1) tremendously improve their security, and

Their site says that Fed Ex 2-3 day Air delivery was the norm.

1/2 of my order shows up on the 18th (compactflash reader), the other 1/2 (compactflash memory card) ships on the 18th.
Called customer support, they weren't much help.
Ended up talking to Jay, the customer service manager. He acknowledged a mistake was made, and had a second compactflash shipped that day. He followed up by calling the shipper to verify the memory card would arrive before we left on vacation.

Had Jay not gotten involved, I would not have considered doing business with them again, but he was very responsive, thus allowing them another chance in the future.

"I found TheNerds.net through a MySimon search for an LG Electronics L1800P LCD monitor. MySimon showed a shipping charge of $25 but TheNerds site's showed over $50. I sent email asking if I could get the $25 shipping rate but have never received a response. I needed the monitor, so I ordered anyway. Confirming email was sent very quickly. UPS tracking information was available well within 24 hours, as promised. UPS indicated they got the package the very next day and I had my monitor in a total of 5 days, which included a weekend. The box contained exactly what I ordered, in fine condition and it worked perfectly. I thought $51 shipping for a 24 pound item to be excessive, but I would consider buying from them again."
