"Very interesting review by 'rdn001' dated 1/22/09. Ordered the same camera (Canon 50D) on January 2, that is 16 days before 'rdn001' placed his order. At that time the price for the camera was $955. My credit card was almost immediately charged the full amount. Three weeks later I am still waiting for the camera (the website lists it as "in stock"). No communication from the store whatsoever despite my numerous emails acquiring about the status of the order. When tried calling they hang up on me. Will have my credit card try to resolve the issue. Do not have to add that I am extremely dissatisfied.

"I ordered 1 x EOS 40D Digital Camera w/28-135mm IS Lens. I have not received any items yet. When I called their customer service rep. (Dominic) tells me that they do not have the item in stock and they are waiting for canon to send them. Well, they show "in stock" in their website, and when I called their sales department the salesman tells me that they have it in stock. I called by Dominic and he says that the salesman should had called the warehouse and that the salesman is wrong. The end result, NOTHING YET!! They should not lie to their new customers like that!!"
"Buyer BEWARE!!! Ordered a Sony HDR-SR11 on Dec. 17,2008. Received a call a day later asking if I wanted the extra battery and charger that are not included. This brought my price up $100. Sounded reasonable enough. Did not receive camera after 3 weeks. Called on Jan. 8, 2009,was told there had been a problem in the warehouse and the camera was shipped out the day before, I should receive in 5 - 7 days. Called again 2 weeks later, Jan. 22,2008 and was told there was a problem with shipping and now the camera was not instock and I could cancel my order. I find it very suspicious that a company would send out a $700+ item without a tracking number. Customer service said tracking numbers cost extra. And there was no way for them to track my order. ??? Obsurd! Sounds more like the typical bait and switch you receive from many online companies. Very disappointing since this company had received fairly decent ratings. "
"After more than 8 years with EOS D30(not 30D), I decided to buy EOS 50D.
Here is my experience with US1photo.com.
On 1/18/09(Sun) around 11:00PM, I made order EOS 50D $899.99 with 3 day air shipping $37.70 through the website. It is the cheapest one I found around internet. My status showed "new order" at this time.
Soon after, I found there is a same model but $1019.00 listed as well as $899.99 one on US1Photo website.
Then, I found numbers of negative reviews for US1photo in several review sites including here. I worried a lot.
On 1/19/09 (Mon), I called Toll Free number around 11:00AM asking why there are two prices. If something wrong, I decided that I was going to cancel that order.
For phone call to them, I had no problem reaching live person, Bob, within 1 min. He clearly explained the difference between two. $1019 is US retailed package and $899.99 is not. I told him I want to cancel the order for $899.99 one.
He offered me $999.99 for retailed package and 3 day air shipping $37.70. Both are cheaper than on the web site prices, $1019.00 and $48.80.
He said item is in stock and I will get this Friday 1/23. I accepted his offer. EOS 50D with free kit, camera case, tripod, card reader and mentenance kit. Total is $1037.69 including 3 day air shipping.
On web site, my status changed from "new order" to "out to be shipped" soon after the phone conversation, but I did not receive any E-mail confirmation.
On 1/20/09 (Tue), around 6:00 PM, I received shipping notification with tracking number of UPS by E-mail. Shipping is free-upgraded to 2 day air which should cost $68.63. Shipping is $37.70 thus I got another $30 discount. My status changed to "shipped".
On 1/22/09 (Thu), at 10:34AM, Camera and other stuff were delivered which is one day earlier than that US1photo, Bob promised. They are well-packed and Camera and other stuff are all new in retailed box. I am totally satisfied with this.
From my experience, everything went well with US1Photo, such as fast communication, good price, fast shipping with free-upgrade, free stuff etc. I will recommend US1photo to everyone.
Note: I can not believe so many negative reviews compared with my experience. Of course I believe they are all true stories. My guess is that US1photo become popular too quickly because of the competitive price etc. So they might got too many orders in the holiday season. They could not handle all of them promptly in recent few month. And now everything might be normal again.
Update: I am sorry for everyone who have bad experiences with US1photo. Since there are numerous regative reviews after my good experience, I can not recommend US1photo until all of the ongoing problems have been solved.
To US1photo: Please take care of these negative reviews and solve the problems. I am very satisfied with you and as a satisfied customer, I hope you become one of the excellent online store as before."
"Scammers. If you take the bait of advertised "low" price and place an order, it is not going to be processed or shipped. Instead you will receive an email advising you to call them "to verify your high value order". Once on the phone, the rep will advise you that the camera comes "only with a 20 min battery" or some other load of hooey. The purpose of this exercise is to eventually make you pay equivalent or higher price that you might find at an established, respectful retailer. I seriously doubt that they even stock the merchandise they advertise for sale - and that might be the reason why so many other folks report shipping delays. Needless to say, I immediately cancelled my order. Stay clear."
"Ordered a Nikon D90 with two-day shipping. Three days later I got an email saying that I needed to call to confirm my order because of concern over fraud involving "high-value purchases." The person listed in the email did not answer his phone all day and I ended up on hold for a half-hour to talk to someone else. They began by attempting to up-sell the product I'd already purchased, then asked me if I minded waiting about two weeks because the product was out-of-stock, despite their website still saying it's in stock.
Obviously I purchased two-day shipping because I was in a hurry to get this. Instead, I waited three days for the courtesy of spending a half-hour on hold to confirm my purchase of an item that was not in stock.
At least they let me promptly cancel my order. "
"Jan 21: I'd ordered a Nikon D90 kit and since I got my previous D80 from US1Camera, I wasn't expecting any problem. As far as today (Jan 21st) I still didn't receive the camera and I got already 11 business days after the order was placed.
Of course I got the free delivery option to save some money, but the 7-9 business days are coming out as something expensive at the end.
I spent 52 minutes waiting for a response from the customer service on Jan 15th. During 4 minutes of conversation I got some excuse that the order takes 2 to 3 days to be prepared, but my order was always with "Out to be shipped" status just after the first business day.
Today I sent a second message to them asking for a status for delivery. If I don't get it until Friday, I will ask for a refund since my credit card was already charged at the right moment I've place the order.
Feb 2: On Jan 23, I got a message back from the store. Since they couldn't deliver my order, it was cancelled and a "full refund would be issued". Today, Feb 2nd, I still didn't get the refund, had sent 2 emails more and no reply at all."
"I was a little leery as to why the price of the Canon 40D camera I bought was so low. I couldn't get any good explanation, even after I called their poor customer service number. I never did receive the product since after ordering it and waiting two weeks they still hadn't shipped it. I canceled the order and ordered from B&H. Nearly 30 days after canceling I still have not received a refund. This is a very bad company in all aspects of the purchase and delivery process. Lots of lies about charges and shipping. My card was charged weeks before the product shipped. Then the online price dropped and they would not refund the difference, even though they hadn't shipped it. By the time it had shipped it was too late to use it, so I went through a huge process of cancelling and still haven’t been refunded. You wait at least a half hour for any customer service."

One week later I received an identical "system generated" email. Another voicemail with no response. Altogether three voicemails with no response.
I finally spoke to a sales agent who told me my purchase was back-ordered. I canceled the order and requested an email confirmation. So far, no confirmation received."

Then I called the customer service to change the order and I was very pleasantly surprised at how quickly they answered my call and made the change swiftly without additional cost. They recommended another bundle promotion which is exactly the kind I like. I got free filter lens with the Canon lens I ordered. It was a very good deal. The order was shipped within 2 days and i received the product as ordered. I've been using the lens and the filters for 6 months now and everything works great! "ordered a canon lens, 7-9 bussines days delivery. Its been 14 days and the item still have not shipped. contacted customer support (only 1 person working there, every one else working on sales) 7 days after purchasing and he told me it was being held because I had chosen the free shipping (7-9 buss days) but that I will receive it by the 13th. It looks I am not going to get it before the 20th.
TriState had it for $10 more but me for being so cheap choose US1. I already ordered with TriState before with no problems.

" For all of you that had problems with us1 camera recently I just wanted everyone to know that I was among your ranks. I ordered my camera on November 18 and did not receive it until January 8. The company had supplier problems and got about 10% of their order. I was told about the supplier problems early on , offered a refund , and continued to wait until the camera's came in because of the price. I wish the company had made this information on their website . It would have made a lot of unsatisfied customers have the information to make informed decisions about their purchases.The company also needs to expand their customer service so people would not need to wait so long on the phone to reach help. This it a tip to the company for the future.
My camera finally did come , factory packed , with a u.s.a . warranty just as promised. I got the camera for the lowest price i have ever seen plus they threw in some extras for being so patient.
I just wanted to than Shawn for being such a stand up guy and following through on his promises . I will do my part to make sure that good customer service is recognized and us1 camera is praised for coming through even when their suppliers failed to deliver. The company never made excuses , they had a supplier problem between thanksgiving and Christmas , they told me about it and asked for patience , then delivered when the camera's became available. Thanks again and i will look forward to doing business with them again."

"Hi, I have made a purchase on 8th January'09 Canon SD750.This store had the lowest price. The shipping was for 7 to 9 days, but I didnt receive any e-mail regarding my order. But my debit card was charged immediately. When I call the phone number specified in their website, they ask me to stay on line as their queue is very over crowded with call... and the wait time is 20 mins.. though u wait for 20 mins the wait time does not change,.... Only later I have started reading the reviews... and I am very disappointed. I dont know what to do now. Can someone please suggest what can be done !!!!!
After a few days ,.. I received a call telling that the camera's were not in stock and asked us if we want to order another camera.. and we just asked him to cancel the order....
