"I placed an order for a thermostat and o-ring back in December 2020. The order initially shipped rather quickly, but soon after that I was issued a partial refund with no explanation. My order was then returned to sender by Canada Post as it had an incorrect address written on it. I tried calling TPD three times, left messages, and received no reply (this could be due to Covid?). I noticed there was an email address, so I emailed asking about the return to sender issue and the refund. I was only told that they would investigate what had happened to cause Canada Post not to deliver. After a few more days, they re-shipped my package. When it arrived, it very clearly only had the thermostat, and was missing the o-ring. Looking at the packing slip, someone had written that my car didn't require the o-ring, so they didn't include it with my order (without telling me first).
My car does in fact need that o-ring, so luckily I was able to reuse the old thermostat housing o-ring, so I didn't need to reorder, but I wish they had asked me before removing parts from my order. All in all, the genuine Toyota thermostat is working great now (old parts store junk failed after 8 months), and it was half the price the dealer quoted me. So even with the $20 shipping cost, I saved about $10."
