"Went to Onesuite site after reading many good reviews. Signed up for ten dollars. Filled in form, credit card info, etc. and clicked submit. Instead of a confirmation page I was told that my credit card was rejected. I immediately called my cc company (Visa) and they told me that I had been charged ten dollars by onesuite. That was over 24 hours ago. I wrote their support department and told them my story. That was over 24 hours ago. So far..no account...no reply to my email...nada..zip..nothing. I am not impressed."

"I have had my first problem with Zip Zoom Fly in many years. I ordered a 2TB Western Digital Hard drive two days ago. I ordered from ZZF because they are the only company that knows how to ship a HD correctly. When I ordered the item was in stock. They took my order, accepted my choice of two-day shipping and everything seemed just fine. Today, I noticved I hadn't received a tracking number and so I went to their web site and discovered that the item was backordered. Upon calling, I discovered that they do not have a 'live' inventory. That an item could be designated as 'in stock' and then be out of stock by the time they get the order. That is unacceptable to me. They did two other things wrong. 1. They did not notify me in any way that the item was back ordered. 2. They charged my credit card for an item they didn't even have in stock. They obviously do not care about the customer's experience if they maintain policies like this."

"This was my first order from Vitacost and my last. For years I have ordered my supplements from IHerb and every order has gone well. Vitacost's prices seemed a little more reasonable and so I thought I would try and order from them. Plus they carried organic grocery items that Iherb didn't carry. On January 19, 2010, I ordered over $800 worth of items. Like another recent reviewer, all items showed as being in stock and so I asked that they all be shipped at once. Everything looked good and I received an order confirmation. Several days went by and instead of receiving a 'shipped' notice, I received a notice that the *entire* order was being held up because some items were out of stock. I called and had no trouble reaching customer service. The lady I spoke with was basically uncaring about the situation. I explained that I was a first-time customer and that I wasn't happy. She said that they would waive the $5.00 shipping fee and ship the items that were in stock. They were shipped on January 26, 7 days after the order was placed. Unfortunately the story didn't end there. Three packages arrived; the two boxes of my stuff and a box full of $139 worth of supplements with an itemized invoice for a customer in Vail Colorado. This was Friday at three Pacific time. I immediately tried to contact the number on their website that claimed 24/7 customer service. Like other reviewers all I got were busy tones. I later found on the web site that they now have customer service hours that end at 6:00pm EST. I tried to contact them via email from their web site but everytime I filled out the form and clicked on send I got a strange browser error pop up. When I clicked on that iw as told that my message had been transmitted successfully. I explained what had happened, left my phone number and asked them to contact me. Twenty four hours later (they promise a 24 hour response)....nada. So I tried to call them on Saturday during their business hours. I got put on hold and with an annoying voice telling me someone would be with me shortly every minute or so. I gave up after 45 minutes. Somewhere in Vail Colorado is a lady missing her $139 order and I'm done trying to reach them. As of now (January 30), there are still some items from the 1/19 order on their way to me. Something is wrong with their customer service and until I start to see reviews here look better, I will be shopping elsewhere."

"Update: One drive was DOA. I don't trust the other drive. Update two: Lagoom's customer service was EXTREMELY helpful. They immediately apologized, promised to look into their shipping methods, and issued me a full credit. I was impressed with their response. I would order again from them (although I would call make sure their shipping was adequate if I was ordering something fragile.) Original Post below: Everything went well with this order for two Western Digital Hard drives until I opened the package and saw how they had been packed. I ordered these specific drives because of their supposed longevity. I am tired of drive failures! Yet I have been reading that most drive failures are caused by poor shipping practices. Lagoom did not ship these fragile drives properly. The two bare drives were rubber banded to each other with a flimsy piece of cardboard between them and a thin layer of SMALL dimpled bubble wrap was around them. Then the drives were simply thrown into a box and shipped via FedEX. There was no indication on the box that this package was fragile. Hard drives ARE extremely fragile and to drop one is to almost certainly ensure its early demise. No hard drive manufacturer will even accept a return without 'retail packaging" which cushions the drive with thick foam or other secure shock-proof packaging."

"These folks were great. They listed the SLACR Intel code in the CPU description so I could be sure that I was getting a G0 steeping. They delivered the item quickly, and kept me informed of the status of the order all along. I would definitely do business with them again."

"Hello, I ordered a ProMagix™ PCX High Performance Home & Office PC on August 13. All of the people I have spoken with, including Scott and Trace have been polite. There is a small problem of many missing manuals in my 'kit'. Specifically there are no manuals or documentation for the Intel Motherboard, the CPU, the graphics card, the ATI TV Wonder Card, the Plextor drive, the RAM, the case, the heat sink fan, or the hard drive. I was told that Velcocity uses mostly retail parts and that I would be shipped all included items (minus the boxes). I spoke to Scott yesterday about this and he is looking into it. He tried to tell me that the retail Intel motherboards shipped without a manual, but that would be ridiculous and the NewEgg page for the same motherboard shows a manual. This is the first system I have not built myself in about 14 years. Before I retired due to a medical disability, I taught students at a local community college how to build and repair computers and prepare for their A+ exams. It's nice for a change to let the building go to others. I researched this company long and hard before choosing them. So far so good. Now I'm just awaiting my manuals. When they arrive I'll update this. Update (Sept 28 2006: Still no manuals. I have called Velocity micro numerous times since my first post here. At least three of the times I called I was told that the retail parts such as the motherboard didn't ship with manuals. When I told them that the Intel site as well as other sites included a manual with their lists of what was in the box, they promised that the manual would be shipped to me along with all the other manuals for my system. I spoke to Trace and he said that he would forward a list of the components that were used to assemble my system to someone who would gather and ship me the manuals. He also promised that she would email me to keep me posted on the progress. That was over three weeks ago and I have heard nada. Today (Sept. 28) I called again, gave my order number and was again told that manuals weren't s part of the retail parts that they used as the manuals were available on the cds that were shipped. I mentioned that I had been promised all the materials (including manuals) that came with the retail parts BEFORE I had purchased the system. I no longer have a good feeling about this company."

These are equal to the quality of components sold in boxes in retail, but are packaged in bulk by their manufacturers. Using this option enables Velocity Micro to keep its costs down and pass the savings on to our customers. Retail-grade components do not have the physical manuals the retail-boxed components do. Instead these manuals are usually included in electronic form on CD or DVD.
