"I ordered 2 Blackberry 8100 and an 8120. All three phones showed as in stock. I purchased using paypal and my payment was made immediately. After 2 days I still did not receive any aknowledgement from Thrifty that my order was being processed. I called and spoke to Louis who said the computers were wrong and they were not in stock but they would be in the next business day. To make a long story short I called 4 times (min. 15 minute wait) and sent an e-mail which is stioll unanswered. All I got were excuses and no action. I cancelled my order and now await a refund....
This company is NOT an up front company and their business practices are shady. I see from previous reviews that they have a pattern of holding money and not delivering.

"After ordering from Thriftycomputer.com, they proceed to charge my credit card. Then, a week later I received an email cancelling the order without explanation. I decided to call them. During my call they alleged that they were having problems with credit cards. How could that be possible if my card had been charged already? They said that I could go to their web page an order it again. The surprising part it's that they increased the price of the item I was buying. These folks are doing false price advertising. "I ordered a Logitech Marble Mouse Optical Trackball on 11-30-09. I received an email with a USPS tracking number stating the order was completed on 12-2. I used my MasterCard debit card to pay, and the money was taken out of my account on 12-2.
Today, 12-9-09, I received an email stating that the ordered had been canceled, and they were refunding my money. I called customer service, and they said that they were "having problems with their credit card processing, and were only accepting paypal on the website".
Why on earth would it take a full week for them to figure out they were having problems with credit cards? Very upset, as this was supposed to be a christmas present, and I personally don't have a lot of options now, as I have to wait for the refund before I can even LOOK at getting something else for my nephew.
UPDATE 12-9: I just received an email from ThriftyComputer stating "Hi,
We can process your order if you pay via paypal, we are truly sorry"

Update 12-16-09: Still have not received my refund. Upon calling, I'm told I can wait a little longer, or call my bank and have them file a charge back. Just got off the phone with my bank... They can't file a charge back because it is an authorized purchase, which makes it a merchant dispute, and they can't get involved with that."

"I ordered a Logitech diNovo Mini (refurbished) on November 18th, 2009. The website stated that there were 5 in stock.
However, by November 26th, 2009, the item had not been shipped yet. I contacted the seller on November 28th to determine what was going on and they informed me that the order was canceled on November 27th, 2009 due to a lack of inventory.
The problem is that I had paid via PayPal on November 18th, 2009 and as of today, November 29th, 2009, they have still not refunded my money.
I am in the process of submitting a claim via PayPal, but obviously any company that lets this kind of thing happen is NOT one to be trusted.
I can not stress enough how much this company should not be trusted. If I pay for a product for which the website claims there are 5 in stock, I should get that product. End of story. And if they cancel my order, they should IMMEDIATELY refund my money.
