"pretty much the same experience as everyone else. poor customer service. ordered HID low beams and wouldn't work as advertised (no day time running lights)and when i called to complain customer serv. rep Alvin said a) the installer was an idiot, and b) i'd have to pay more $$ to get the relay the installer said I needed. Plug and play? Really. Luckily the installer was great and fashioned a relay out of extra parts on the spot and they work-for now. wished I knew about this company before my purchase. buyer beware. "

"** C A U T I O N * B E W A R E * C A U T I O N **
I wish I'd read the other reviews here before purchasing from these scammers!!

I had numerous e-mail queries w/ "Customer Service" (and I use that term loosely) BEFORE I purchased assuring me that the system was "Plug & Play" no modifications, etc . . . . I placed my order and the smoke and mirrors nightmare began! They provided a tracking number and stated my order shipped via UPS. After two weeks of waiting I called only to learn they were shipped FedEx one day earlier (so how did they provide a UPS tracking number the day of my order? They finaly arrive after having shipped from Brittish Columbia (?!?!?) three weeks after I placed the order. But they were sent "signature required" and, well, I have a job and was not available to sign for them! This added another 3 days of dancing with FedEx to get my cheap a$$ Korean light bulbs from Brittish Columbia from ol' Kevin Matsumoto . . . AND it gets worse . . . They aren't "Plug & Play" they require changing fuses, and they DO NOT WORK with Daytime Running Lights. In order to get them to work I have to have my Daytime Running Lights disabled. Now why would I want to disable a Federally Mandated function on a BRAND NEW CAR that I padi nearly $36K to get a cheap a$$ set of Korean lights to work??? Now they don't return phone messages or no longer respond to e-mails . . . I'm out $459.00 and have filed a complaint with the Better business Bureau along with 36 other people!!! STAY AWAY!!! Spare yourself the agony of dealing with these thieves!!!

"I purchase a bi-xenon kit for my Jetta GT on 12/7/2007, I received the package ok and everything was going ok until I went to install the kit… it wasn’t “plug and play” as they advertise, the connectors needed to be adjusted for my 9004 OEM system. Surviving the installation there was no manual included or anything to assist you, to make things worse the wires on the bulb didn’t have any labels to tell you which were the low/hi beam plus one of the ballasts didn’t have any labels; after a lot of testing I finally got them to work correctly. I was not impressed with the quality and light output compared with the cheap $100 systems from some of my friends (I paid $524.63 for this kit).
Almost a year after I had an issue with one of the bulbs, the low beam stopped working and that is when the nightmare started, it was super hard to contact Xtralights, countless hours YES HOURS waiting for Live Help, same with their messenger assistance and calling it was even worst, take in consideration that I am from Costa Rica so that means international calling rates (their toll free inst free for me), finally I got a guy from SALES which his name I don’t recall and he finally help me… I sent the package and YES paid the shipping, when I receive the replacement bulb like 3 weeks after… guess what! IT WAS THE WRONG COLOR !!!!!! I contact them (same BS as before) and finally SALES again was the only one that helped me.. the guys said that I need to let the bulb “adjust” for a week or two and that the color will be ok… that didn’t happen so I went back to the Live Help, chat, phone calls and after almost a month I got this (SALES again) guy named John that almost hung up on me telling me that he was sales not customer service… I called back and this sales guys Alvin was very helpful and provide me with all the paper work I needed to send back the WRONG bulb THEY send me and I again I pay for the shipping... funny that THEY send me the wrong bulb and I was the one paying for the shipping, DO I HAVE A CHOICE?
According to someone on messenger my package was shipped today so I will keep you guys posted… My advice to all of you guys.
Don’t use this company:
1- Super bad customer service
2- Price vs. quality is poor… I rather purchase an $80 Ebay kit and I bet you guys it will work even better than the one you can get with Xtralights.com
3- No matter what if you want to replace something even if that was their mistake YOU PAY SHIPPING BOTH WAYS.

"I ordered a HID kit ($439.00) and two replacement bulbs ($180.00) plus shipping. When products arrived everything was good, except for one of the replacement bulbs. The bulb had a small crack in the glass. When I phoned XTRALIGHTS CUSTOMER SERVICE I didn't get a response. After finally getting through to CUSTOMER SERVICE, they asked me to take a picture of the crack and email it to them. I told them I didn't want to waste my time taking a picture; I simply want to exchange it for a NEW one. They said that would be fine, just ship it back to us and we will send a new one. I shipped it back, waited a month for the exchanged bulb to come back to me. When the bulb arrived it was the same DEFECTIVE bulb I shipped them. I phoned XTRALIGHTS CUSTOMER SERVICE to tell them I received the same bulb. They told me that there is no way that they sent me the same bulb. So I shipped the 2nd defective (in the same way as the first one) bulb back to XTRALIGHTS. Waited again for a month, wondering where the bulb was, I tried and tried till I got through to XTRALIGHTS CUSTOMER SERVICE. When I got through they told me it shipped back to me that day, so I waited another two weeks, it didn't come. I phoned XTRALIGHTS CUSTOMER SERVICE once again, finally got a hold of KEVIN in CUSTOMER SERVICE. He told me that the bulb was going to ship that day, two weeks after it was supposed to have. Then he said the reason it wasn't being sent to me was because they need credit card information to charge return shipping to. I have now paid ($70.00) to ship the defective bulb they originally sent me back and forth. THESE SCAM ARTISTS WILL ALUDE YOU IF YOU NEED ANY HELP/CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THEM. DON'T WASTE YOU'RE TIME OR YOU'RE MONEY ON THESE SCAMMERS. THEY SUCK!!!!"

"Ordered a HID kit for my motorcycle. The ballast failed after about two months. I tried leaving messages, emails, etc for months. I got no response. They simply ignore you if you have a problem with their poor quality products. Do yourself a favor, and avoid them completely. There are many other places to buy a HID kit that are deserving of your business. These scam artists should be put out of business."

"Ordered two digital plug and play kits for motorcycles. The lenght from the bulb to the pack is 33" not 48" like on the website and I call them they act like i am crazy.
They want 20% restock fee and pay for shipping both ways on a mis advertised product.

"I purchased an HID kit from xtralights.com in February of 2006. The kit did not work with my vehicle and I immediately contacted Xrtralights and attempted to get a RA number. After weeks of waiting and numerous phone calls, I was finally issued an RA number.

I sent the merchandise back and made numerous phone calls to see when my refund would be issued and everytime I was told it would be done that day. I was finally offered a store credit by someone named Simon and was told that "I was lucky they were even offering me that for a return." I told Simon that they are running a scam and he told me that that is why the move around.

Absolutely worst business ever! Beware...

"I placed an order with this company on February 10 of this year. After a few weeks of waiting I tried to contact the customer sevice but after numerus messages left and E.Mails written I have not heard from anybody. I called the sales line today and was told that the lamps I ordered were in stock. When I asked about my order I was put through to the phantom customer service department. I again left a message. I am very discuraged and feel I have lost $360.80. So far this is the worst company I have ever done Internet business with."

"I ordered headlights for my 2003 Mustang, They were missing three of the LED lights. when I called them they wanted me to send picture of headlight with missing bulbs, I did and they said they would send them to me. I never received them and filed complaint with BBC Better business bureau they contacted me last week and said xtralights would not respond to them and that they closed the case. I am very upset about this and feel that I was Ripped off by this company. Please do not do business with them!!! "

"Incorrect items sent and incomplete order. Very poor Cust. Serv. 12/7/05 and still trying to get an RMA# to return incorrect product. Still have not seen correct product shipped. No tracking info sent. Have filed dispute with creditor and have not seen an effort or straight answer from xtralights. Wondering if this is a scam company. They are out of BC, Canada and the phone number run through Rogers AT&T Wireless in Vancouver, BC. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!"
