"This was my second purchase in a row in which I received defective merchandise which possibly could have been damaged in transit as I am 3500 miles away. The first purchase made in September 2004 was only resolved in Dec. 2004 after I appealed to the CEO of Surplus Computers to get his employees to respond. I had made many e-mails and phone calls to no avail prior.
The prices are great, the service is terrible and you have to pay the shipping to return the defective merchandise eliminating any savings. I would still recommend them but be prepared to say a lot of prayers to get your merchandise working. "

"Great price! I saw this DVD-RW drive elsewhere with a higher recording speed, but decided I didn't need that speed. This DVD-RW was $30 less than the higher recording speed drive.

The drive arrived wrapped in bubble wrap. No anti-stat bag. I thought that was a little cheezy considering these bags aren't expensive.

I also purchased CyberlinkDVD 5.0 OEM. I wish the web site had said the OEM version only supported 2 speakers, not 4."
