tell the hotel that I have "work documents" being mailed out. I did not feel comfortable with this and told them I no longer wanted the tickets since they can no longer meet the original terms of my purchase and I requested a refund.
However STEVEN REFUSED because they claim they offered me an alternate solution by asking me to lie to my hotel.
I escalated my issue to the evening Supervisor for the International ticket LUKE who told me the same thing. He also told me someone from his office will call me back in 24-48hrs with a resolution.
The date is 11/7/2019 and I have not received a phone call, email, or text to address this issue.
SCAM COMPANY JUST WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!!
I still have not received the tickets and service promised as per the terms of the sale. They should not have allowed me to make a purchase if they could not deliver the product to Canada essentially they entered into a contract they could not fulfill at my loss. Very poor unethical sales/CSR conduct.
If I could give negative stars I would have."
"My friends and I booked tickets for a popular comedian's show in Des Moines about a month before the show. Despite our having paid for the tickets a full month in advance the seller backed out the day before the event when all other tickets were sold out. Why is backing out last minute even an option? Buyers can't back out, but sellers can change their minds right up till the day before the event which is completely unacceptable. StubHub refunded our tickets and gave us a $60 credit to split between the 4 of us, but we don't care about the money. We want the experience we booked and paid for a whole MONTH IN ADVANCE. Stubhub makes it way too easy for sellers to screw over the buyers and they seriously need to fix this issue. If the seller could only back out for say 48 hours we could've bought tickets from someone else and still gone to the event. Instead, because of the totally broken system of Stubhub my friends and I got completely screwed over by seller BS even though we did everything correctly."
"Terrible customer service! After speaking with them about a ticket issue they did nothing but blame me and offered no help for an issue related to their own app+site! First time needing help and it was so bad I’ll never go back"
"Bought tickets, wrong ones were sent. Thought I saved about 10% on great tickets over what I would have paid at the box office, but instead they sent junk tickets at 25% more than they cost at box office. The event is not sold out but here I am 2 days later with the majority of decent seats now already taken. It took 15 minutes (not an exaggeration) to get someone from customer service, who obviously didn't give a care in the world , and they try to rectify by offering me tickets in a different section that are similarly (inflated) priced. Instead I cancelled and bought tickets two seats over from what they offered... directly from the box office for 25% less. How is this joke of a company a successful business? I'm fuming at my terrible, terrible experience."
"I bought a concert ticket but they cancelled my transaction as well as locked my account. And they told me I have to call them and contact my credit card company which I don't even know what to say. There's nothing wrong with my credit card. What's more, I already bought a parking ticket on other website and now they totally ruined my schedule and wasted my money. Customer service is not helpful either."
"I bought football tickets with Stubhub, I paid $500. I got an email saying "Enjoy the match! your tickets have been delivered". The tickets never arrived. I tried to called Stubhub, I never managed to get anybody on the phone. Then I managed to get on a chat. They explained to me that the tickets were delivered to a post office. I tried to pick the tickets at the post office but it was closed on Saturday, I explained this to Stubhub....they said that it was my problem, not theirs...."
"Absolutely horrendous. I purchased tickets for an event located in Chicago, 15 minutes from me. I received these tickets several days later, after receiving no receipt, and upon opening them, I saw that the venue was wrong; in other words, they were not the tickets I selected. On the email Stubhub states, and I quote: "Make sure your tickets match what you ordered." While I realize this is not exactly an assurance of their customer service department's helpfulness or the overall company's integrity-- hint hint, they have none-- it seems to me the implication is nonetheless that one should call them if there has been an error, and acknowledgement of the fact they indeed, like anyone, can and sometimes do make errors. As such, I immediately called them. Aside from the order ID listed alongside the tickets, I had, as I said, never received a receipt, which in retrospect I suppose should have made me suspicious. Turns out that the performer I was going to see was in downtown Chicago Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but somewhere else on Thursday. Stubhub had listed the venue in the incorrect place for Thursday, instead listing it as the same location as Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I explained to them the situation, and that since their website was wrong, I hoped they could do something to assist me. It was after all, their error. Unfortunately, and much to their apparent delight, since they never actually sent me a receipt I was unable to prove this. As the prospect of me driving the 4 hours it would take to get to the actual venue was not all too enticing, particularly given that the show started in an hour, I continued to request their assistance. After all, first they didn't send me the tickets in a timely manner and thus I was not able to see that they had made an error on the listing, and secondly, they provided absolutely zero assistance in remedying their error. Instead, a rude, condescending employee suggested I make an account on their website and attempt to "resell the tickets," not an all too likely option given that the show was about to start. I repeatedly explained the situation, and he repeatedly cited that the tickets listed said date and said venue as proof that they were correct. Obviously the tickets said this; my issue was that those were not the tickets I ordered. Claiming that because the tickets are for a certain venue at a certain date and time, it is proof that that is what you ordered is quite the Catch-22. Beware! You may end up with Taylor Swift tickets instead of the tickets to your sports game, and the fact that these are the tickets you received must be proof that this is what you ordered! Stubhub, after all, is infallible! I requested to speak to a manager, and the employee refused to transfer me, instead putting me on a long hold only to come back and state, once again, that they could "do nothing for me." Finally, I created an account on their website, and, what do you know! My (incorrect) tickets were nowhere to be found, despite the charge on my card! I had yet to see, or even conceive of, there being a company with such little principle. StubHub is an absolutely atrocious company. Stay away and purchase your tickets elsewhere and save yourself the headache!"
"Next time I will just buy from a scalper. I need the ticket before the day before the event. I will be on the road and I have no way of printing this ticket. I don't want to use my phone. I may be the only person in the world that leaves their phone in the car at events. So now because of Stub Hub I have to bring my !@#$ phone into the venue. I will preach to every one I know about how this company blows, I'll probably make some stuff up to add to the drama. I wont be able to stop all sales but I bet I can stop a few. I have to wait until the seller releases them. The tickets should be released to Stub Hub before they can even sell them. "
"Not sure who is to blame, the Venue or Stubhub. Either way, I will not do business with either in the future.
I bought tickets through Stubhub four months before the concert. They told me the tickets would not be available to download until the day before the show. Tonight is the concert and I had to contact them because the ticket was still not available. They informed me that the seller no longer had the ticket and offered a refund. This was very disappointing to learn, especially since the concert starts in only three hours."
