"Ordered two old SCSI drives that were marked as "new" on their webpage. Received them in the mail 5 days after ordering but they are listed as reconditioned. I e-mail them and tell them that their website is wrong and give the URL (http://store.yahoo.com/surpluscomputers/seagbarst18s.html). After a slow RMA process I eventually get my full refund due to their error. However the webpage still lists the drives as being new.
Several miscommunications during RMA including being told I would receive my RMA number on a Wednesday and getting it Thursday evening as well as being told that credits are done on a Friday only to be told that they are done on a Wednesday."
"I have both called and emailed trying to get order status...No response! They should at least have online order tracking to keep buyers out of the dark. This would also reduce the number of customer service requests.

"Currently, I am disatisfied with SurplusComputers. Prior to purchase, I was unable to obtain a response to an inquiry as to specifications on some monitors. The monitor that I did order had specifications listed on the website that do NOT match the monitor that I have received. I am currently awaiting a reply from their establishment so I can return it, assuming they will permit me.

Shipping is fast, but a bit pricey. Returning defective items is a slow and difficult process, however. I buy MANY items from other online resellers who get my business because they QUICKLY replace DOA's and warranteed items. SurplusComputers.com does not."

"I ordered a used cable modem from them, and it could not be activated by my cable system- they needed a special barcode from the modem or manual to legally activate it. The tech people at Surplus Computers were unable to help, and the company was unwilling to ship me another unit to swap out, and was going to charge me shipping again as well as a restocking fee of 20% for an unusable product. My worst experience ever with an e-retailer. Avoid like the plague if you have any likelihood of return or tech support need. They were anything but helpful."
"Ordered 14 CDRW/DVD drives from the website on 12/17/03 ($650+ order). "Free" Items don't ring correctly (credit issued). Return to work 1/8/04. Where are my drives? I leave a voice mail for the shipping department. No response until 1/12/04 (generic order cancelled e-mail). I call (where's my $650). Message forwarded to staff in accounting. Called again 1/14/03. Accounting responds with credit. "Out of Stock" drives are still listed on the web site. I will not order from this company if I need my product in a timely manner. Also they charge before they ship (a no-no for sure). Buyer beware. As per seller's response: I have the credit card statements to prove my above statments. Never is a long time."
"I placed an order with SurplusComputers on the 11th of December. I ordered 3 items. On the 16th of December, I got an email saying one of the items I ordered was not in stock and they are canceling it from my order and refunding the amount of that item(BTW - the item still shows as in stock on their website). They did not however, refund me the shipping cost for that item. I should not be charged shipping for an item that never shipped!! I emailed them a response on the 16th regarding this issue and as of Dec 29th have not heard back. I can only assume they are going to keep my money for an item they never shipped. Very bad and slow customer service! I will not be ordering from, or recommending this company."
