"The spring mechanism that rides the shades up and down is rather touchy.....it doesn't want to actuate after sitting in one spot for a day or two. Moving the shades up and down seems to ease things up. The topdown/bottom up mechanism seems to be pretty cheap -- I've only had these installed for a few weeks, so I dont know how they will hold up over the long term. They look nice. Let's hope they last."
