"This was my first experirnce with ordering a Canon Rebel Xti. The owners and employees at USA Photo Nation are liars, cheats, and Frauds! I ordered a Canon Xti with 18-55mm lens for $480 (should have been my first clue). I received an email to call a 800 number before my order could be shipped. The person that answered, Ben is his name, told me that the camera did not come with a battery or charger. He said I'll sell you a 4 hr extended life battery and quick charger. He said together they retail for $250 but my price would be $189. Like a fool, thinking this guy and outfit is legit, I said OK. Then he said I need 2GB of High Speed error free compact flash. He said with regular flash it would take up to 30 seconds between photos as the camera waited for the picture to be written to the flash. So he tells me he will sell me 2GB flash and high speed flash card reader, normally over $300, for $249. The fish I am I said OK. Wait there is more. He then said I needed these titanium coated filters regular $200 for $169. After agreeing to purchase the other stuff whats an extra $169 for the filters. He then said he would sell me the entire package as stated above with shipping for $1099. I said Ok. WOW! When I got the merchandise was I in for a shock. The battery and charger shipped was the battery and charger that is included with the camera kit. It was not 4 hr. and there was no quick charger! Found them retail at Amazon for much much less ($39 for the battery). The flash card they sent was some cheap off brand that was only 100x. $100 or less for a known brand like Kingston. Finally the filters were cheap filters that can be bought at Amazon for $29 dollars. Yes $29 dollars. When I called customer service at USA Photo Nation, they quickly forwarded me to the sales guy Ben! First he tried to lie some more and gave me some song and dance about the products. Once he realized he had been caught in all of his lies and scam, he offered to give me a 5 year extended warrenty on the camera. When I said no, he told me to put a smile on my face and he would also send me a Corona or Bud, what ever kind of beer I perfered! By then I was quite upset and told him I wanted to return the whole purchase. I did not even get the camera out of the box or unpackage any of the other cheap items he sold me. He asked me if I was aware of the 15% restocking fee and the non-refundable $36 shipping fee. Painfully I said yes. I got an RMA# and the crap is on its way back to the crooks. This lesson in life cost me $200, if they refund the $900 (1099 minus restocking fee and shipping).
I am in the process of filing a complaint with the FTC since this was interstate commerce.
I will update this as to how the refund goes. To those that read this before doing buisness with the crooks, stay as far away from this outfit as possible.
Update: I finally got a refund posted to my CC. It was $200 less then what they originally charged! I had to pay 15% restocking fee and $35 shipping fee. Folks this outfit NEEDS TO BE SHUTDOWN! I urge everyone who has a post or who is going to post here to contact the following links and file complaints:

"Horrible expreiance! I wonder if they are in anyway affiliated with wisetronics! I got an email telling me to call to confirm my order and then they pressured me into getting a package deal, fell under the pressure and ordered it but regained my sensibility to cancel. So i called them back and to tell them i didnt want the package deal, they told me then my camcorder will not arrive for another couple of weeks cuz now all of a sudden it has to be shipped from bangledesh(correct spelling?) anyways i told them to cancel my order and that i wanted an email to confirm. They didnt send me one but instead sent me an email saying that my CCard is not allowing them to ship it to another address. So I called back again to tell them that i have ALREADY CANCELLED MY Order and that i want an email confirmation. They finally sent that to me. I checked my CCard summary after reading all these frauds that they are conducting and found out that I had two charges for 4.95$ on it. Which i never asked for. I called the companies posted for those charges and they said they were through another company and all this other crap and then they said they were affiliated with Walmart. I havent gone to walmart since i can remember. They told me they would send me an email with the recording of me asking for the charges. They never sent it, go figure! Called american express to tell them that there has been a mistake and now i have to cancel my card because i tried to save a couple of bucks. Worst expreiance ever with PHOTONATION and WISETRONICS. Dont know which one sold my CC info or maybe they both did... What a bunch of crooks. DOnt bother with Them. Save your time, not your money, buy from somewhere else. HORRIBLE STORE"
"WOW! I ordered a Canon EOS 30D and received an email asking me to call about my order. I know I was in trouble then! "Why didn't you order a battery"?--The service person asked. No battery? "Do you know the difference between a Japanese and a Chinese EOS 30D"?--The service person asked. Enough already---CANCEL MY ORDER! Their Website states NOTHING about the camera being from China---they just want to get you to call them for VERY expensive upgrades ---- or----Bait and Switch. If all consumers checked out ResellerRatings.com, USA Photo Nation would be closed in a day."
"I did received the product in a timely manor. But the item ended up costing more than it was advertised for. I also ordered accessories that ended up being an off brand for an outrages price. The purchase was not at all what had been explained on the phone. I feel completely ripped off. BUYER BEWARE even if there is a possitive rating for the store on the website that directs you to them. "
"I tried to purchase a Canon GL2 camcorder from them. They posted a price and a link to a rebate form ($250 rebate). I called and they stated that they were an authorized Canon dealer and that the rebate was good. I called Canon to verify they were authotized to sell the camcorder with a rebate. Canon said they are not an authorized dealer and there would be no rebate on anything purchased through them. They suggested that I get their zip code and call back with that and they could check further. USAPhotonation refused to give me their zip code so I could not verify that they were an authorized dealer."
"Add another to their bait-and-switch broken record: Ordered online a Canon A710 advertised at $239. Advertised as standard Canon camera. USA Photo Nation replied with an email to call them. Upon calling them, was told many disparaging things about the camera, such as "language is Chinese and sensor coded in Chinese". They claimed that the website stated this was a "Chinese Model" (which it did not). The representative attempted to sell me "accessories" such as batteries, chargers, cables, and instructions that he said did not come with the camera (but the website said it did). He then said he had an "American" model that would cost $300. This was the most overt and patently dishonest bait-and-switch I have ever encountered."
"orderd online and after the gray at that price, what no add on's, it will be over 8wks before shipping runaround, cancled only to have my credit card posted on the use it as quick as they can line. what a bunch of crooks, over 2000 in fraud charges the last being a bose sound system being shipped to hawaii, i live in indiana. how do these places get to stay in business????"
"I ordered 2 canon eos 30d bodies from this company after doing a google search. The next day i recieved an email telling me to call their 800 number and contact Vincent. I do that and recieved no hassles from the guy. He just asked if it was my first camera and i told him it was an upgrade from a 20d. He notifies me that its a gray market camera, which i was aware of because of the price. He didn't try to sell me anything or was rude so I guess i was luckier than the rest. I paid for overnight shipping and hadn't recieved a confirmation number in the mail. Then i found out about resellerratings.com and got a sick feeling in my gut. I contacted Vincent again and he tells me that the shipping department put the order on hold because of possibly only having one of the cameras in stock. He asked me when i needed the camera by, i told him i needed it yesterday and asked him to cancel the order. He says that its cancelled, but i still have my reservations about it due to everyone else's experiences with the company. So i'm going to contact my credit card company to send me a new card just to be safe."
"What a terrible experience! Product description was duplicitous, salespeople were rude and curt. I felt like i was being taken advantage of. I cancelled my order immediately."
"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!
I ordered a Canon S3 IS after finding they had the best price. After reading review about this store I called the company to inquire about them selling non US warrantied cameras. I listened to dead silence for 5 minutes then someone picked up and placed me on a dead silence hold for 9 minutes. When the guy answered he confirmed my order and tried to upsell me by telling me there was nothing in the box but the camera "no cds, no cables" I said no. I then asked him why the drivers cd didn't come with it from canon, he said it was a non us version. I then asked about the Warranty and he started t get very rude and angry with me. He finally offered a us version of the camera at an average price. I politely declined and asked him to cancel my order. He then told me I couldn't find this price anywhere and then hung up on me. I called back to confirm the cancel and then waited on hold again, I think it was the same guy that answered, he looked it up and said "its canceled already" and then hung up on me again....
I am calling my credit card company to have them issue me a new card, I just don't trust someone like that with my information."
"Same story as all the others. Tried to order a Pentax a10 camera. I did a nextag search and this site came up. I ordered the camera from the nextag popup. (I should have reviewed the site first but we all make mistakes). After ordereing I recvd an email saying I needed to call 'Jason'. He said I had to order the 'USA' version of the camera which he directed me on the web site and the price was 150.00 more. Said the camera I was ordering was not the USA version and didn't come with the battery, cables, straps, etc. What kind of camera doesn't come with a battery. I kept saying NO to him over and over and over again. He finally said I could get the camera I ordered but it would now take 6 to 8 weeks. I told him his web site said 7 to 10 days and he said I had to order the USA version. IE Upsell me this stuff and I can get the shipment I paid for. So after another 30 minutes on the phone with this person, he was very very aggressive, I aggred to the USA version with a slightly lower price then the one quoted on the web page. So we now have to wait and see if I get this camera or not. After reading these reviews I got sick to my stomach. I knew I had been taken. This web site is classic "Bait and Switch". They hook you in with thier low price, then tell you its only a 'shell' camera and all the stuff you actually need to operate it cost extra. I could have gone to circuit city and gotten it for the same price. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I contacted the ISP and told them about this. Will see if they do anything. Also, go to this web site http://www.oag.state.ny.us/online_forms/complaint_alert.jsp
and complain to the N.Y. attorny general. This is the only way to get any satisfaction. Very Dissatfied. Will see if I get what I now have paid for or if I have to return it once I receive it. Said I would get it in 7 days. They will only honor thier shipping if you upgrade to the more expensive product."
"I placed an internet order for a Sony Dvd 405 handycam on Friday. On the following Monday I received an e-mail asking me to call the company and speak to Kevin. After being on hold for a while Kevin came on and tried to sell me a better battery for $499. The camera was listed for $395. He then lowered the price of the battery to $199. When I refused to purchase the battery he told me the camcorder would arrive in 6-8 weeks even though the invoice said 7-10 days. At that point I cancelled my order and told him I would report the company. He said, "I am the Better Business Bureau" and "you will never be able to order anything on the internet again." At that point I hung up.
When I shopped for the camera the number of checks rating this store as "trusted" was high. Please don't order from this store.
Cheryl"
"After placing the order, they called and wanted to sell me all the accessories that I did not need. They then stated that the camera was not available, but was available with the accessories and extended warranty only. I stated that it sounded like a scam or a bait and switch and I would like to talk to a supervisor. I was then informed that they had all the information about me make me regret doing anything and I better not mess with the "master". So, take the complete package or cancel the order. I canceled the order and need to watch my credit information. I will be making formal charges against them next week"
"I ordered a camera from these people online. Several days later they called and tried to "upsell" the product. When I refused to buy the additional items, they changed the delivery dates from 8-10 days to 8-12 weeks (because they didn't have the product without the additional items, supposedly, and it had to come from China). When I insisted on their performing the original agreement, they became rude and coarse and abusive. When I mentioned reporting them to the NY Attorney General, they threatened to "screw" with my credit card. These guys are con artists. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM."
"AVOID this store!!!! It was a terrible customer service experience. The guy selling to me told me that I bought an import! Nowhere on the website did it say I bought an import. When I acted shocked at this, he said to me, "You know this is a thousand dollar camera. Try to get the camera somewhere else for $500 and see how far you get!" He was totally rude. When I asked for the manager, he said he WAS the manager. He was a total prick and he became a total jerk so fast that I was wondering what in the world I said to tick him off.
This was my worst online buying experience EVER and I've shopped a lot online. AVOID THIS MERCHANT!"
