"Bought around 1-2 G in stuff from them which involved rebates.
70% of the rebates never came (All the small ones di d) and it sppears onrebate.com is affilated with tigerdirect.ca (being tiger basicly)
Only real good prices are with rebates, and they never come
I recomend NCIX.COM instead, tigerdirect.ca is a bunch of scammers and they also shipped me a broken card."
"Ordered some parts from TigerDirect and after I recieved the email invoice I noticed they overcharged me $100 for spyware software i never ordered. When i tried to cancel the order i had to talk to about 5 different people and waste about an hour on hold before they would cancel it.
TigerDirect rebates are a scam too. I sent in two different rebates both twice and not one of the four rebates was received. This should be illegal, complete waste of my time and money.
"
"I recieved my soundcard quickly and without problems, which is saying something when you live in northern ontario. I'm used to waiting 4 - 5 EXTRA days for stuff. This order arrived in 4 business days. The only problem I had was that it was impossible to find tracking numbers. They sent an email of confirmation of shipment and said "Your UPS tracking number is:" followed by a blank line. Same scenario on the tracking page of their website. So, i just lived without a tracking number and the order showed up anyways! I would buy from tigerdirect.ca again provided the price is right."
"I ordered an INOi/Lasonic HV-670 DVD player with MPEG-4 (DixX/Xvid) capability from Tigerdirect.ca
At the time of purchase, their website pictured, and mentioned the mounting tray for an external Hard Drive, and gave every indiation that the unit came with said accessory. This tray is an accessory that this unit ships with by default when ordered every other online seller I can find. I had no reason to believe otherwise.
I placed my order and everything seemed fine.
The order was placed on a Sunday.
Tuesday night I recieved a message from a Third Party rep.(The Drop Shipper), Stating that the unit did not come with that Hard Drive tray, that it was an error on the part of Tigerdirect.ca, and inquiring whether or not I wanted to proceed with my order. I told them that I would have to speak to Tigerdirect, and let them know.
I proceeded to call Tigerdirect.ca on Wednesday, and spoke with a rep named Ravi. He informed me that they had an explicit policy that stated that they weren't liable for errors on their website, but that he would contact the shipper, get to the bottom of the matter, and call me back the next day (Thursday). Thursday passed, with no word from Ravi. On Friday, around 2 pm, there was still no word, so I called back and spoke to Ravi once again. He used the excuse that he hadn't yet heard back from the shipper, (Ignoring that he had promised to call me on Thursday, no matter what), and proceeded to promised to call me Friday afternoon with an update, no matter what. He never called.
On Saturday, I called and asked for Ravi's supervisor. I was put through to the voicemail of Mario Lim. I asked Mr. Lim to call me back asap.
Sunday, nothing.
Monday, nothing.
Monday afternoon, I called Tigerdirect once again, and asked for Mario Lim. I was told he was in a meeting, then that he was at lunch, and asked whether I would like him voice mail. I left another request to be called back. I got no response.
Tuesday c ame and I was fed up! I called again, asked for Mario, was told he was in a meeting. I asked for Mario's Boss, was told to contact a Mr. Andrew Clarke (Memory is a little fuzzy on this name). I left a very polite, but irate message for both, stating that I expected to be contacted by the end of the business day.
Around 2pm, Mario LIm FINALLY called me back, re-iterated their policy of indemnity for errors, and said he'd find out for me what was going on. Around 5pm he called me back, stating that there was nothing they could do to get me what I had ordered with the accessories I had expected to recieve.
I cancelled my order.
About 5 minutes later Andrew Clarke called me back. I explained my situation. He appologized, but didn't fix things.
What irks me the most is not that I didn't get what I ordered, but that they outright lied to me, stating that they would return my calls, but never did.
Regardless of their policy of indemnity for errors, I feel like this was a classic case of bait-and-switch. If the shipper hadn't have contacted me, I would have recieved my product, the wrong product, without a peep from Tigerdirect.
Shortly after my order was placed, they clearly noted on their site that the unit didn't include the accessory in question... But that didn't help me at all.
I will NEVER buy from these rip-off artists again."
"I was a bit scared to order from this company because of the bad reviews but I did anyway because it was the only place I could find the Hyundai L90D+ monitor in stock. The monitor shipped the day after I ordered it (after hours) and arrived only 2 days after that absolutly perfect. I have no complaints at all. "
"Previous purchases with them were OK, except some of the rebates were really hard to get through.
This time I ordered a Fujifilm S5100. It was shown as a Canadian model with xxx-CA part number when I ordered from this web site. But they shipped the camera from US, when I received it, it is a US model with USA only warranty, which I confirmed with Fuji Canada that they won't honor it in Canada. Called them the 2nd day, waited 30 miniutes and spoke with a representative. He then said he would speak with his manager and call me "right back". 2 days passed, no call. I called again and waited again and spoke with another representative. He tried to convince me that when the camera indeed need service, call hime again and he would take care of it. I couldn't accept this and he transferred to his manager. The call was not answered and I let a message. No call back.
I also wrote 2 e-mails to the "support", but the reply was to "call within next 24 hours". I don't know what to do now.
I will never buy from them again. Hope others will be careful when purchasing any big item from them. "
"Very dissatisfied. Ordered a plasma tv from tigerdirect.ca here in Canada almost two weeks ago. Still haven't received it. Turns out it was put on the wrong truck and sent to the Northwest Territories (FYI: the NW Territories are a long way from Toronto). Fine, mistakes happen but I learned of the problem early by tracking No. and promptly informed tigerdirect. Nothing was done. Worse, I was told things were moving forward when in fact the unit was just sitting in a warehouse in Alberta where it probably still sits. Why they couldn't just ship another one to the correct destination mystifies me (and them, apparently). Cannot recommend this retailer.
update: tigerdirect finally air-freighted the unit to me and it arrived. In the meantime, the price dropped (that's how long it took to deliver) so tigerdirect has promised to credit me the difference."
" I bought a buy a mp3 player (337,99$) and 1 year more warranty (37,99$) Sales tax are 27,30$ and the UPS shipment is 14,04$ The total is 417,32$ on my Amex Card
The MP3 doesn't work : I Return it with Fedex (20$) .
They Sent me a new one (they took 485,04$ on my Amex !!! They can not explain the details of this amount !!!! .
They return me the first one because I didn't send it in the original UPS box.
A mess to try to recover some money.....
DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY"
"The Worst customer service imaginable. Whole $400 came defective/ damaged. Maxtor DiamondMax 9/ 80G/ 7200rpm/ 8Mb Cache comes defective, makes noise like jet engine, vibrates lots. Aero Cool HT 101 heatsink comes damaged, not in original packaging, different fan included than advertised, louder and not UV. Case gets lost, turns up a month and some days after I orfer. Comes banged up, dented. Plexiglass is all scratched up. Whole case is warped. PSU seal comes broken. This is just a quick sumary.
They did not allow me to return any items. Customer support was horrific. It takes a few days to get a hold of anyone. I waited about 2 hours just to get to someone. On the phone, after I literally say that my case looks like it was dropped from a high building, I am asked "well, does it still work? Why would you want to exchange it?" I sent mulitple emails explaining in detail all that was wrong with my order and just got "sorry for the inconvience. If you have any further inquiries, please reply ot this email." I actually had swear before they gave me a non- automated email, telling me to phone them. Then I did, and they wouldn't return it. And I rarely swear. In the end, I sent my HD directly to Maxtor, and ended up stuck with the rest of my defective order.
Avoid this retailer like the plague! Customer service is non exsistance. They just don't care about quality of their products. It takes angry words to get a non automated email, that they actually read. It takes hours on the phone just to get someone who doesn't give a darn that you were just screwed. I would recomend them only to my worst enemy.
For a much better Canadain retailer, check out www.ncix.com. They have excelent customer service and great selection. "
"I purchased a motherboard & CPU package from them,ASUS A8V & AMD64 3400 CPU as It seemed an incredible deal for a 939 board and processor.
well it seems it was too good to be true.
I received it and installed it bur got "CPU FAILED "message. Tried to call Tigerdirect but after 40mins on hold gave up called ASUS.I was told that the board needs a bios update to recognise that CPU,they are aware of problem and so are Tigerdirect, apparently in US ASUS will send a new bios chip for $35 ,but not to Canada(???).The other option is to put in starndard CPU eg 3000,3500 that it will recognise update bios to 1009 then switch back to 3400.
I eventually got through to Tigerdirect and was told they"would look into it" and call me back.NO callback ,called again and was given a return authorisation ,sent it back Saturday 29th ,now to see how long they take to refund.
9th Feb still waiting for refund, rang yesterday was told 5-7 more business days

"I have mixed feelings about this company. In November of 2003 I ordered an eMachines laptop at an incredible price. TD called me at work within an hour of placing the order to confirm and I received the product (shipped to me at work) in about a week's time. I'm incredibly happy with my laptop.
In February of 2004 I ordered a 200GB Seagate HD. TD did not confirm this time but I had not changed my shipping address. An update email was sent but no tracking number was included. I received the product within a week as expected though. Once again, I was happy.
In December of 2004 I ordered a 200GB Western Digital HD. Again, no confirmation, no tracking number but the product arrived within a week and I'm happy with that drive as well.
January 5, 2005
I placed an order for 2 Pelican cases and a P4 3.06GHz CPU. One of the cases being a gift for a friend.
January 6, 2005
I received an email indicating that all 3 items had shipped but no tracking numbers were included.
January 11, 2005
I received a package marked box 1 of 1. It contained 1 pelican case and the CPU. The CPU die appeared damaged and one pin was bent but I managed to install it and it works properly. I attempted to phone TD's customer service about the missing item but was unable to connect or would wait on hold until I gave up. I filled out the email service request form on the webpage asking if the missing item had shipped.
January 12, 2005
More attempts to phone customer service went unanswered.
January 13, 2005
I received this email:
Thanks for your email. We apologize for the inconvenience. You will
need to contact us at ***-***-**** that we can resolve this issue.
...
Believing that it must be the Christmas rush I continued to try to get through to customer service without success.
January 17, 2005
I decided, while at work, to place one more call to customer service and put the call on speaker phone and just wait until I got through. After about 1 hour and 10 minutes on hold my call was disconnected.
Having exhausted my patience for on hold messages I replied to the (automated?) email message I had received indicating that I had been unable to get through and asked if they could contact me. I politely stated how I could be reached but that if I could not get the matter resolved in the near future I was left only with the option of reporting the charge to my credit card company as fraudulent.
January 18, 2005
I received this email:
Thanks for your email. We apologize for the inconvenience. It appears that your order may have been shortshipped. We will be investigating this issue for you. Please follow up with us within 24-48 business hours. Thanks again for your email. We at TigerDirect.com appreciate your business.

January 20, 2005
I received an email from an actual person with contact information:
Hi,
I have re-shipped your missing item from your original order. So you
will
receive it soon.
January 25, 2005
I finally received my missing product. Yay!! Did I mention this item was the gift?
January 28, 2005
Upon checking my credit card balance I noticed that on the 21st I had been billed for the item plus shipping. On the 24th, I was credited for the price of the case. I have sent an email to the customer service "specialist" who informed me the missing item had been shipped to inquire why I was paying extra shipping charges when the mistake was no fault of mine.
February 2, 2005
I still have not heard from anyone about the extra shipping charges. I emailed my "real person" contact again today. I quoted a section of their shipping policy from the webpage that indicates that if partial shipments must be sent at a later date shipping is charged only ONCE when the order is placed (Their caps, not mine.) I asked if I had perhaps misread this statement and if the charges were valid would only like an explanation of why. I followed up by saying that I was patient but persistent and only had a limited amount of time before I was required to take the matter up with my credit card company. The threat of fraud seemed to get a quick response last time, perhaps it will work again.
February 3, 2005
The email that I sent yesterday was forwarded back to me with nothing added. We all have bad days, I'll let that slide for one day before pursuing the matter again.
February 9, 2005
My credit card was credited for the shipping charge.
I don't believe I will be ordering from TD again.
My opinion, Great products and prices. Poor shipping procedures and customer service."
"Website said delivery time "1 - 1 days"; after I placed order, the confirmation said delivery wouldn't be for 7 - 10 days. I called to cancel order - 17 hours after I placed it - and was told the shipment might be made before the cancellation was processed. No explanation as to why it might take 7 days to cancel an order."
"Overall, the prices are nice if you look around and shipping prices are okay. No hassle with duties. The only problem I got is the email reponses and I never receive my invoice by email... I have to check on the website to see it. When they ship my item, they didn't give me a tracking number (checking order status didn't work for me on their website).
If I need another item, I might deal with them if the price is good..."
"The best store i have never seen. The web site is complete, clear and beautifull.Crazy fast shipping (3day by UPS).I have bought almost 5000$ of stock and i've never had 1 problem. It's easy to talk with somebody on the phone and the are very helpfull.I recommend this store to any one.The best on the net with amazing deal.Tigerdirect.ca rock it."
"I will NEVER order from tigerdirect again. I placed an order on December 28, and was told my order would go out the next day and I would have it my Tuesday. I received it on Friday 4 days later. Its not so much the lateness that got me mad it was the way the order came. Tigerdirect has a warehouse in the states, and I was unlucky where my order came from the States to Canada. I got my UPS tracking #, and tracked it via the UPS website. Until January 3rd, all it said was Billing information received, I called UPS and they never had the package... Next track the package was in Windsor, then Concord, then finally got scans in Winnipeg where it now said it was with a broker clearing customs... well since I had another package to pick up, I looked into what was going on more... tigerdirect does NOT send individual packages, instead they are lumped into a bulk order... my package was in a bulk order with problems in it, so guess what, I have to wait now until the package error is tracked down... Funny thing is if you want express delivery they charge something totally insane.. like $75 from Toronto to Winnipeg where actually its really only $25 for 2 day delivery to Winnipeg. ANyways tiger, NEVER again..."
