"Your costomer service sucks. I have spent the last mounth trying to get the cameras to pan up, past my fence line. even eric the teck2 support has not even helped. you have wasted my time, and yours. your system doesn't work as advertised. I, sitting 10' away from the camera and recieve no picture. I was very dissatisfied with the whole experince. nobody goes out of his, or her way to get back to you."

"The motion detectors/floodlights/2.4 GHz TV cameras (VT38A)were not sending the in-house signals as expected. Although I purchased them so long ago that they were out of warranty, and I had just gotten around to installing them, customer sevice tech Andrew Packer gave me the info I needed to check them out and get them operating. The video sender (VK54A), likewise out of warranty, and totally non-functional is being replaced.
X-10's products are genrally terrific; I've used them for many years. Most importantly, their service personnel are very reasonable and do a great job. Thank you, Andrew Packer.

"I have received 3 deliveries from X-10 and they all arrived in good time (even over Christmas).
I have sent some email’s (questions) and have always received a prompted answer no later than the next business day.
Twice I called X-10 and both times I received excellent service, unfortunately I am unable to remember the first lady who helped me but the other lady’s name was Leeanne Riordan.
I am happy with the service I have received from X-10; I would rate it above average

"As of today, I am still working on my first order. But wanted to take the time to say that I have been working with Steve Reeves from the sales dept. and am very pleased with the service I have received this far. He has really taken the time to determine what is best for my needs, at a very reasonable price. So I believe if the rest of their service lives up to his standards, then this will be a most dependable company to do business with on a regular basis. You have a valuable idea here, rating on-line businesses for the performance, good or bad, of customer service; at least, that is my understanding of what you do, although you may offer merchants more than just that service.

There is not a more important service, though, in my estimation, because each year I buy more products on-line than the year before, and since there is no one to deal with, as is the case in a shopping mall, or other in-person store where a sales representative meets you face to face, fast and courteous e-mail and telephone response is my way of evaluating the overall "character" of the merchant.

My recent purchase, and then later, my return of the merchandise to X-10.com was handled professionally and courteously by Rebecca Bjorneby.

As I previously stated, I buy many things on-line, and I'm happy to add my opinion to this survey, because of all my buying experiences, Rebecca's personal involvement with my order, and its return, rates at the top.

I'm sure that as on-line marketing continues to improve, and the service to customers is stressed, and given the importance it deserves, on-line businesses will grow and gain more market share, because a satisfied customer is very often a repeat customer.

Ms. Bjorneby kept the lines of communication open with me, by telephone and e-mail. I was sent invoices and tracking numbers, and all my questions were anticipated by her and answered promptly.

When my returned merchandise was received by X-10, I was sent a credit back to my charge card in less than one day.

And that's how a successful business keeps its customers, and doesn't need to spend additional money for advertising and promotions to attract new ones. The company increases sales on its strong base of repeat customers.

Thank you for this opportunity to commend Ms. Bjorneby for her superior service and helpful attitude.

I continue to hope for more people just like her, working hard and smartly behind the flash of a web page used by companies to attract us.

"Their software is crap. They sold me a program called Vanguard, but by looking at all the software on their site, they probably have the same problem.

The software cripples modem and fax applications on your computer. X10 doesn't disclose this problem either pre-sale or post-sale. They wait until you discover the issue belatedly when your applications won't work. By then it's after their 30-day return period.

I'm left with what I view as a pile of crap from them that I cannot return.

My only salvation will be to buy a new separate computer to run their software separately from theirs.
