"I purchased a WiiKey on March 11th and it shipped the same day. I got it the next day via Purolator. It didn't hurt with them being only a few hours away from my home, but it was still a relief that they shipped the same day. The packaging was good and I was happy to see they included a printed invoice and not just a email generated one like most online shops.

My experience has been a positive one 5/5!

I'll definitely buy again once we see a real xbox360 modchip =D ... sooner to use one this discount coupon they included in my package... the ruby red XCM cases definitely look awesome.

"I've searched the internet for 2 days just to find that not a single business had the item I was looking for...

"The system I ordered arrived and worked perfectly. Everything went well with one exception. It took almost 3 weeks for my pre-mod system to ship.

The quality of work was excellent, but I had a hard time getting response at times. Once I got a good contact her helped me out as best he could and got things going.

Overall I'm happy with the purchase, just a little scared of being ripped off a little in the process.

"These guys are the best !!!! they went the extra mile for me to help me with issues i was nto able to deall with . the products are top notch and far superior to the JUNK on ebay ..you will not find betetr custoemr service as afar as hands on halp and great products. i am not a huge gamer but my 360 says thanks for the great case and fan units.
keep it up and dont let a few negative people get you down.. they are just aware of a good thing when they see it .. most likly only looking at price to price comp. ...never the best idf the products are nto the same ..which they are not as i was not able to find your products anywhere else.

"Very pleased with customer service. An individual from the company called and emailed me within minutes after ordering for a different shipping address because I gave them a P.O box instead of a physical address for DHL to deliver to. After the correction I received two emails, one regarding order processing and the other from their shipping company complete with tracking numbers. I will do business with them again. As far as peoples complaints....new companies will have issues with shipping delays and slow responses to their customers...it's issues that get ironed out as it matures. Thanks"

"I was a little leary at first, because a few days after ordering, I receive a notice my order was "complete", but received no tracking number. I was scared at first, mainly because an order at another, similar store went 2 weeks without hearing anything, only to find out they were out of stock. As I was/am replacing a system, and had requested fast shipping, this was a major let down. Back to this order: Calls and emails went unanswered for a few days. Luckily, after a few days i received word that they would contact my system builder, and soon after that I received a shipping confirmation and tracking number. Once my system arrived, everything went well. I planned on swapping the included drive with my own, and flashing the BIOS, both which went smoothly. Now everything is back up and working, and I am very happy. It took a bit longer than I would have liked/expected, but once someone got in contact with me, they were very quick to answer my questions. Overall I am pleased, although the lack of someone answering the phone, and the delay in the first response to emails (a few days) were disconcerning. I would consider doing more bussiness with this company, if I need to, since they did get me my product, and it is working as expected, which is what matters to me most. "

I could have installed the chip myself for all the trouble this has been...Otherwise I will pursue legal action, and report the PSP as being stolen. This experience has been horrible."

"Regardless of what anybody else says I actually had a good experience with this company. They were very swift in answering any and all questions I had and they handle my situation ( the actual delievery , not their fault , by the way ) very well. They stayed very professional and their product was outstanding. I am very impressed and will continue to do buisness with them in the near future!

"These guys are crooks, I hope that more people read these reviews before they buy from them , I should have done that. I ordered a fan unit and a case on 12/6/06 and after promising and promising that it would be here before X-mas it never showed. Two days after X-mas a box arrived that had the case mod (at least I got something) but no fan units.

They said I must have missed them in the box, how do you missa whole fan unit? After I told them it was not here they (Jan) kept saying that they would ship it and send a tracking number.

I finally told them that if I did not have a response from them by today, 01/05/07, I would dispute with my CC company.

So I waited the whole week and received no E-mail, nothing from these guys, I just hung up with the CC company after filing dispute.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS

I cannot beleive that you reponded in this way, I told you EXACTLY the amount I was disputing (65.40 out of 197.00). If you think that my E-mails were unclear IN THE LEAST about what I ordered and what I received, you should go and take some reading lessons, how many times did I need to write to you, I DID NOT RECEIVE THE FANS for you to understand. Also it was YOU who were unclear about what you sent in your E-mails not me. JAN offered to ship out the missing parts but never did, as far as I can see, you are just a bunch of guys with good products but no customer service and it is obvious that you do not know how to run a business.

I will give credit where credit is due.
True to his word he did ship the fans and they arrived in perfect order, as I said earlier the products that they sell are great, I just wish I did not have to go through this to get them. I have canceled the CC dispute with my card company.

"Five days after I placed my order, I received an "ORDER COMPLETED" email. The money was taken out of my account on this day. One of my queries was answered several days later, and in response to my requests for more information (i.e- a reasonable shipping date) I received one cursory reply from "Jan" to tell me that my order would be looked into and a tracking number provided.

I have since had nothing from them - no replies to increasingly agitated queries, no package, no updates on my order, and no response to several calls made to their answering service.

So far, they have failed to uphold claims regarding shipment times, query response times, their Live Support (which I have yet to see "live") and their guidelines for ordering in time for Christmas.

As it has been almost a month now since I made my order, three weeks since money was taken from my credit card, and with no further correspondence to reassure me, I cannot help but to assume the worst.

UPDATE (3rd Jan):
Finally having had enough of the silent treatment, I demanded a refund. I did this in several messages over several days, by phone and by email.

I received another brief message from "Jan" stating that they'd had problems with their installers and expected to ship the following week.

A week has passed with no further information.

I have now contacted my credit card company, who inform me that I am covered and can expect my money back within the working week.

ADDENDUM (8th Jan):
Late on the evening of the 3rd (the day in which I contacted my credit card provider) I received emails apparently in response to all three open tickets on the system. Three identical emails stated that I had been refunded on the 29th of December.

I checked my credit card statement right then, and sure enough, the amount had appeared as credit... dated 3rd of January. The amount was less £19GB - and without any further information from the reseller, I can only make assumptions.

My disappointment is that I never received the item that was ordered - especially when that item was ordered in time for Christmas delivery. My queries were not answered in a timely manner, and even then, the responses were unsatisfactory.

Maybe I was just unlucky and XBMC was so inundated that they simply had no chance to respond adequately to one customer's needs - but my card was charged long before any action was taken to provide my goods, and subsequent problems remained unreported until far too late.

I believe that this reseller could improve customer experience if they left charging for an item (and reporting a 'completed order') until the item is at least ready to ship. They need to be more transparent in their operations, and provide more information to customers regarding delays. It pays to be up front and honest with your customers, as some things are better handled by a frank apology.

It really helps if a customer has the impression that the retailer exists somewhere behind the facade of their site. Unfortunately, XBMC's current practices leave you to make your own assumptions - an online query system where issues are not fully addressed and responses to emails/tickets are not efficiently collated can only make things worse.

(!)According to their response to this review, am I to presume that *emails* are harder to send to an overseas customer? Is it a problem related to the thousands of miles of wire and fibre they have to traverse? Did they get lost along the way, messages informing me of a refund, sent ON the 29th?

A delay subsequent to the posting of my refund is expected - emails however, do not take four days to compose on the subject of a refund. Perhaps I am a lower priority because I don't live next door?

Evidently, that wouldn't do a lot of good either...

This reviewer would not recommend XBox-ModChips.com until they have given serious consideration to revising their systems and improving their customer support.

ONE LAST NOTE (9th Jan):
I have just had a call from my credit card provider, who have offered to reimburse the £19. More importantly, I have preliminary confirmation that the refund was posted ON the 3rd! O.o

Bad show, XBox-ModChips! A prompt refund with an honest apology would have been far more appreciated. Let your response to this review remain as a sign of your slap-shod service; the dates, after all, are pretty much self-evident.

RE: further comment.
While this seems to you a point worthy of dispute, it is of little importance when one considers that the refund was a result of LACK of PRODUCT and my SUBSEQUENT COMPLAINT. So service was suddenly ADEQUATE regarding the refund? Who cares?

Your claims and that of my ever-communicative CC provider do not appear to tally. Who should I trust? When it comes down to it, up to the third of January, I had no reason to expect that money to be anywhere other than the bowels of your business. Silence engenders no trust.

NB: I think XBMC's responses to these reviews are most indicative of the sort of crappy attitude one might expect from them.

"After placing an order for a SATA to USB adapter for my xbox 360 on 11-18-2006, I found out my particular DVD Drive in my xbox 360 was incompatible with this adapter. On 11-22-2006 I requested my order be cancelled. I received a swift response within a few hours from someone named Jan, stating that they could cancel my order within 24-48 hours minus a processing fee. Reluctantly I agreed, seeing as how I should have done the proper research before ordering a product incompatible with my console dvd drive. Two days later, on 11-24-2006 I was charged anyways for the order that should have been cancelled by then. I added a "call" on my cancellation ticket telling them to go ahead and send the item anyways since my friend had a compatible dvd drive for it, and offered to take the adapter off my hands once I got it. That particular ticket is still open and I have not received an update on it from the company since the initial cancel processing time response. Their site specifically states that the preordered adapter ships by 11-29-2006. So roughly four days ago on 12-4-2006 I opened another ticket for an order status request since I still have not gotten any additional response on my cancellation ticket, nor have I gotten any sort of tracking number or shipping confirmation from them. It has been over 72 hours now and I still have not heard anything back from them on that second ticket. Seeing as how its been over two weeks since I was charged for the item, even after cancelling the order - I was a little worried that maybe the company got shut down or something, so I did a quick google search for xbox-modchips.com - which brought me to this site. I wish I had done that before even placing the order in the first place! Judging from the other stories here, it almost seems like this company flips a coin on each order to determine the quality of service each customer gets. So about two hours ago I added a "call" to my latest ticket, again requesting my order status. I updated the priority of the ticket to 1 (Urgent) and left a note stating that if I do not receive a response or shipping status/tracking number within 48 hours, I will be filing reports with my bank and local police department. I also commented that I can fully understand that they may be short staffed or totally overwhelmed with orders (especially during the holiday season), but if they are going to charge me for a product, and can't deliver on time as stated on the product page, they need to at least be swift to respond to something as simple as an order inquiry - anything less is completely unacceptable. So I guess if by 12-10-2006, I haven't heard back from them at all, I get to go file a police report, and file a claim at my bank. I'll keep you all updated with what happens...

12/14/06-FINALLY got a response from Jan regarding the ticket I submitted 10 days ago requesting the status of my order. Too bad I already went to the bank and filed the fraudulent charge claim. I even gave them more time than the original 48 hours I stated in my ticket. I was informed that they still aren't even expecting their supply of xectuter 360 usb adapters for another week and a half, which is why they're still on preorder. Funny, exactly why then does their site still state that the preorder adapter ships by 11/29/2006? The response seemed automated and said nothing about the other part of my ticket threatening to file a police report and also a fraud claim at my bank if they didn't respond within 48 hours. It's too late to cancel the fraud claim at the bank, and I've already had to have my check card closed out because of this mess as well.

1/10/2007 - My response to xboxmodchips.com's response to this post: Yeah, so I got my money back, NO THANKS TO YOU IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER. As to your statements - "Any estimated shipping dates on a PRE-ORDERED ITEM are just that ESTIMATES." and "But please note in the future when you order a PRE-ORDER/PRE-RELEASE Item there can be delays" - maybe you could mention all of that on your site. And how about the two week waiting time to get a response from you about anything, and your non-existent "live customer service"? Issue resolved? -yes, but thanks to my bank, not you. Maybe instead of trying to save face with these issues and making excuses, you should just apologize for not being able to handle customer's issues in a timely and professional manner. With a 1.43/10 rating for the past 6 months, nobody's buying these excuses of yours anyways.
