"I ordered a camera and accessories from this place on January 5, 2009. I waited for over a month without hearing anything from the company.
I called and left a message this morning, and sent an email instructing them to either ship the order today or cancel the order.
I actually did receive a call back from a representative informing me that the warehouse they were doing business with is out of business. The representative informed me that they had issued over $50,000 worth of refunds in one day, so their bank had frozen the account. She told me to call my credit card company to dispute the charge, which I did.
I did appreciate the customer rep calling me back today. She was friendly. But I suspect that if I hadn't called them to check on my status, over one month later, they never would have called.
If this company does manage to stay in business, I would never order from them again."
"Like many others, this was my worst online retail experience to date.
My experience was very similar to all the other "very dissatisfied" customers who have left feedback. I order an almost $900 camera in early December, they charged my card immediately, and kept promising me that the camera was in stock and would ship soon. One representative even said he was "100% certain" that it would be shipped the next day. By the end of January, my camera had not arrived, yet the website and customer service representatives constantly said the camera was "in stock". After numerous calls to customer service, they unilaterally decided to cancel my order. Two weeks later, they hadn't reversed the charge on my credit card, and they told me to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge. They also promised to send me a replacement battery for my camera for all my trouble, but I'm not holding my breath, obviously.
Every time you call customer service, you will get the message that they are experiencing "exceptional call volume" and you will wait over 20 minutes. Or, if you are lucky enough to get someone's name & extension, you can leave a message and they will never call you back.
There is simply no excuse for their poor handling of my order--and countless others. They are unscrupulous and flatly lied to me multiple times. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS MERCHANT. "
"I ordered an upper end Canon Zoom Lens. It took almost a week for the representative to call to confirm the order. He tried to sell me "extra features" that are included by Canon with the lens. It was't too hard a sell and he quickly accepted a "No" answer to that. Then he informed me that the price would be an additional $85 for "extra handling and insurance". I cancelled the order and found it for about the same price (without the extra handling and insurance) at Buy.com."

"I purchased a Canon digital camera from the US1 Camera (www.us1photo.com) website using my credit card on Jan. 17, 2009 and took a screen shot to document the transaction. With the camera, I was also expecting their "weekend special" (a free case, tripod, card reader and maintenance kit). The following day (Jan. 18), I received an unsolicited call from a number I did not recognize that rolled to my voice mail which I later retrieved. I checked my email account and found a request from "Bobby" sent hours earlier requesting that I call the number listed in the salutation. It was the same number from the unsolicited call. When we did speak, "Bobby" verified my name, mailing address, grilled me on the Canon I selected and then has the audacity to use the call as an opportunity to up-the-sale by clarifying that the camera I purchased did not come with a memory card. If I were to purchase a 2G, he would send me a 4G for the cost of the 2G (approx. $45.00). I verbally authorized the additional charge. The left message, the email, the series of questions that were more like a grilling, the up-sale... I had NEVER experienced an Internet credit card transaction like this before. Suspicious and increasingly unnerved, I called him back within the week to express my mistrust and left a message for "Bob" requesting a return call to my cell number which I provided. He did not return my call. The camera was to arrive in 2 to 10 business days, depending on the delivery method I choose. It has been way more than 10 business days.
I called my card company to flag the transaction, cancel the card and request a replacement. They are conducting an investigation into the matter as are the Federal Trade Commission and the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.
I encourage everyone who has been on the receiving end of this scamming "company" to take a few minutes and file, online, complaints with the FTC and NJ-DCA."
"Ordered the item. After waiting a week I was told that the item is not available due to current economic conditions. When I looked at their site, they were still selling the item with an increased price. Assuming they didn't want to sell the item because the dollar value changed. Very cheap people. Also don't waste your time to call the customer service. They don't answer. An idiot answers when you call the sales but when he realizes that the phone was not for a sale, he immidiately transfers the phone to the customer service which is a dead end!!! Don't expect any good deal delivered from these scams!!! Also watch out the good reviews here. They might be left by them. Very common practice."

Ordered a Canon ef 100-400mm lens. Same story as everyone else on here, got e-mail saying I needed to call in because of the "high value of my order". Called in, confirmed my order, was offered some filters...etc and declined. Was told my card wouldn't be charged until my order shipped and was charged $1324.00 later that day. Called this past Wednesday, Feb 3 to check on the status of my order. Was told by Sean "Oh, you didn't get an e-mail saying your order was cancelled?". Uhh, no Sean, I didn't!
He said I should have my card refunded by today, Feb. 5. I called in today because of course, my card hasn't been refunded. Guy today told me that I should have it refunded by Monday but if not, I should just call my credit card company and have them do it.
Already one step ahead of you my man, called Wells Fargo and disputed the charge just now.
I would suggest buying from Amazon or someone you know will give you quick, reliable service.
Not too sure why I fell for this low price garbage peddler but fool me once...You know, Won't get fooled again, right?"
"Purchased a flash for a camera on their website. Website states "free shipping" and continues this claim all the way through the confirmation email. The next day I was contacted by a salesman offering an upsell to rechargeable batteries, etc. He also informs me that they will be charging my card an additional $20 to cover handling and insurance. Insurance on this purchase would have been two or three dollars and it's a freakin' flash. How heavy can it be that I need to pay you $18 to "handle" it????
I canceled the order on principle alone.
This was a bad experience. I would not buy from them again due to their deceitfulness. "
"Incredibly dishonest and deceiving company representative called to "verify the order" after I placed it on the web (2 days later). Upon checking the information, I was bluntly told that a Nikon lens (24-70mm /f2.8) would NOT work with a full-frame sensor unless I pay additional $115 !!!! Subsequent verification with Nikon USA confirmed what I already knew - they were lying to me (they also tried to sell me expensive warranties and accessories before making the outrageous claim about "two versions of the lens". My prompt decision was to cancel the order and never deal with those dishonest people again.
Stay away from US1PHOTO! They try to lure you with attractive prices, then to sell you overpriced accessories, nonexistent functional upgrades, or expensive "rapid" shipments as opposed to "free" shipment they advertise on their internet site. Scam!"
"I just ordered a Canon 5d Mark ii from them. I did get the call about the battery and charger unit, which was a little weird, but overall my experience was great. I did pay a little extra with the "new battery and charger option" but it was still less than many other stores and they were helpful when I contacted them. "
"This experience has been horrible due to one person KEVIN @ extension 301. He has my money and the invoice is blank. I do not beliee he ever intended to get the camera in the mail. He charged my account on 15 Jan but failed to advise me of that charge when we talked about the order on the 19th. This company does not keep customers informed, it is VERY difficult to talk with anyone, and at least this one person, Kevin, cannot speak truthfully about this order, and he refused to call back for four days."

I was tempted with the great price on a Canon Rebel XS and called to confirm that the camera was in stock. The salesman said yes and then I asked if the FREEKIT promotion was available with an over the phone order and was told that I would have to place it online. Apeased, I placed the online order on Wednesday. Quickly received a confirmation number in my email. 1 week goes by and I have not received an email that states the order has been shipped. I call (wednesday)and was put on hold for 21 mins and the customer service tells me that he will have to look up my order and call me back in less than a minute. I tell him I have waited over 20 mins and 2 more won't make a difference. He hangs up and 1 hour later I call back and was put on hold for another 22 mins.
After being passed around to 2 other people the SALESMAN tells me the order is ready to be processed! I paid extra for quicker delivery and now he tells me it is ready for PROCESS! He states that they don't have the free kit to send me and asks me if I need the longer battery, and quickly tell him I only want what I ordered. He says the order will put the order in and it will arrive in a few WEEKS because it is coming from over seas!
I told him he is pulling a BAIT and SWITCH on me that I was told when I ordered that 1. the camera was in stock 2. it was the USA model 3. the free kit was not available.
His defense was that HE was not the original guy that I placed the order with. Forget the fact that the website STILL is showing the product in STOCK and advertising the FREEKIT that they don't have to give out. I hung up on him. I called back to cancel my order and was told it was already canceled. When calling on anything, press 1 to talk to the salesman otherwise you will wait on hold for a very long time.
I learned my lesson and paid a couple extra bucks and went with a highly rated vendor."

"I tried to order a Canon EOS 5d Mkii. They price seemed good w/o being too good to be true. I got a call the next day telling me that the Camera only came with a "studio battery" which would only last 10-15 minutes. I knew that no such thing existed, so i asked how much the standard battery would cost. i was quoted about $250. i know the Canon USA website says the MSRP is $100. I promptly canceled the Order because i don't want to deal with that kind of business. They were nice enough to cancel the order quickly."
