"I called IBuyDidgital.com to order the Sony MVC-CD400. My first question was whether they had it in stock. The said yes, and I placed the order. Five days later, they called us at the end of the day to inform us that they oversold the product and will not be getting the camera in. They said that they had a newer version that was more expensive, but they weren't willing to give us a break due to the inconvenience. Then I mentioned that we were purcasing the equipment for a client, and they said that they would not even sell to us if we were buying the product for resale. Never were they apologetic for the trouble that they caused even when we told them that we were in trouble because they had waited so long to notify us. I then asked for a confirmation of the credit to be faxed, and they said that they could not tell us when that could be sent. I will never buy for them again based on they attitude and lack of customer service. "
"Purchased an S400 from this company and was extremely happy with service. Customer Service was very quick with my questions and prices were some of the lowest available."
"Placed order for a Coolpix 5700 on Friday with 2nd day air shipping. Order received on following Wednesday as promised. I placed the order over the web but I did receive phone call asking me to buy extended warranty. No high pressure. When I said no the salesperson wished me a nice day and hung up. Price was great and merchandise was exactly as advertised with no surprises. Would definately buy from this company again. "
" Ordered a Minolta D7i from the webiste. Was called the following Monday and asked for updated info which I gave. I called the next day to see the status on my order and talked to someone who said that my order hadn't shipped because my zip code was input incorrectly. He then (on his own) offered to send the camera next day air at no extra charge due to their error. I had already paid for 2nd day air and was thrilled. Later I noticed that my camera still hadn't changed it's status on the tracking screen and called back and got the same guy. I told him I was worried about it getting next day due to the lateness of the day now. He said he'd remembered me and insisted that he offered no such deal. I reminded him of his words and he argued and demanded that he said no such thing. He did agree that he promised that my shipping would be "upgraded" and I quizzed him on what I could have upgraded to, since I was already at 2nd day. He maintained that even so he couldn't get the camera out that day - perhaps 2 more days. I mentioned how dissappointed I was and he got angry and said that since I wasn't happy with the "upgraded" shipping he was returning it to the original 2nd day. I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor listened to my story and put me on hold several times for long periods while she "checked on things." Finally she came back with a statement that she was sorry but they were out of stock and she couldn't so anything for perhaps 10 days. She was nice and apologetic, but offered nothing for my treatment and in the end I cancelled my order and went with another company that had 400 in stock. VERY BAD experience. I'm sure they are capable of doing well, but this went so badly for me I'll never shop there again, and ask others to do the same."
"excellent delivery time, no high pressure add on sales tactics that I experienced as I shopped around. have recommended to friends already!"
"Central Digital's web sight is awesome. I found what I wanted, paid for it very easily and they even called and offered me a discount on some accessories I forgot that i had wanted. I can't say enough about them. I've made 3 purchases and not had anything but good experiances. I've bought binoculars, cameras and other goodies and have gotton everything in a very short time from when i placed the orders."
"My experience with this company was excellent. I ordered a portable DVD player. They had a great price. It arrived earlier than anticipated. There were no high pressure salesman who tried to talk me into other items. I couldn't find a thing to complain about. The experience was great, and I'd recommend it to a friend in a minute. Keep up the good work. "
"Excellent service. Efficient and a pleasure to deal with."
"Central digital met all my expextations so far as service, delivery and price. I am extremely pleased with the camera I ordered. It was a new camera with a US warranty in the original manufacturers, unopened box just like one I could have bought for a $100 more at Best Buy or any other similar retailer. I will definitely use Central Digital for future purchases. I can't say enough good things about my experience with them."
"cooperative, informative and very helpful with questions we had before the purchase. the shipping time was remarkably fast as well. it took just two day to receive my dvd recorder."
"I bought a cannon s400 digital camera from this company. They were easy to deal with and quick with finishing the transacticon. What more could you want?"
"I bought the coolpix2100 at ibuydigital.com. The price is relatively cheaper than many other place; however, the service was great and the product was delivered promptly. I would recommend my friends and others to check out this site. I used my camera occasionally and it worked perfectly without any problem."
"The company salesperson lied to me about the extended warranty they offered. After many, many phone calls, they agreed it was misrepresented and to credit my charge card for the $69.99. They twice said the credit had been processed, but just hadn't shown up on my statement. After two months I called the credit card company who said no credit had been submitted by Camera Club. They claimed they had touble with their terminals and would send check. Three times they said checks had been sent, and even gave me check numbers. I have called over 25 times since October and have never received my refund. A complaint has now been filed with NY State Consumer Protection. These people blatently lied to me many times. "
"Before placing my order for this Philips DVD Recorder to (www.thecameraclub.com, or www.cameraclub.com) The Camera Club at 1337 Prospect Avenue in Brooklyn NY 11218, I called to "confirm" that this unit did, in fact, come with the "Pronto Remote Control" as they "advertised". (This ad is under the description of the DVDR985A to this date). I was told that it did! On January 22, 2003 I sent The Camera Club a check in the amount of $638.59. I DID NOT RECEIVE MY ORDER UNTIL February 11, 2003, which is very POOR service, by the way! When I opened the package, I discovered that the unit was "used", some cables balled up, or tied up in knots, and the DVD+RW disc was missing. They advertise "We sell only brand new, factory-fresh merchandise"! (This ad is under "Customer Service & Ordering Info" to this date). I called and talked to David (no last name given) about this. I told him if the unit worked OK, to refund me $50.00. He agreed! The next day after hooking up the unit, I found that the unit did "not" work at all. I called David and told him. He asked me what did I want him to do?! I told him to either send me my money back, or to send me a "brand new" recorder to arrive the next day, and a refund of $38.59 because I could have purchased the same unit elsewhere cheaper without a "Pronto Remote Control"! David agreed and told me he would get the new unit out that day, and that my refund will go out in a few days. This oral agreement took place on February 12, 2003. It took two (2) days to get the recorder. It has been almost a month now since David and I first talked. I have "not" received my refund. On February 24, 2003 I called and talked to Michael who say David was not available, but he would have him return my call. He never did! On March 2, 2003 I sent both Marc & Sam Zaks an e-mail regarding this problem. No response from either one of them to date! They are still advertising this recorder as having a "Pronto" remote control, plus they have a site that is advertising this unit $71.00 cheaper. Therefore, I am looking for a Pronto "and" a $71.00 refund!!!
This so-called company has eleven (13) URL's that "I" know of!!! (DO NOT BUY FROM THESE "CROOKS"! THEY ARE BAD NEWS).
They are as follows.
1)http://www.cameraclub.com
2)http://www.cameraclub.net
3)http://www.thecameraclub.com
4)http://www.thecameraclub.net
5)http://www.the-camera-club.com
6)http://www.the-camera-club.net
7)http://thecameraclub.com
8)http://thecameraclub.net
9)http://the-camera-club.com
10)http://the-camera-club.net
11)http://cameraclub.net
12)http://www.thecameraclub.org
13)http://cameraclub.ws
Also watch out for these URL's:
1)http://www.thecameraclub.biz
2)http://www.thecameraclub.info
What legal company needs all these URL's???
I have also found five (5) more addresses for this so-called company! They are 252 Conover Street, Suite 900 in Brooklyn NY 11231, 1200 East 18th Street in Brooklyn NY 11230, 1510 Avenue N in Brooklyn NY 11230, 1 North End Avenue, Suite 1201 in New York NY 10282, and 2203 Avenue U in Brooklyn NY 11229. As you can see, these guys have been pretty busy being up to "NO GOOD"!!!
These people make a "very" small amount of customers happy to make it appear that the "dissatisfied" ones are just grumbling about their purchase, or some small aspect regarding the transaction. This is only a tactic to throw "some" people off of their trail(s) as to what they are really up to, which is up to "NO GOOD"!!! The company is a "SCAM", and Sam & Marc Zaks are "scam artists". But they are "not" professionals. Last Friday, 05/23/03, all of their numerous URL's disappeared from the "net", except one (1). This one, www.cameraclub.com, is under "New Management". Imagine that. A new manager. What this so-called company needs is a new president, CEO, and owner. Better yet, they need to get off of the "web" with their b___s___!
The Camera Club, Inc. has filed a "bankruptcy". "All" the URL's that they had are "off" of the internet, except for one which is www.cameraclub.com!!! This one is "under new management", but it is still owned by the same "crooks", the Zaks! SO BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!
This so-called company has just recently entered a new address of 252 Conover Street in Brooklyn NY 11231 with the Better Business Bureau. The manager from a company called "dbuys" at www.dbuys.com is the "New Manager" of The Camera Club, Inc., but the same "crooks", the Zaks, still own the business.
UPDATE:
There are "no" Camera Club URL's to be found on the internet presently! But what "is" on the internet is www.dbuys.com "and" www.ibuydigital.com. These two (2) so-called companies are under an "umbrella" company called Central Digital, Inc. This company has an unsatisfactory record with the BBB. BEWARE OF THEM ALSO!!!"
"I used pricegrabber.com to find the lowest price on a Canon powershot G3, Ibuydigital was among the lowest, and it also had high vendor ratings. So far I am very happy with the order."
