"This company is the WORST!!!! They should print in bold-face type in the catalog --- "WE DO NOT SHIP ORDERS UNTIL 7-10 DAYS AFTER WE RECEIVE THEM" --- AT THE EARLIEST!!!!
Slow shipping, rude customer service (the customer service lady tried to make it sound like it was my fault that the order shipped late --- I am still trying to scratch my head and figure out how I have control over their warehouse).
Quality of their items I have order in the past has not be great, but this time, this whole shipping debacle has finished me as a customer of theirs, FOREVER!!!!!"

"Very very poor customer service and business practices. Pulled a "Bait and Switch" by changing my order without giving my an opportunity to cancel. Sent out a modified order and billed my credit card.
Furthermore, their products are dry, waxy and tasteless. Twinkies have more taste and flavor then the waxy chunks of "chocolate" this place sells."

"I have been a return customer for Swiss Colony for years. The prices are steep, but the quality of the products is incredible. The gift packaging is nice and my gift recipients always enjoy the products."
"Based on about a dozen separate shipments over a three year span, Swiss Colony belongs near, if not at, the bottom rung of online vendors.
For example: they sometimes add extra shipping charges to the total AFTER sending e-mail confirmations which supposedly indicate total charges and items ordered. They have charged me different amounts for identical orders—on the same day. You cannot count on their e-mail confirmations to accurately represent total charges and items shipped.
Also, if there is a toll free number, it is not easily (if at all) available on their webpage.
But worst of all, the food quality is erratic. I’ve given up and will not order again."
"I needed this order to be shipped within four days. When it did not arrive and I received an email saying that it would not be delivered when I expected it (which was Nov. 5, 2004) I called the company and asked that the order be cancelled. I was told over the phone that since it wasn't due to be shipped until Nov.8, 2004. I was told over the phone that I could keep the package at no cost to me if it was not cancelled.
It was not cancelled and I chose to return the item unopened from the Post office the day it arrived. I discovered recently that I am still be charged shipping and handling even though there were no errors on my part. It has been exasperating dealing with customer service and it seems no matter to them that I am totally disatisfied with this whole experience. It is indeed the worst experience that I have had with any company - especially online."
"When you place an order they give you the option to have it delivered on a certain day. I ordered mine to be Delivered on Feb 14 (Valentines Day) and have yet to receive it. Also, they told me that one of the items that I ordered they ran out of and was removed from order. I believe I received this notification on the 13th. When I emailed them asking about the shipping problems they simply told me to allow 2 weeks for shipping! Please warn others of their poor Business Ethics. Thanks"

She politely told me to "shop locally." She referred me to a Teresa Snotgrass who refused to send me another ham and/or credit me. I'm returning this rotten ham via fedx to her personally. "
"Swiss Colony is one of the worst companies that I have ever done business with. The original order was never sent and after two weeks and a threat to cancel the order. They did finally send my request. My account with them has been a mess. I received a deferment on the first payment and they never honored it. They send constant letters that threaten my credit and law suits. They have admitted on several occasions that they were in error, but they can never seem to recall it when the problem repeats itself. I would never again purchase anything from Swiss Colony again."
