Apparently the board had a bad electronic component and it failed the first time it had power. You could clearly see the place where a capacitor had popped. (As a side note, we ordered another exact MB from a distributor to get the job done and it worked fine in same system. ) We contacted Zipzoomfly for an RMA as the board was brand new. The sent back a message saying the board had PHYSICAL DAMAGE! We wrote back and said, no, it has electronic damage, very common for a new board. Bad solder or bad capacitors happen. They refuse to replace the board. I told them to send it back to me and I will send it to Intel for faster service. This isn't the first time that they have refused to honor an RMA for trumped up reasons. We will never order from them again and I suggest you do the same. Don't get tricked by lower prices, you get terrible service.
