"Ordered a calendar and did not even ship out until 4 days later, who knows when I will receive it. I have also tried to contact them through email twice and have received no response both times.

"Their website mangled my data, and the books were sent to an address that was obviously incomplete: just my name and the name of the large town where I live. No books ever arrived, and Book Depository refused to send another shipment until they received the package back in their warehouse. They told me to "contact us on a weekly basis to see if we have received the titles." (!!) I then asked for a refund, but of course they refused. No phone number on the website, no way to talk with a live person. All communications via Email and extremely unhelpful. I greatly regret having ordered through them.

"I regrettably purchased a book from this disreputable company almost a month ago and have still not received my book. The supposed tracking page has not changed in status in over 3 weeks and the site offers no phone number or customer support contact at all. The only way to contact the company is by emailing the general "help" address which is virtually unresponsive. I highly recommend using another company such as Amazon."

"I find prices really competitive, so this year I tried to buy from them 5 books for my Harvard courses. Unfortunately they don't support all credit cards, and if you are an International student with your car issued in another country different from the US I guess you will have to stick with Amazon or http://www.google.com/products

Customer service is fast but rude, and apparently they don't read well the orders, cause first they cancelled my order because they thought I needed the books shipped to my home country.

"Bookdepository are based in the UK and I often use them to purchase books that haven't been published in the US. They're prices are often less than Amazon (either the UK or the US stores) and they always have free shipping. I've also used them to send books as presents to family in Ireland.

To the US, Books can take more than a week to get here, but considering they're shipped transatlantic that's still impressive and comparable to free shipping from other companies based in the US.

Usually shipping is on time, but recently books shipped to Ireland arrived almost 2 week after they were shipped. I believe this was due to foul weather which caused postal delays in Ireland.

I've been happy with the Book Depository, their shipping, and prices and will shop with them again."
