"If I could give zero stars I would. Don’t send in your clothes. I’ve never bought anything but I will never send in anything again. I sent in brands like Gap, H&M, Old Navy, Nike…new stuff or gently used. They would sell one item for like $10 and literally give you like $.25 back. I thought it would be great because I wouldn’t have to go to a consignment store but I wish I would have… They are way more fair at consignment stores and at least you can either take the money from the consignment store or take your business elsewhere. I even wish I would’ve just donated. Because I do not want to support this at all. Do not be taken advantage of. Don’t send your stuff in because you will definitely get ripped off. "
"ThredUP should be shut down."
"I sadly sent 2 bags filled to the brim, I literally stuffed the polka dot bag. I sent them a couple weeks apart. I just got notice yesterday that they had "processed" the first bag. They kept 30 items and are paying me a measley $43.00 (minus the 9.99 shipping = a grand total of $33) that is average of 1.10 for each item....REALLY?? Most were name brands & in excellent condition. I am highly suspect & very disappointed. I now wish I had NOT sent off the second bag knowing what I now know. : /
The only positive was the ease of ordering a bag and the pre-done shipping label. Now they just need to pay what items are worth! "
"Buyers beware! DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use #ThredUp for any reason. While it seems like a good deal, they are ripping people off left and right. Against my own better judgment, I agreed to send them my gently used (brand name) clothes for them to consign with the promise that they'd either give me a check or add credit to my account (I chose the latter). HOWEVER, when they received my bag but didn't get back to me for weeks, I inquired today about the status. They only then informed me that ALL of my clothes were "not usable" and therefore they would not be paying me for any of them. They then proceeded to tell me they would, however, gladly send my clothes back to me at MY expense ($10.00). So basically, they CLAIM my clothes are unusable and now they want to charge me to send them back!? I guarantee if I give it a couple weeks, I'll start seeing my clothes and shoes pop up on their website. Some of those clothes were brand spankin new with tags and everything. And I know for a fact there were at least 3 pair of brand new shoes in there as well. And of course, when I emailed them back to express my DISPLEASURE with their service, they refused to respond or talk to me. There's no telling where this "company" even is. No BBB I can report to. Nothing I can do about it. So please do not get roped in to giving this company your clothes for free. You will never see them again and you'll not get a penny. Oh, I'm sure someone somewhere out there will respond and say "I got money for my clothes!" Well, good for you. Even illegitimate businesses do some legitimate things from time to time to keep up appearances. I know I'm not the only one. I know, I only have myself to blame. I had a feeling this might happen but I did it anyway. I would much rather have given them away for free to charity, which is what I'll do next time. "
"I have placed four orders with ThredUp since January 2018. Total 12 items, 2 returned; with shipping total expense around $135. All clothing was in excellent condition, and the two were returned because they did not fit. Returns were promptly processed. As an "older woman" who still likes fashion but is on a limited budget, I have been able to buy stylish, like-new, recent clothing from brands I could not afford now through ThredUp and I am thrilled! Yes, they are more expensive than local thrift shops, but have a much better selection and brands; and the clothes are CLEAN, unlike what I find locally. I like that thrifting is good for the environment, as well. I totally endorse this company and will continue shopping with them. I urge all skeptics to try them!!!"
"Thred Up pays out worse than garage sale prices! Seriously!
I sent a bag full, they kept 20 items, donated rest and then gave me .50 cents store credit, oh yeah, and they have to charge YOU for shipping the bag of clothes to them. MESSED UP!
They are making BANK $$$ on this and it's pathetic!"
"I submitted a very large bag full of good quality items, some never used. It took over a month for them to process the bag. They accepted 30 items and my payout was only $4.95. What bothers me is that they have sent me emails saying 7 of my items have sold. I made about 15 cents per item. Waste of time. I would have felt better donating these items to charity. "
"I have had really good customer service with the orders I've placed. I even sent an email to the CEO (as he asked to be advised of any issues.) My issue was that I reserved an item and then it disappeared from my shopping cart. I was contacted early the next day, the problem was resolved immediately, and my package was shipped quickly. I love the way ThredUP packages orders, it is done very well and with attractive packaging. I don't spend a lot of time shopping, but every time I visit ThredUP I find something to love!
I returned a pair of boots that I just had to have. Although I ordered my normal size, they were too big. My return was processed very quickly and with no hassles.

"There is no way to get an easy answer. Did away with chat and has no phone number if you need a fast answer. My shoes were in the cart. It said size was between 7 and 8, how do you know what the real size is? Also it said they were 3" heels. They looked like 4 or 5 ". I wanted to make sure the shoes would fit. I was running out of time in the cart so I had to buy them and take a chance. I had e-mailed them and did not get an answer. I have bought a lot of shoes from them and expect better service. They need to put the chat back on. I probably will think before I go back on the sight again."
"I love to shop resale, never know what you will find. This was like a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Thanks guys"
"I ordered a few pair of dress pants for work, because I was thrilled to find my size in Petites. One listing clearly showed a pair of dark gray slacks and said the brand was Ann Taylor Loft. Another pair's listing clearly showed straight leg slacks described as black, New York & Company, brand new, tags still on. I ordered both. What I got: one pair of dark denim blue colored Ann Taylor Loft straight-leg slacks, brand new with the tags still on, and one pair of well used New York & Company (very) wide-leg slacks. At least they were black. Only completely happy with the much cheaper Liz Claiborne black ones I added to my cart as an afterthought because they were less than half the price of the other two."
"I was very satisfied with the clothing I . received everything looked brand new. The things I was not satisfied with is it takes almost 2 weeks before you receive anything. And also your return policy of having to print out the label for some reason I just can't figure it out why can't you just make it easy like all the other places I've ordered from.I can't figure it out so I'm just keeping the things that I wanted to send back.I hope you will consider changing this."
"Liked it very much. Looking forward to shopping again. Items bought fit great clothes well presevered"
"I happened upon Thredup while browsing Facebook. I was interested in and always interested in good sales and bargains. I order a few items of clothing and was so impressed with the items. Everything fit well and I even recommended the site to a few of my friends."
"Enjoy every minute i get to shop on ThredUp.... Easy to use and can sit at home and shop"
