VitalSource and was given an access code to use at another site. But the access code did not work, and VitalSource would not give a refund. Honestly a horrible experience."
"I’ve rented books from vital source before and have not had any issues. This time however I can’t access my book unless I’m on a specific website. There was no specification or information stating that was going to be the case. So instead of the bookshelf app I have to remember that website. It’s awkward to read from the site. It would have been nice to know all of this prior to ordering."
"Not a terrible platform, not a great one. I would suggest making a few platforms that play well with multiple operating systems instead of one that works marginally well with everything. It worsens the experience when pages don’t line up with the physical text book."

"Purchase was fine. I like to write notes and highlight my reading during grad classes. It was advertised that the pages can be downloaded easily. I even bought the $79.99 version over the $49.99 version because it said enhanced printing. Similar to a previous experience, the downloads have missing pages, missing sections, randomly stop in the middle of a page, and are a mess. It says not to do a range larger than 50 pages. I can't even print a single page without error. "

"Today I was trying to make flashcards and as soon as I go back to text I cannot paste to the flashcard. I have to save and go back to the editing.
The text in the flashcards is light and hard to see when making them.
My main "beef" is that the text is not fitted to the screen. I do NOT like using the scroll side to side. This makes for hard reading. And today I tried to up the text size and it wasn't working.
I like the search functions. The table of contents. I like that I can get my textbooks quickly and cheaper than hard copies. I imagine that it is more eco friendly....is it?

"I was glad to find a place to read the books. They are not available to download to my Kindle so I was looking for a place to read online. The app does not allow you to go to each chapter or back to a previous chapter. It will randomly jump back to a previous chapter if you aren't carefully turning the pages. It is frustrating but doable. "
"It's nice to be able to buy electronic textbooks; the voice choices to listen to them are extremely distracting and it is hard to concentrate on study materials. I would not recomend this platform form anyone with ADHD or perception disorders. I wish i had not spent my money on these and chosen actual books."
