"Seem like a good place to buy. Non-cancelled items arrived in a timely manner and were very well packaged.
However someone there cancelled my order for a Linksys WRV54G Wireless G Broadband Router. I was checking the tracking on that order and by accident saw the router was cancelled which was why I was ordering from them in the first place. Didn't need the fans or cold cathode in a rush. So I phone them and ask why it was cancelled. Guy had no answer. I tell them on the website it says "ships in 7-14 days" selling that Linksys router. He says, "Yes, I can see that. I'll re-order it then for you. That's the best I can do." So I agree and try again. Today I go to check tracking on that order and the freakin thing is cancelled again!! I get no email of this cancellation or anything. Tomorrow I'm going to raise hell on the phone. I needed that damn router yesterday. I've got plans to order a mainboard/cpu combo as well but holding off until this router issue is sorted otherwise I'll take my business elsewhere. My uncle just bought a nice AMD widescreen notebook computer there last month on my recommendation.
Edit: tried calling them most of the day today. Their computers are down so couldn't find anything out.
-------------------------------------------------
They straightened everything out finally. The problem was Linksys didn't want to "direct ship" to Canada so in the end they did get me a brand new Linksys router (the one I wanted) for the same price and then took it off their website, which is too bad, VERY nice unit.
I also ended up ordering a mainboard, a couple red LED case fans and a red cold cathode (which looks pink in colour...doh) and have no complaints.
With the rebate deals just make sure you do it right away... I waited and was one day too late to send a rebate for a cheap 8-port 10/100 gigafast switch... oh well... it was cheap.
So I have to amend my original rating.
Will buy from them again."
"I purchased a Netgear - PS111W - 11 Mbps Wireless Print Server with FREE Wireless 11 Mbps PC Card. While the unit was in transit, I printed out the .pdf form for the free PCMCIA card. The fine print said, "Offer only valid in the U.S". I emailed tigerdirect.ca questioning why the terms of the free PCMCIA card was not indicated on the website. I got no response, but the next day, the webpage was updated to say, "Offer valid in the U.S. only." I called customer service in Canada, and all the rep could do is give me free shipping on anything else I buy, or allow me to return the print server at their expense. Tiger Direct Canada is advertising with false offers that are not valid in Canada. The service rep said he would mention my complaint to the manager, as the Canadian website is a mirror of the U.S. website, only with prices listed in Canadian funds."
"The product price is very competitive.I have brought several products from TigerDirect in last couple months and seems that the price and quality of them can not be surpassed.
That is a reflection of a well-managed company by Mr. Carl Fuerntino, the President. Who welcomes you with every purchase on line and otherwise.
Kudos to Mr. Fuerintino! Job very well done, sire !"
"I ordered a Refurbished 4 port Router from TigerDirect.ca and when it arrived it was not working. On their site they assure that every refurb Product is fully tested before being put back on the shelf. I phoned tech support from the Routers manufactuer(Speedstream) and they confirmed that the router was indeed broken and needed to be RMA'd. I also wrote to TigerDirect to request a copy of the bill so that I could send the router to the manufactuer and they did not reply. I then phoned and left a detailed message and 4 weeks later bill arrived....much to late for a RMA. luckilly SPEEDSTREAM was okay w/ the details I sent that did not include the origional invoice."
