"I bought an "unlocked phone" from them, that was an unlocked model in fact activated on Verizon, booted Verizon, have Verizon apps etc and said "sim card not from Verizon." it did not work properly on AT&T, calls and texts were blocked OR data would shut off with a phonecall. I contacted Verizon with the IMIE and they confirmed that it was associated with an account. I had previously interacted with the seller as they played dumb "it is unlocked" and finally they ignored my last request to return the phone, So I filed a partial refund and got it, yet the phone still cannot be used as I wished for, UNLOCKED. I contacted them again telling them to unlock and remove all accounts or I would escalate against them as they are fraudulently selling locked devices as unlocked, they responded "Ok, if you do not with to cooperate then we can not help you." How hard is it to sell what you advertise? You made the mistake, you fix it."
"My phone was broke pretty bad, but there website was unclear.. I was under the impression that I would get 90 bucks for my s9.. I only got 12. Not much I can do about it now... "
"So I had a Oneplus 5T that I wanted to sell, because I was getting a new phone. TheWhizCells seemed like the better option as they looked legit; and had mostly good reviews. My phone had absolutely no cracks, just a few scratches. I send the phone and it is valued at 210. Two days later, I receive an email saying that the price for the phone has been dropped to 140, due to a chip in the corner of the phone. I chose the quality good on the website because it said moderate scratches and or chips. It didn’t make any sense, and I am extremely disappointed. Don’t take the risk, try selling your phone to companies like apple instead."
“We did address the customer's concerns and they are happy now. Here is a screenshot https://www.screencast.com/t/0YQlL1a4sW”
A rep from Thewhizcells.com, TheWhizCells, has responded:
“Hi Brian,
Yes, this phone was in pretty bad shape. If you look at the condition description of cracked glass you will see that it says the LCD must not be damaged and yours was. The phone was also not paid off and thus has a bad esn on and you selected paid off when placing your order. I am very sorry that you were confused. Know that you always have the option of declining any offer that is made and we will happily return your item at our expense. ”
