"Occasionally find good deals here."
"DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!! I ordered a Hitachi 2TB HDD that was DOA. According to ZipZoomfly's return instructions I shipped it back to them with insurance at a cost of $10.75. By the time I got a replacement I missed the rebate and was out shipping costs which I had to eat. My good deal was suddenly a bad deal. Good for them! They cheated a loyal customer out of a few bucks. I will no longer do business them - No problem, they have enough customers already, they can afford to lose a few."
"I have had my first problem with Zip Zoom Fly in many years.
I ordered a 2TB Western Digital Hard drive two days ago. I ordered from ZZF because they are the only company that knows how to ship a HD correctly.
When I ordered the item was in stock. They took my order, accepted my choice of two-day shipping and everything seemed just fine.
Today, I noticved I hadn't received a tracking number and so I went to their web site and discovered that the item was backordered. Upon calling, I discovered that they do not have a 'live' inventory. That an item could be designated as 'in stock' and then be out of stock by the time they get the order. That is unacceptable to me.
They did two other things wrong. 1. They did not notify me in any way that the item was back ordered. 2. They charged my credit card for an item they didn't even have in stock.
They obviously do not care about the customer's experience if they maintain policies like this.

"ZipZoomFly is one of my top 5 stores that I check for computer hardware and electronics pricing. Prices are often the best, selection is good, and delivery time and quality have been excellent."
"I purchased items from ZZF in the past and had been quite satisfied with their service. In 3/18/2010 I ordered a Hitachi 1GB internal SATA drive from ZZF, mainly because their price was the best AFTER REBATE.
I followed all the instructions for the rebate, including 'pre-registering'. Bottom line: they promise to send the rebate withing 8-10 weeks. It has been 12 weeks now and no rebate in sight. I called a couple of time but got lame excuses and empty promises: 2 weeks ago they said "you'll get the rebate in 2 weeks"; today they said the exact same thing! When I pressed for more they said they are waiting for approval from ZZF.
I don't know if ZZF is indeed having financial difficulties... if they do, I can see why - they sure lost me as a customer!!

"I am really happy with ZipZoomFly. A fantastic offering of products, at very comparable prices. Service is exceptional and I've NEVER had a problem with any order. You click add to cart, check out, and in a few days it arrives. No fuss at all. Way to go ZipZoomFly...I'm a customer for life."
"I purchased the MASSCOOL 7WA001 Copper Intel/AMD CPU Cooler and I am VERY HAPPY with the product and the service. I CANNOT over - emphasize how gracious, prompt and courteous they are. I live on the East coast and, within ten days, my order was at my door in perfect condition."

When I created my account with ZipZoomFly.com, I wasn't ready to order just yet, but knew I'd be ordering in the new future, and I did. They run some spectacular deals on computer components and other electronics. My order shipped quickly and was well packaged. The price was very good as well, so I'm quite happy with them and their services. I'm currently waiting for a rebate on the item purchased, so don't know how that will work out, but I'm very careful to follow rebate instructions correctly so should be receiving it soon, and will report back if there should be any issues.
Based on my experience with ZipZoomFly.com, I highly recommend them to others.
EDIT: 08/10/10
That's it... I've decided to change my rating for this seller because they clearly don't honor mail-in rebates (see other reviews) that they use to entice customers. It's been almost 4 months since my rebate was submitted and the status always shows only as "being processed". It was only $10, but if they think the rebate is worth them offering and me fooling with, it should be worth them honoring. I'm extremely careful when filling out and applying for rebates, so it was nothing that I did wrong. That said, I'll not buy anything from this reseller ever again, and I highly recommend that others should avoid them.
When and if the rebate should arrive, I'll edit this review once again.
Otherwise, BUYERS BEWARE!! "
"Very good prices on computer equipment. I always ordered from Newegg but this store seems to have better prices."
"UPDATE- 6/25/10
After contacting ZZF again on 6/1/10, I was told that the rebate was ready to be mailed and should expect to receive it soon. Sure enough, i got it by mail on 6/23/10.
Overall, it took 4 and a 1/2 months (approx. 18+ weeks!!!) to receive this rebate. Will I use ZZF again...? Perhaps. But I will sure be avoiding any items which have a rebate attached.
--------------------------------------------------
I ordered a WESTERN DIGITAL Caviar Black WD7501AALS Hard Drive on 1/17/10 mainly because it was a good deal with the $15 rebate offered. Immediately upon receiving the package, I sent out the rebate form with the necessary materials. Velocity Fulfillment, (the rebate processor) sent me a notification on 2/10/10 that they had received my information and the rebate was processing. Concerned about the delay, I called the rebate processor directly in early April, I was told that my paperwork was in order and they were waiting on ZipZoomFly (ZZF) to approve the rebate. The knowledgeable representative explained to me in detail that ZZF was a new customer and thus they had set up a system where ZZF would need to approve the rebates before they contacted Citi (their prepaid debit card issuer) and request the $15 debit card to be sent to me. Satisfied with the answer, I waited until mid-April to contact ZZF directly upon noticing that the rebate status still had not changed. From conversing with ZZF Customer Support, I confirmed that the process outlined by the rebate processor was accurate and was told that they would be approving the rebates within the next 2-3 weeks.
It has been almost 4 months (approx. 16 weeks, far more than the regular 8-10 week wait time) since the rebate processor received my rebate request and IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN FULLFILLED! From reading the reviews below, I do feel that ZZF may be in some financial difficulties. I am sure that this is not an issue on the rebate processor’s end as I have gotten previous rebates fulfilled before without any issue. In fact, I submitted a rebate for a Corsair PSU around the same time (also fulfilled by Velocity) and received that rebate late March.
Frankly, this is unacceptable and I am frustrated at the fact that I have to chase after my OWN money. I guess that is the risk we take with rebates. Over the past 15 years, I must have submitted over 100+ rebates and this is the first time I am having such an issue.
Good luck to all who are in the same situation and I urge you to keep contacting ZZF to try to resolve this issue. I know I will…

"They have completely lost my trust and my business. They're neighbors, only two blocks away, and I used to get items quickly. Now I don't get items at all. I believe they must be in serious financial trouble judging by the huge number of OUT OF STOCK items on their website.
I ordered a Corsair power supply which I needed IMMEDIATELY. The item was shown as IN STOCK on my order. After 2 days with no power supply, I checked the order in my account to get the tracking info. When was it shipped? Never. NSuddenly, it was on backorder with NO ETA. I was never notified about this change to backorder status.
When I called "Customer Service" the day after I placed the order they didn't bother to inform me about this change from imminent to nonexistent hardware.
I complained about this nonsense, and now the order is cancelled. That's their answer? I guess I'm supposed to be content with a corporate apology and a promise to refund my money - when they get around to it.
They do have an acceptable power supply in stock, but they won't substitute it. Complete waste of my time and my customer is not at all happy.
ALSO: Of late, memories with a rebate are routinely OUT OF STOCK. Mysteriously, the memories reappear in stock the day after the rebate expires.
It took them so long to replace a defective power supply I RMA'd to them last year that I lost the rebate - the only reason to order that OCZ power supply in the first place.
If you have lots of time, don't care if you get your item, and want to risk your money, go ahead and order.
Googlegear was a better name anyway."
"First buyer from ZZF. Good price but shipping is a little slow. Ordered on last Saturday & still waiting for delivery on this Thursday (shipped from NoCal to SoCal). Product was on backorder on Monday but website still shows in-stock. I was about to order another one but realizing it's not worth the waiting time since who knows when they gonna update their website.
Overall, price is competitive but shipping time and product availability don't live up to expectation. Not sure it's worth shopping over Buy.com and Newegg (update: received on Thu as expected, product comes as described, everything looks good)"
"Terrible RMA policies and TERRIBLE customer service. Ordered a hard drive, it arrived a week after I ordered it. Installed it a couple days later, and a couple days after that it failed. Contacted zipzoomfly for an RMA, was told they wouldn't honor it because this was day 16 and they only have a 15 day return policy. After countless emails and having to pay return shipping expenses for a DEFECTIVE HARD DRIVE, I finally got a new one, from Western Digital themselves. About 3 weeks after first contacting zipzoomfly, and numerous emails complaining about this policy and the fact that I wasted so much time and additional money to get a working hard drive, they finally offered an exception RMA. It was too late as I had already sent the hard drive off to Western Digital. (I should have mailed them a cinder block with the prepaid shipping label they sent me..) Never received an apology of any sort from anyone in the customer service department for the ludicrous amount of time I wasted sorting this out.
I have been ordering computer parts from Newegg for years. Their customer service department is extraordinary, and their policies are as well. I have received 4 items from Newegg in my lifetime that were either DOA or failed within 30 days, and their RMA process has always been phenomenal, no questions asked. After this experience with zipzoomfly, I have vowed to order EVERY SINGLE computer part from Newegg for the rest of my life, even if I could get the part somewhere else for slightly less $."
"This was a great product. Came on time and fit and worked great."
"Excellent price, packing and service. Asus Xonar D1 Sound card great!"
