"Not only did they have the lowest price on the item I ordered (ups) they also had the lowest shipping. So you can imagine my surprise when a private delivery service showed up the day after I ordered with item! I was counting on about a week to get the item, but they shipped from a distributor close by and delivered ASAP. Next day air would not have gotten here this quickly.

"I ordered a product from TheNerds based on their product description and the photo of the item shown on their website. I received a different item. When I called them, the customer service rep (Robbie) told me that the pictures online didn’t matter and I couldn’t expect them to match up with the actual product I was ordering. Huh?
All I wanted was a copy of Windows Vista – just like the one shown in the photo and described in the text. I received an “upgrade” from Vista Business to Ultimate which had a different label, and was in a different box which wasn’t even SHAPED like the one which was shown online. (No well-known Microsoft curved corner – just a plain flat box.)
Anyone can make a mistake. Perhaps the mistake was mine for not having ESP and already knowing that the product described and what would be sent wouldn’t match. But to be told that I can’t expect the products shown for sale to match the ones sent seems like not only terrible customer service, but poor training on the part of a company that clearly doesn’t have its act together.
UPDATE:
I got a call from Customer Service almost immediately after posting this review (I guess they monitor this review site closely). They waived the 30% restocking fee and returned all the funds. It’s frustrating that it takes a bad review to get attention, but nice to know that it works.

"I ordered a Denon receiever on a Sunday and according to the site shipment should have been the next day or Tuesday at the latest - which didn't happen. I called their customer service number on Wednesday and spoke with a real English speaking American (Eric) who looked up the info and found that it was shipping out that day and gave me a UPS tracking number. He explained that they sometimes will use distribution centers to ship out their merchandise and in these instances they have little control over the shipment timeline.
I had taken advantage of a special low-priced shipping offer ($ 9.98 for UPS ground - excellent value for a 30 pound item) so I hadn't expected especially fast delivery but it would've been better if their e-mail communication had alerted me to how things worked.
Being able to talk with a knowledgeable customer service person was great and the overall experience was quite satisfactory.
I'd do business with them again - especially at the low prices that they offered."
