"The worst company ever. When I ordered my camera, the site said there were 10 in stock. I was supposed to have shipping info within 2 days. I waited a week, and got no updated shipping info. I called the company to see what was going. Waited on hold for 20 minutes while the rep was trying to find out where the camera was, then got hung up on. Called again and waited another 15 minutes to find out that I was charged $420 for a camera they don't have and that they aren't planning on restocking. Lovely. So when were they going to tell me and give me a refund!! These people are crooks. STAY AWAY!!!"

What can I say . These guys rock. I placed my order and paid with paypal on the 26th. My order was confirmed and on the 28th. I called and I was told that the order was in the process off being shipped. Friday the 30th., the package was delivered at ny house in the a.m. Fantastic price,Excellent service and communication, along with lightning fast delivery. "Shipping was not in a timely fashion. Site claims in stock items usually ship the same day if ordered before 4pm. My order was not only in before that time but also paid the four dollars for extra priority to be sure it was shipped quickly. Waste of money as the item was not shipped for two additional days. Item was thrown in a box with a small amount of paper on top leaving the camera to slide around as the box was handled. Fortunately everything was ok but only due to good packaging by the manufactor. I will think twice before using this company again."

"Disatisfied with their customer service. I ordered a GPS from another store, then it was back ordered and cancelled. So I came to Nerds.net and saw they had 5 of them in stock and I called customer service and they said yes they 'do have them in stock. So I ordered. Two days later they sent me a letter to tell me that they were out of stock. They also said I would receive credit to my account for the item which they have already taken the money for- now 6 days later, still no credit. They have offered a token apology of free shipping on another order, I may still give them one more try depending on whether or not they get my account credited. At this point, unhappy with the company and service."
"I was trying to find the new Lumix ZS3 camera in stock, but everyone was sold out, or didn't have it in stock yet. I found it at thenerds.net for a very good price. I didn't hesitate to order it because the site said they only had seven left in stock.
After I ordered it I expected the stock to update to only six left, but it still showed seven. This got me worried that their stock may have been depleted since it didn't update dynamically. I called the next day and was assured that my order would ship that day. Sure enough a few hours later I received a tracking number. My order was shipped from California, so it took a few days to get here, but it arrived just in time for my trip, and the camera is great!
Thenerds.net came through when everyone else didn't have the item in stock. I was a bit skeptical given the negative feedback, but in my case they delivered! Thanks!
My only suggestion would be regarding the online stock supply, either make it a dynamic countdown of the items, or keep it generic (item quantity - low, very low, etc).

"This order never shipped, to the best of my knowledge. Our credit card was charged the full amount. We finally called them on April 20, and they admitted that it probably did not ship, and they promised that it would arrive by Thursday, April 23, because we were leaving the country the next day. We let them know that if it did not arrive by the end of that day, we would be initiating a chargeback with the credit card company. April 23rd passed, and we checked our credit card company, and the charge had not been reversed, so we are disputing the charge.
This is inexcusable behaviour. Orders should not be charged until it is reasonably sure they can be shipped. TheNerds said that they charge the card immediately, then issue a drop-ship order to the manufacturer, who they blamed for the non-shipment. Pass the buck! Someone else's problem! Not a very good way to manage customer relations.
We will not do business with this company again, and urge others to do the same."
"I ordered a TechCraft 48" Flat Panel Credenza from TheNerds.net mainly because the price was much, much lower than anywhere else and the shipping cost was only $10!
The order was entered on Thursday (4/9) and was delivered (in CT) on Monday (4/13).
I put the unit together on Wednesday (4/15). The instructional diagrams were easy to follow and everything fit together perfectly. One of the hinges was broken however (clearly before packing at the manufacturer.) I went to the TechCraft website, entered a part replacement request. The new hinge arrived on Saturday (4/18) at no charge to me.
All in all a very positive experience with both TheNerds and TechCraft.
