"This purchase was not consumated because after placing an order for a Canon G2 Digital camera, I received an email to call for "order verification", the representative tried to sell additional accessories and said the great price did not include a US warranty. I informed him I only wanted the camera at the price offered, he said he just learned the item was backordered and would not be in stock for 4-6 weeks. This is obviously a scam bunch of lowlifes operating with deceptive business practices. The do not intend to sell at the prices offered unless they can load up the sale and should be investigated and penalized if they cannot deliver."
"This company had the lowest price on mysimon.com for the sony dsc-f707 camera (650 or so) that usually retails for 1000. Yes. It is a grey market deal. I can deal with that. But the staff is incompetant. They tack on a large amount of shipping and "insurance".
So I order my camera with three day shipping, and wait a week or two. Nothing. I try call up a sales agent, wait 30 minutes to talk to someone, finally I get through. *click*. The phone goes dead. So I get stuck waiting another half an hour to get through. The agent asks me if I recieved the email. "What email?" I ask. "The one that states your item was on backorder". Bull. I never recieved anything of the such. He stated that he would get it shipped out RIGHT THAT DAY. What a crock. I called up the next week, to find out why I hadn't recieved the item, only to hear that the items were still on backorder because some of the items shipped "were defective".
I am not very impressed with this company, as you may be able to guess.

For older A&M ratings, they tell a better story.
One note you may also want to consider is that this is the same company (the web pages are the same, just a different color) as
http://www.bwayphoto.com/
Broadway Photo currently has a 2.3 rating, and that's only that high becuase of funny business going on in the voting. (Check the reviews there for more of the wonderful practices.)
Edited to remove problems with order (found out they were related to credit card company.)"
"i called this site on the internet company then on their ad number from p c photo magazine.first call i made, the sellsman said they could not ship overnight-only ground.big flag went up-when i penned him down on the items-pvdv 701 panasonic camcorder-stock status,i was assured they shipped direct from manufacturor-i asked specific arrival date i could expect-and was finally told 21 days.why i asked?takes that long was the response-where are u -i asked?well-he says-we ship from manufacturer direct-japan. i then called back on other number-i was told they could ship overnite as advertised(magazine promises).is the 701 in stock?sure he says.i can ship now.hmm.he trys battery sale-nope-im ok.he says i cant operate without it.why i say-u said it came complete with all standard accesories-sales man says no batterys included, needs his battery-only $199 he says.can you believe these guys."
"I purchased a Sony PD-150a Video Camera for my Business on their website. I soon got a call from the ordering department that goes through the usual bull wanting to sell me additional products. The price of this camera was over $700 below anyone else on the net. So I told the guy I would purchase an additional battery I think, priced at list. He then began to tell me "I needed to purchase the $600 Repair Service from them because the camera was an import and had no Sony warranty." WHAT? This doesn't sound right. Also he said that "the PD150a at this price was also the old one that had the audio problem, but it was a new one" WHAT? Sony has fixed that problem over a year ago. I told him to delete the order and I purchased another one from a reputable dealer. The point here is like alot of the resellers out there, they bait you with the price and then switch the proposed merchandise. I would imagine that they would not have had the camera in stock after all, if I had told the salesman to send me the camera anyway, no repair service, no extra battery. The same salesman told me the day earlier that the VX2000 I purchased only was "the camera body only" not the standard kit that of course the only one Sony sells comes with all the stuff. I just wanted to see if they did this sales on all of their low priced cameras. My advice, Stay farrrrr away from these guys at any price. I didn't hear one believable word from anything they had to say on either of the two sales."
