They charged my card (actually just placed a hold on the money) for $500. No problem, I bought that much. But the product I bought, which they claimed was in stock, was not. No big, it happens. Then they miss their new ship date by eight days. So I call and ask for a refund. No problem they say. Two days later, no refund. I call them and they say since they only placed a hold on the money it's up to the CC company to release it, not them. WTF!!! CC company says no problem but since they placed the hold for a reason they have to send a fax or email to release it. That was too much trouble for extreme gear though. They refused and I had to wait till thirty days had elapsed before I got my money back. I will tell anyone who has any interest at all to avoid this company at all costs. Pay double if you have to, it'll still be worth it to avoid their headaches."

I made this order on a Saturday, early morning, Monday night at 7:10 PM I recieve an email informing me that they need authorization (including: a copy of my drivers license?! and both sides of my credit card) and that I am supposed to fax this to them (I have neither a fax machine or a scanner, and I'm sure as hell not going to the library to use theirs). Then at the bottom I am supposed to print the email and send it in signed:
"I understand that if and when returning merchandise, all original contents must be in it’s original content. In the event that there are missing items, or opened software, I will be held responsible and will accept full charges. I hereby authorize XtremeGear.com. To charge the purchase amount $______ to my credit card and ship to the following address:"
Oddly enough, my card was charged immediately (and authorized) with the full amount. Worst online buying experience I have ever had, will never buy from them again, in fact, I am telling all my friends to stay clear of them!
Why would they need personal information, such as a driver's license number? Why would they need authorization when they already billed my credit card?! STAY AWAY FROM XTREMEGEAR!"
