"I ordered an Olympus WS-500M digital voice recorder. It was a newly released item. Quite a few other websites have the product on pre-ordered status so I'm a little bit skeptical that TheNerds.net would have them in stock. However since the price is very attractive ($25 less than Dell), I decided to place an order anyway. Well it arrived in less than a week!

I extremely happy with this purchase. The item arrived quickly and in perfect condition. And the price is unbelieveably good.

"I ordered the product and and I spoke to a customer service rep. and he stated that my order would ship that day. Then I get an email stating that the unit would not be shipped after my account was already charged. So I had to weight for a refund when they should have filled my charged order. Very disappointed with thenerds.net I will never order from this company who is obviously not organized very well with their own inventory. That is sad

"I ordered an HP 12C Platinum 25th Anniversary Edition financial calculator on 5/6/09. I was willing to pay a bit more for the 25th Anniversary Edition ($83, after $10 base shipping) than for the regular Platinum version ($67 from Amazon w/ free shipping). However, to my surprise, THENERDS.COM SENT ME THE WRONG ITEM- the regular Platinum version. This is despite the item's name, description, and picture all detailing the 25th Anniversary Edition on thenerds' website. I wrote customer service days ago seeking resolution, and have not heard a thing back from them. Apparently HP does not allow any reseller to accept product returns (DESPITE PRODUCT MISREPRESENTATION), so thenerds feels it doesn't need to respond. The bottom line: THENERDS.NET WILL NEVER GET BUSINESS FROM ME AGAIN!"

"Beware of thenerds.net. They will take your order and charge you twice for the same item and good luck to get you money back.

I placed the order and paid for it by PayPal, I have received only part of it. When I was investigated where is the rest of it, they promise me to issue the money back, but they request to pay for what I had by credit card.

They charged me on PayPal and credit card and never issue any money back. I have been trying to fix this situation for the year but I can not, I was trying to get help from PayPal (They investigated case and after coupe months they said that the transaction is not from eBay). I was trying to get money with my credit card company (but after 4 months they close the case, just because they can not get credit from merchandise). I was trying to contact thenerds.net they promise me to transfer the money on my credit card, but they have not so far.

So I am fighting for my $3,000.00 with out any success.

The customer service of the nerds company hung up on me so often so it is impossible to talk with this guys.

Do yourself a favor, learn from my mistake and avoid these company.

"First, let me say that the Nerds were fine to deal with. Unfortunately, what I got from them has been an on-going disaster. Rebit backup; their motto is "RIDICULOUSLY simply backup". May I suggest instead, "RIDICULOUSLY bad software"?

The item I ordered--a rebit backup disk--does not function with Windows XP/SP3. I am still waiting for a software update from the company. Meanwhile, all I have is a $200 boat anchor.

UPDATE June 5: Well, rebit got the disk to work on XP--sort of. Sometimes it will not safely disconnect, and this "multi-PC" version did not recognize a 3rd computer, although the 2nd one went very smoothly. Not quite a boat anchor, but not full functioning either.

"The order arrived quickly, within a week. My only complaint is that I waited 72 hours to see the UPS shipping information. It never did appear online, so I had to call to find out when it shipped and to get the tracking number."

"I ordered a logitech squeezebox boom from thenerds.com on 4/27/2009.
On 5/7/2009 i hadnt received the product yet, so I called the customer service to inquire, they said that they will call me back.
I received an email 20 mins later that the item is on back order so my order is canceled, I went to their website and it showed that the product is in stock and ready to ship, I also called their sales and they said its in stock and they were ready to charge me and ship it.
So I called the customer service again they mentioned that its not in stock, when I explained that the website and sales dept say that its available they said that now its sells for 50$ more and they are willing to sell it to me for 280 instead of original 230.
These people didnt honor their sales and canceled my order and were willing to sell it to me at a higher price, I will never shop with them again, I assume they dont care.

"I ordered a projector, screen, and accessories. The projector turned out to be a refurb (they never shipped it) -- false advertising. After 21 days of hounding them to process my refund and give me an RMA for the screen, I still have not gotten it yet, though I was promised it was processing every time I called.

Apparently, John Nantz is their only CSR. He is nice, but every time he said the refund was processing, I never got it. (Their accounting department must not know the meaning of "refund").

I will never order from this company again, as their follow-through with customer service is utterly terrible.
