"Do not order from yesasia who should be name nooasia, there is no way of tracking if you use standard shipping and my order was has not arrived, i dont think it will ever arrived i have since order from another retailer. If my order does arrived i am returning it and hoping for a refund. "

"ONLY BUY FROM THEM IF YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO!

I desperately wanted to get a new phone to replace my broken one but the phone that I wanted wasn't available at all reputable British retailers- online and in store (they had all sold out/discontinued), so I bought the phone from YesAsia.com and calculated that buying the phone from here would be cheaper anyway.
But there were quite a few problems from this company. First of all, their customer support line covers awkward hours e.g. from midnight - 8am Monday - Fridays so it was hard to get a hold of someone when I needed some queries/question answered. Despite that, when I did get a hold of customer services, they were very helpful and had answered all my questions/queries.

My order was also delayed as the company didn't believe that I was the rightful card-holder which then involved me sending a lot data just to prove them that I was the rightful card-holder (which thankfully I had a good quality digital camera otherwise I would've never have received my parcel

The shipping costs were just ridiculous! The website had stated that products over a certain amount of money could be eligible for for free shipping which the phone was eligible for in terms of cost but when I looked in the terms and conditions, mobile phones were the only products that were excluded from this term which annoyed me and the product was only eligible for "Express delivery only" (not even standard delivery) so I couldn't even choose my shipping preferences. I had none! The forced shipping cost was very pricey indeed!

The seller also offers to reimburse you for VAT charges on any product if you live in the UK or Germany except for high value goods such as mobile phones...then what's the point in that? Not a good benefit at all!


Plus today (being a first time online buyer for products from abroad), I received an invoice from the delivery company of the parcel to pay the VAT and Administration charges that I thought was included in the price which has cost me more than I thought for this phone altogether. And what's more...Amazon have now received more of the phone that I wanted in stock along with a 3 year optional guarantee that would have been so much cheaper had I waited just 1 month longer (but wanted to get the phone in time for xmas to beat the VAT increase- how ironic. I had also thought that the phone would never come back in stock to Amazon and therefore resorted to this website as a last resort)as that deal is cheaper than the phone that I got plus the 1-year dodgy termed guarantee from this supplier.

At least the product came safely and is working and is in blue (which is a colour that's hard to find in this phone and is usually found in red I guess that's the only upside)even though I wouldn't say that the phone is what I expected completely and is worth what I paid overall.


In conclusion, do not buy from this seller unless you really have to!

"I shopped at YesAsia.com a few years ago, mainly because it was one of the more reputable sites to buy movies and cds. The shipping was decent at first, I got items within 1-2 weeks, which is not bad since they are based in China and need to import goods from Asia. A year later and it got bad to the point where 3 weeks pass and still nothing. The customer service reps have always been friendly, I'm not sure about now, but if they made a mistake on your order they would offer a $5 courtesy coupon. Despite that, I stopped shopping there due to the slow shipping and inflated prices."

"I had a good experience with YesAsia last 2007 -- I ordered some manga, chose free shipping, and it came very quickly to my doorstep, in a neat box and in perfect condition. With that confidence, I ordered from them again this last 2010.

My order keeps on getting MOVED and MOVED and MOVED. The shipping date, I mean. Its horrible. I tried canceling it, but they won't allow me. I understand their reasons (manufacturer relationship, etc.) but as a customer who was kept on waiting I think I have the right to complain about this bad service. Granted, I have to give some credit to their customer service, who always replies to my e-mails. Thank you for that, at the very least.

Besides that, however, I am very disappointed in this store. The price was extremely inflated to begin with, and they keep customers waiting like this? I only ordered from them because other stores weren't accepting pre-orders for the item any more. And like I said earlier, I had a good experience with YesAsia, so I had trust in them.

It seems now my trust in this store is partially broken.

"My experience with YesAsia.com was awful. I advised everyone to stay away from them. The poorest customer service I've seen ever. I ordered a book and a CD, which were delivered one month late, and the book was not the one I expected!!!! The customer service refused to send me a refund! Such 'no return and no refund' policy has no legal force according to Hong Kong Law. "

"So yesasia.com likes to delete bad customer service reviews in other threads. And their customer service says they have the right to refuse service if the customer does not provide a copy of customer's credit card and credit card statements before doing business with customers.

"I am truly and completely satisfied/happy with my first purchase from YESASIA.com. So, why would I be you may ask? Well, I ordered the Black Rock Shooter figma from their site on the 3rd. I researched about them a little [which is part of the reason I am writing here...] and they seemed really trustworthy and reliable. So, I was told that they would have to process it for a very long time [about 30 days] from their conformation email. I was sad, but I was still exited for my BRS figma. On the 6th, I checked my email and got a surprise that they sent me another email stating that my figma was successfully shipped. I was very ecstatic and blown away. I waited only 8 days from that email [yes, yesterday...] and I had her in my hands after my classes that day. She is 100% authentic, too. Everything was packaged extremely careful [a well-insulated cardboard box, bubble wrap, packaging tape just at the very crucial points on the box, and an invoice of my package] and she came to my house in mint condition. Everything was perfect. And, all the way from their headquarters in Hong Kong to my house in California o_o
So, I will definitely recommend this online store to all of you reading. They definitely live up to their name and policies and kept me up to date whenever they got new information on my order. And the best thing about them, FREE INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. That's what I chose, and I only had to wait 2-3 more days then fast shipping. So, all in all...I am very, very pleased with my first purchase with them and will be buying from them again in the near future.

"I pre-ordered a game four months ahead of time because I knew it would become popular and sell out.
It's been FOUR weeks since the game came out, and I still haven't received it; however,when I check other game websites, those who ordered it the night before on YesAsia and paid for express received it within a week. Seriously?
So YesAsia policy says that after four weeks, an item is lost. I send in an email asking about it and received "We'll send you another shipment." Oh, but wait. I receive another email a few hours later stating that the item is out of stock. First of all, don't SEND me an email saying that I'll get a reshipment if there isn't anything left.
As distraught as I was, I called the company, and they blamed ME for NOT paying for express to get a tracking number? Really now? Putting the blame on the customer who took advantage of their "free shipping?" That's nice. I've ordered from them several times before and received all the items within a week. I'm guessing now they only value customers who pay for express + the tracking number.

Here's what I think happened. Let's say YesAsia orders 10 copies of the game. One of them is mine, so that cuts the number down to 9; HOWEVER, the night before the game it out, person X decides to pre-order and have express shipping added to it. YesAsia will get more money shipping to those with express than those without; therefore, the game sold out -- my package was NEVER sent out and instead it was given to someone else -- U.S. Customs never got it -- USPS never got it. YesAsia, stop blaming it on the customers and post office.

Patience is a virtue. I know that. That's why I didn't want to spend extra money on an already overpriced game to have it shipped to me ASAP. I made a huge mistake waiting for an invisible package. YesAsia, you've lost all my trust, and I will NOT be recommending you to anyone.

"I purchased 4 Mermaid Melody DVD volumes from yesasia.com. 3 of them were shipped a couple weeks later and the one that didn't ship was out of print and was promptly refunded. (these dvds are very very hard to come by, and difficult to find in stock). I was very happy to get 3 out of 4 DVDs. It may have taken them about a month to ship it but it arrived within 5 days of it being shipped. I would buy from them again and would recommend them (for anyone who's buying Japanese anime, the real stuff). 10 out of 10!"

"I have used this store several times when it was in US, but since they moved to Hong Kong, the service has gotten horrible.
They have the decent collection and price for Asian CDs and DVDs, but I haven't received any of my orders. The customer service is the worst ever. They will not do anything unless you keep sending the messages continuously, and they even cancel or reject orders from their sister shop "YesStyle" without notifying you of any explanation.
I'm still working on getting my order since they don't refund the money.
It's so frustrating that they don't seem to care about the customer at all.

I will not recommend this store to anyone.

"Although the products themselves are high quality, their customer service and shipping department has not been good. I ordered many items from this company, and 2 of them had problems in one, the photo card was missing from the limited edition CD, in the other I recieved a completely opened item with a post it note stuck to it saying "Pls repack SKU (then a number) before fulfil." There wasn't even plastic on the CD box!

I complained stating that I paid for a new item, and have no way to verify what contents should have been included with an obviously opened item. They responded with an RMA stating that the original packing was required for return - hello?? I didn't receive any! That's what I complained about! They also claim that they will reimburse return shipping in the form of store credit, but won't pay for a method of return shipping that uses delivery confirmation. That seems REALLY shady to me, especially when I offered to ship via UPS at a price that is LOWER than regular air mail since I can ship from my business.

In the end, product quality (assuming everything is included) is a 10 out of 10, but customer service gets a 3.5 out of 10, and shipping department gets a 2.5 out of ten (at least the items arrived quickly if not completely, including internal company memos).

"Slow and stupid site... Took 2 weeks to find my product, then they said that they would take 2 weeks to ship my product. It's been almost 2 months and I haven't gotten my product. "The website, although not the easiest to naviagate, had a wonderful selection. The problem, like others have said, is shipping. I ordered a wall calendar on 11/20 for a friend's Christmas gift and it just got to him today (12/21). If you have a holiday you want to have an item in time for, give yourself a lot of time. Also, their standard shipping isn't trackable, which really bites since they're based in Hong Kong. They have a great store, but I'll only order from them if I have to.

One thing I've noticed, though, is some of their prices are outrageous. I collect certain dolls, and YesAsia wanted $150 more than my usual website. Unfortunately, I found this out after I placed an order and I am not able to cancel even though it's a preorder that won't be filled in three months. So, be sure to shop around.

"I've been a customer of theirs for years. While their product selections are great. Their shipping prices are ridiculously high. Not only that, once you place the order it takes too long for them to process your order until they are actually shipped out. I think part of the problem with this store is they don't actually stock anything in their inventory. I don't know if they even have one in the states. They seem to order from their suppliers from other countries. When I emailed their customer service about this, they just replied saying they will ship my orders out asap but that's not really solving the real issue. My most recent order I paid extra money so that they would ship the in stock item sooner but that's not what happened. They didn't send anything out until 3 business days after. I wish I live closer to NYC so that I won't have to buy from these people and get ripped off on shippings. These asian cd's and dvd's that they sell online don't even worth half the price in Hong Kong due to piracy. I'm really limiting myself from buying there because of their shipping prices.

Update: I made another purchase against my negative view on this site. This time I paid for the express shipping option. Wow guess what? They shipped my order out I think the very next day. This tells me that they are actually capable of shipping an order out fast ONLY IF you pay the highest shipping option.
