"Wow. I'm incredibly impressed with Velocity Micro. I bought my Gamer's Edge PC off of them after seeing Alienware's horrible reviews. I have to say I'm absolutely thrilled with my machine. Easy to order, got to my house in a little over 2 weeks, just a good experience.
I will definately recommend them to anyone buying a new computer.

I forgot. One of the major reasons I went with VelocityMicro is that they actually respond to comments and reviews. That says a LOT about a company.

Had the computer for a few weeks now and it's handled everything I throw at it with ZERO problems. Beautiful.

On July 8, 2005 I sent in my machine for repair,( Velocity micro gamers edge vx desktop ) Now I have a problem with the power supply and it was told to me that I added more fans to the fan only line which could have caused the power supply failer. On top of that I was sent an email one week after they received my computer which contained pictures of the computer sitting inside the box. It had shifted during shipping. The ups driver who picked up the package said that he would take care of it which he did not. It clearly stated on the box that it contained electrical components do not crush. Someone that I will not mention that works for UPS stated that they throw around alot of packages without taking care. So now I was told by tech support that it was not damaged by shipping, but there is an issue with the way the fans are connected to the power supply and that I added other components to the system which they decided to void my warranty. When my system was upgraded back in 5/2004 the fans were connected the same way, ( the way I installed them) , How come no one fixed it then. It ran ok for a whole year without any major issues. Now all I want is to upgrade the power supply and have them fix that issue. I tried calling back on 7/19/2005 in the afternoon because they never get back to you when they say they are. When I call no one answers the phone. Is that the way to conduct business towards a customer who has spent hard earned money with the company. I gave them a week because they said that they were busy, whats the excuse now that they examined my system.
They do build good systems but everyone is not on the same sheet of music. It seems like a hit or miss. Right now I will never buy from them after this thing gets repaired. I'm now waiting for the price of the power supply that I chosen but he could not give me a price because the person from control was not there.
Their tech support contacts me on 7/20/05 to tell me that they will not work on my system since it has too many 3 party components. I was told that they did not turn on my system, they just looked at it. I know that is not the truth, I feel that they possibley recklessly damaged my system. They were going to fix it at first then they change their minds. They have lost a customer and now I have to take other action. NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE NOT AS BIG AS THEY ADVERTISE.

“Thanks for the feedback, ronbos56! We will continue to raise the bar for PC performance with the backup support users deserve.

After we figured out your restore disk was not working because of your install of Norton AntiVirus, I'm pleased we could get you up and running.

As for the notebook, we replaced the first unit and found no trouble with it but sent a new unit anyway. When you returned the replacement notebook because of a virtually invisible indentation in the plastic, we agreed to provide a free custom paint job to cover the damage caused by the permanent magic marker you used to show where the plastic indentation was, and we could not remove all of the permanent marker ink. Finally, you wanted a refund because you had a delay in connecting to your wireless network of about 45 seconds, and were afraid we might scratch the paint if you eventually had to return it for any kind of repairs. We agree that returning your system is in everyone's best interest.

Your modifications casued a failure on the power supply in your desktop unit, and we have suggested you find a local repair shop to fix this problem, which has voided your warranty.

Thanks for your feedback!”

"I have purchased many computer systems over the years and have NEVER had such a great experience spending so much money before now! I have been looking for a high-end graphics system for a few weeks and came across the a number of articles regarding Velocity Micro. After the most awfull encounters with SYS Technologies, Alienware, Xi and Dell to name a few, Velocity Micro stood out among them all.
Extremely knowledgable, friendly, and able to calm my fears, I ordered a new Duel 2800 AMD Workstation.
I will let everyone know what my future experiences with Velocity Micro are in the next few weeks(when delivered) but if the delivery is as good as the ordering, WOW!!

"I ordered a Gamer 1500 PC. The order process was great. The lady I talked to was very helpful and polite. The computer arrived on time and in good shape.

The reason I am writing this is about the technical support. I had problems with my ATI 9200 graphics card almost from the start, so I called the tech support number and left my warranty number, name and phone number. It was a couple of hours before I was called back. It was suggested that I install a newer driver , so I did. The problems I had did not go away. I called a total of 4 times and each time the wait for the return call was 30 minutes to four hours. All without solving the problem.

I finally called Velocity direct and got Jeremy, who is arranging to have a new graphics card sent to me.

I hope that Velocity will do something about the wait time for tech support or that they will quit advertising that you will get a call back in ten minutes.

The product is fine, the support needs to be upgraded.

"BRAVO !!! VELOCITY MICRO !!! I purchased a VX custom system 5/20/03 It works flawlessly ! All my friends are very impressed. I praise velocity micro to everyone especially those looking for a new computer. Jeremy was very helpfull as well as Walter. Jeremy guided me so I would not over buy for my uses. The only thing I would change is the video card I would liked to have had ATI 9500 or the 9600 with DVI instead of the ATI 900 With DVI . The support is GREAT I created a problem with w/XP .I called support and the very nice fellow told me to contact microsoft for help. As it tuned out I solved the problem on my own, BUT later in the day the same fellow from support called me back to see how I made out with the problem. This is unheard of, GREAT SERVICE !!!I know that Randy is president of vekocity micro , KEEP on going as you are this company is going to be BIG !!!( for Jeremy GIANTS fans are very nice and orderly,have NO worry coming up toa game. "I picked up my new Velocity Micro Gamer's Edge PC on 6/27/03. I live across town from the company and even got a little tour of the facility... very nice! The machine is fantastic and extremely quiet. The documentation notebook is well put together. Everything works perfectly and it's very fast.
I had been wanting to get a high end gaming PC for some time and had planned to go with Falcon Northwest. But I kept seeing Velocity Micro PCs in the gaming magazines. Then an article came out in our local paper about the company. (I didn't realize it was local!) I started researching it and when I saw the great components they use and read the Reseller Ratings reviews, I knew it was the company for me. Plus everyone I dealt with has been so nice. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a quality PC. They know their stuff!

"I purchased a PC from Velocity Micro for a variety of reasons: home office, website maintenance & graphics, and a bit of gaming. My order arrived within the time frame given, and I easily made one change to my order.

I am very happy with my purchase. Its a great PC, and the overall quality vs. cost is reasonable. I especially appreciated the level of customization that was available. I could spend more money on the hardware that mattered instead of being stuck w/ a second set of speakers and other peripherals that I already owned.

I was a fan of Dell PCs, but I felt going with a smaller company w/ a higher level of customization and quality was a better way to go for me.

"I also had a great experience with Velocity.

Was able to configure an order without any trouble, delivery was exactly on time, and so far, the computer is performing excellently. (Actually, I accidentally deleted a driver, then deleted another one trying to fix the first problem, but they include a set of system restore disks, so I had everything running again in 15 minutes.)On top of everything else, their prices are good, too.

I'd definitely buy from them again.

"great computer.ordered on 5/28/03 recieved 21 days later, on time and in great shape.it is very fast and exactly what I wanted. sales people are very helpful,and friendly. tech support is great you call them and leave your info. and they call you back. no long waiting on hold. I was missing one cable and they are shipping it to me no hassel.I think anyone who orders a computer will be very satisfied."

"Well, the computer is up and running and I'm a happy guy again. The customer service (Randy specifically) has been very positive since I posted the note about the system arriving DOA. Randy called me Saturday morning inquiring about the system and was willing to help troubleshoot the problem, but I was unable to get to this until this evening. He stayed in touch over this weekend and was very responsive to emails and calls I made. Would I recommend VelocityMicro to someone? Absolutely!

Okay, it's a good news/bad news thing. Got home and found my PC waiting for me. Good thing. Unfortunately it's DOA. Plug it in and dead as a doornail. Bad thing. 'Course it's 5:00 local time and they're not open (not even support) so I can't get this resolved until Monday. Will post more as the story unfolds.

Like others that have posted here, I've spent a lot of time evaluating computer companies and have relied heavily on resellerratings to help me make my decision. I was very close to buying an Alienware box when I read a reference to velocitymicro and I think I'm glad I did. I made my order today and had them make some minor adjustments to the order (creating some additional partitions), then I asked if they could rush the order. At first Andy was a little hesitant about the rush, but said he would call back if they could pull it off. Sure enough, about 10 minutes later I get a call and he said they would rush the order for me!

I'll give an update when I receive the system.

We regret the trouble you are having has reduced your excitement for the system, but we will strive to get you up and running as soon as possible.

"I shopped around for a new system to replace my aging computer. I started at Alienware, but ended up at Velocity Micro through reviews on this site. I just received my system, and it is everything I could have hoped for. It set up and ran perfectly, and came with a binder with all the product manuals and support information neatly separated. I tested the system out on my most graphic intensive games, and it runs smoothly at high framerates.

When I ordered the system, I spoke to Randy. He was extremely helpful in answering my various questions. When I asked about different options, he recommended the one that he thought would best suit my needs; usually the less expensive one. He even offered to give me free shipping if I got my order in that day, which I did. I am completely satisfied with my buying experience, and when I need a new system, I will head right to Velocity Micro.

"I shopped for a new system and visited ALL of the different sites and vendors and was impressed with the rave reviews about Velocity Micro. So I ordered my system, complete with ATI 9800 Pro, and like most people I wanted to change my original configuration. They had no problem meeting my new needs. During the build time the price of the system I ordered dropped and guess what they adjusted the price for me with no complaint (saved $175.00). I've had my new system for about a week and it absolutely Kicks A**! Not only did they put all the disks and drivers in a nice binder with all the documentation but they also shipped my system with all of the latest drivers installed. If you are going to buy a new system get it from these people! You will not be disappointed. This is my 8th computer i've bought over the years and far and away this is the best buying experience I have ever had.
