"shipping damaged products and not replacing them"
"I have recently discovered the Webstaurant store, and what a wonderful place it is. They have all the kitchen stuff I need at one place and shipping is super fast. I get regular email updates of my order starting from the warehouse to the time it arrives at my door step. I'm sure their customer service is friendly and efficient just as the rest of their service is. I, however, did not have to contact them for anything and I have ordered from them quite a few times. They offer a wide range of good quality products at an affordable price. I have had a pleasant shopping experience and will continue to buy from them. "
"We could not get by without their great service and low prices. IN the restaurant business, every penny counts. Webstaurant Store has some of the lowest prices around, beating Restaurant Depot most of the time. They also stand behind their product and make fixing the rare mistakes and breakage issues a breeze. And the shipping is super fast."
"I have been a customer of theirs for over a year, buying lots of different kitchen equipment, small wares, and labels. Among the many things I bought was a robot coupe attachment, which ended up being the wrong one. Of course, since we are busy, no one got around to trying it out for about 60 days and then discovered it was the wrong top.
I contacted them on their online chat help thing and asked if I could exchange it (not a refund) but exchange it for the correct part. I felt like I was at the DMV. The rep literally gave me a link to their returns policy. Forget customer service, this is a joke. They act like these return policies came from the burning bush - it is ridiculous. The part was totally unused and in perfect condition. I understand if it were used or I was asking for a refund, but this was an exchange for a part they had in stock. Not cool. I will not be ordering from them again.

"BAD NEWS. Catch 22 is alive and well and is being played out daily at WEBstaurantStore. Their return policy is simple: NO!!! -- even when the unit is defective.
I purchased a very expensive ROBOT COUPE processor which amazingly is only capable of preparing "HOT NOTHING" as the food slides up the sides of the unit, staying far away from the blades as possible. Now, how could I possibly know how completely ineffectual the unit would be before I opened the box and attempted to use it? Ah-ha That's the Catch 22. Once the box is opened and the unit has been 'used', they REFUSE to make reparations. So there goes $1400 down the toilet. This should not be. I've been a daily user of food processors since they first arrived from France in the early 70's. I know when I've been shafted. Learn from me."
"Would NEVER order from them again. Only have FedEx for delivery so my $62.45 item cost me $25.81 to deliver. I also had to pay EXTRA for the FedEx because it was delivered to my residence not a restaurant/business! Then I had to return the items and there was a 30% re-stocking fee!!! So it cost me and extra $18.74!!! Holy Cow plus I paid the return postage too!
so I lost my $25.91 fedex charge
So I lost my $18.74 restocking fee
so I lost my $16 return postage charge..
So I lost $60.65 on a $62.45 returned item.
WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN ! ! ! Rediculous"
"Thanks for the opportunity to review The WEBstaurant Store. I ordered Tuxton Alaska Wide Rim Rolled Edge Bright White China Plates on 5/23/13. The order arrived the NEXT day in perfect condition! This is my first order and will NOT be my last. Service and response has been great.

"Webstaurantstore.com is my go to place to check prices and look for products. I used to use amazon but now there are so many little vendors that you cannot trust their pricing. Webstaurantstore.com has very timely delivery. I have been satisfied with all products purchased there - from credit card thermal paper to cambro plastics to knives and bowls. Prices have always been the lowest."
"I've been a long time customer and ordered a sandwich/salad prep table, but it arrived with a huge dent where a fork lift had been driven into it. We called repeatedly that day, trying to get some answers and finally found out that our customer service rep, Emily, had gone home for the day without bothering to update us. We asked for the manager and got Jasmine. She promised that they would work with us and get us a return or replacement. Then, after hearing nothing from her for a few days even after repeated emails, I tried a private message on their facebook fan page, followed by a very polite public one. My husband, in desperation, got in the truck and drove to Lancaster PA, which is a 250 mile trip. In their conference room, at 9:00 am the following morning, they promised him a return of cash or a new unit right away. I got an email from Steve (apparently the facebook guy) apologizing for Jasmine's lack of communication. When my husband got to the warehouse to collect the replacement (which they put off by three hours) they refused to load his truck in the way he requested. (We have no fork lift so the unit had to be un-palatized so that we'd be able to get it off his truck at this end.) The employee refused, stating it was against company policy to un-palatize anything. Then Cory promised it would be loaded, but still... nothing. Steve (facebook guy) told me we had a new unit shortly. Their facebook page was updated to say that a new one was coming. But still no budging at the warehouse. My husband left the warehouse and went back over to headquarters and asked to speak to David Groff, the company president, and asked that the staff at the front desk contact Mr. Groff immediately. They refused. He insisted. Then a big threatening dude named Jimmy told my husband he was not welcome on company property and escorted him out of the building and to his truck. (Seriously?!) Now I'm banned from their facebook page. We've been customers for years and have never had any problems until now. And they have not made it right. We've got an $1900 piece of scrap metal, no returns, and no refund. We are out the $1900, plus all the time spent trying to contact them to no avail, plus 500+ miles of driving, the cost of a hotel ($87), gas ($38), straps to secure the unit that was never released ($25) and a lost day (!) right at the point when we are trying to open a restaurant. That's $2,050 and counting. For scrap metal. Hilarious."
"Everything about these people is fantastic. I am not kidding, the customer service, the pricing, the web pages--everything. It's a place I would be happy to work at even. Hell, I'd marry it if I could! It would be easy to tell you what they don't have in restaurant gear than to list the gazillion items they do--and the time I wasn't happy with a product, they made it right CHEERFULLY, TIMELY, and QUICKLY. "
"Great customer service, fast shipping, low prices and quality items! WEBstaurant has it all."
"I found the WEBstaurant Store while looking for a cheap bulk source for molasses, but was pleasantly surprised to find much more. This is now my go-to source for many of my spices and dry goods, which come at a great price with combined shipping. I'm a new fan of buying in bulk!"
"I bought 2 stoves with this company. All was OK until the delivery, I was charged $ 45.00 extra for a liftgate truck that was never used, with no other option My worker used our own forklift to remove the items from the truck. When I wrote and explained what the truth was; they were not helpfull no willing to remove the unnecessary charges. I will contact the better business bureau. I will never ever use them and I strongly do not reccomend them."
"I absolutely LOVE the WEBstaurant Store!! I can find all the boxes, boards and other great stuff I need to run my cake business! Prices are great and they carry EVERYTHING!! "
"The WEBstaurant Store has the best quality and lowest prices on paper products used in our drive-thru coffee shop. They are always reliable and ship by the next day. Shipping prices are high, but overall prices are low enough that we still save money."
