"The experience at this UPS store in Walla Walla is unbelievable, just look at all the reviews, it's hard to get that many negatives. I'm from LA and all the UPS stores are very accommodating and professional, disgusting business ethics for Walla Walla. I needed 1, 18" piece of tape for my box and they refused, told me to buy a roll from their stand. The young girl was rude and says, this is a business, wow. Yeah, a business to serve customers, I hope they close down I really do. I'm going to contact UPS about this."
"I went to buy stamps at the Fifth St. UPS Store in Santa Monica, Ca., Store #7160. I asked for stamps. She brought out a pack of stamps and I produced my credit card. Then she told me, "It's gonna ask you if you want to donate. Do you want to donate?" I asked, "Donate to what?". She ignored me. I asked again....same response. She said, "Put your card in the unit". Now I'm really feeling her 'attitude', and it stinks. She is dismissive and passive aggressive because I asked a simple question. I'm the customer and deserve a decent answer in my opinion. I looked at her directly and asked for a third time, "What would I be donating to??" She said, "I have no idea." Now I'm getting weary of her provocative attitude and passive aggressive act and find it incredulous that her store would ask for a donation and not inform an employee about what it's for. I said, "So, you have no idea what my donation would be for??!!" "That's right. I have no idea", was her response. I asked, "Don't you think that's a little bit crazy to ask a customer for a donation and not know what it's for, where it will go?" Once again, no response. I got the full, 'screw you, I'm not even going to acknowledge your question" attitude. She was obviously relishing her efforts to aggravate a paying customer.
It got worse from there because I did my best to torture her during the finishing of the transaction, which I felt she fully deserved. That was my decision. I'm very comfortable becoming 'difficult' after such mistreatment from an employee over a simple question. I was really disgusted at her terrible treatment and attitude.
I am not one to show a big phony smile each time I go into a business, but I did not abuse her in the beginning of our interaction. She may have taken my question as a challenge (her problem), but all she had to do was tell me where the donation would go. It was a simple question, even if asked without a big phony smile.
I should have walked out, cancelled transaction and asked for the manager's contact information to report exactly what went on.
This is not the first time I've witnessed incompetence, uncaring employees and generally very poor, shoddy customer service at the UPS Store directed at me AND at other customers. Her employee # is 176099 and the store is located at 1212 Fifth St., Santa Monica, CA, 90401. The transaction invoice number is ***-***-****.
I will not ever be returning to any UPS Store. I certainly will not recommend the business and will be happy to recount my terrible experience as a paying customer who had a simple question.

"I visit the flushing store #6905 very frequently because of the excellent service provided by Neo. When I walk in the door he knows exactly why I'm there. He's very knowledgeable and patient and continues to provide excellent service.

"I waited for a long time while the incompetent notary in the store tried to get connections to do his thing with his iPad —- it got worse from there when he questioned the document in needed a signature notarized on — he then refused to notarize my signature. Found another notary near by. Very disappointed in UPS store."
"Went to the UPS Store to ship a small toy to my grandson (who currently lives in Australia) from Colorado. The UPS Store charged $121 to ship the item; however, it was returned from the Post Office due to no Customs paperwork being attached.
When the UPS Store was contacted and given a chance to re-ship -- they refused liability and said that once it left their hands (though they did the packaging and initiated the shipment) they no longer had any liability. If I wanted it re-shipped, then I would have to pay another $121.
If you want to ship something in the future. Suggest you go to a Post Office. UPS provides no warranty for their services!"
"I just went to the Apollo Beach Florida UPS store to ships and packages, and decided to buy some stamps. I asked for 3 books.
They did not tell me there was a search charge. After I had left I looked. At? My receipt they had. Charged me $5 per book so what would have cost me $36? Up the. Post Office cost me 51 dollars.when I went back to return them. They said they have a no return policy on stamps. And added that that is capitalism.
They clip me for $15. I was unaware. They didn't disclose it. And I told the story manager none disclosure is basically the same as theft. We used to Ship
with U p s.
I think we're gonna switch to Fedex.

"Mr. Pierre Brice at store 5571 is a very professional individual who aims to serve his customers. He is very Kind, vibrant, and was willing to assist without the additional stress. He’s absolutely Fantastic. Please go see him for any of your shipping needs. You won't be disappointed. "
"This is a shout-out to Nick at the UPS store (Store # 3017) in Kissimmee, FL. Nick was very extremely helpful and had a good sense of humor. I needed to ship (overnight) some wedding cake samples to my daughter in CA. Nick knew exactly how much dry ice I need and where to buy them and the styrofoam box. Afterward, he helped me package and tape up the outer box for shipping. He made what I think was a complicated thing into a "no big deal" thing. Thank you."
"Hard to believe that the price estimate on the internet is 1/3 the price they tried to charge me at the UPS Store. It's obvious to me it's intentionally done to lure you over to the physical store. Don't trust the UPS Store Site !!!!!!!!!!!!"
"I paid $820.00 to ship a rare lamp to Wisconsin from store no. 5097. The cost included full replacement value insurance + a "Pack & Ship Guarantee," which reimburses all shipping expenses on goods that arrive damaged. Needless to say, the lamp & shade were badly damaged in transit. When I immediately advised Jennifer of the situation, she told me she needed photos & a proof of purchase to file a claim. I provided these items right away & asked if there was anything else she needed, as I was leaving for several days. She said: "No, that's all I need." After more than a week went by, I received a emailed notice saying that a UPS driver would be coming the next day to pick up the damaged items & all the original boxes & packing materials, which had already been recycled while I was traveling. Without elaborating on all the ugly, greedy, unethical & immoral details with Jennifer, suffice it to say that she screwed me over to the tune of $1600.00!! STAY AWAY FROM ALL UPS STORES, ESPECIALLY STORE # 5097!!"
"I went into the Bloomington IL UPS store to ask if they could do prints from an email. I was told yes. I didn’t catch the employees name, but she was awesome!
I told her that I had stopped across the road at Minerva Promotions for help. I was asked if it was for a shirt. I said no, as a poster print. The employee said they don’t do that. I asked if there was anyone in town who could. This guy laughed at me! Hey Minerva, UPS across the road did my prints! AND the definition of CUSTOMER SERVICE is to help the customer no matter where you spend your money. I’ve worked retail and if my store didn’t have what my customer was looking for and I knew who did have it, I’d tell my customer where they could find what they wanted. "
"The UPS store at 2505 W University Dr in Denton TX made me pay $3.00 for a single piece of tape before they would accept my Amazon return. A Happy customer is not important to that store. "
"I had my daughter ship medication from Lowell Michigan to Parrish Florida and it had to be kept cold. It came hot! Meds were ruined and I paid $122.64 to go next day air. They said my daughter didn’t tell them it had to be kept cold and now it is he said, she said. They said since I DID receive it next day air there isn’t any refund coming! "
"I placed an order with Amazon and had them deliver to a local UPS store. There were two items and they were packaged separately and arrived at the same time. I was charged $7.00 for the larger package as I expected to be, but also charged $7.00 for the smaller package which cost $9.99. I think this is a rip off and when I talked to the owner, he was very rude.
I will not be using this service ever again."
