" I purchased a Foxconn motherboard with a mail in rebate, and the next day I purchased a set of OCZ ram with a mail in rebate. The OCZ memory required that the rebate be submitted within 14 days so I sent them in as soon as I received both items.
That was a mistake. The Foxconn motherboard turned out to be DOA and since I had submitted the rebate ZipZoomFly told me it was my problem. The motherboard was only about $35 after the rebate so returning a brand new motherboard to get a refurbished RMA board just doesn't make much sense after paying for shipping.
The ram cost me $130 and was purchased for the Foxconn board but since I submitted the rebate for it I couldn't return it either. I even asked if they would just give me a $30 coupon or credit towards future store purchases, I've spent well over $1,000 with them recently, and they ignored me.
Overall this has been a pretty bad experience. I've been giving ZipZoomFly most of my business over the last two years, and I'm getting ready for a major upgrade. I am really going to have to give some thought to whether I want to continue making the bulk of my computer hardware purchases there. I can't afford to just throw money away. "
