"Great service, easy to use and a quick return on your money. Thanks. This was a great experience."
"My experience in selling my used iPhone 5c after sending it to them was a disaster. They acknowledged receiving it and never heard from them again until I sent an email asking what was taking so long. They replied my phone was locked and they couldn't evaluate it. Why didn't they tell me that right away? They told me how to release it from my ICloud and I followed their directions and told them it was unlocked. No response. This went on two more times after that and finally when I enquirer again, they told me that the time allowed for evaluation had expired and they were going to destroy the phone. No offer to send it back. They claim it's part of the agreement. What a bunch of bull. After waiting so long I checked out their reviews by other customers and found I was not alone. Many others have had same experience. They are a ripoff company. Don't send them anything. I wrote to them and told them I was going to write this review and let others know about their horrible customer relations. "
"Scanning the items and selling them was so easy and in a few or two I received my check in the mail. I couldn't be happier! It is so easy to sell stuff on here :)"
"I have almost 1000 DVDs that I have no use for -- I stream it all now! Decluttr is making the process painless to dump these and get paid for them, even very obscure titles! Free shipping!"
"I've used Gazelle in the past thinking that they were the only and best game but n town when it came down to selling your old mobile equipment. I admit that I'm didn't look very far or hard to see it f there were other companies offering this much needed service. Other than Craigslist there wasn't much choice. But Decluttr had come along and blown them right out of the water. I was able to get rid of unwanted CDs and DVDs and my iPhone 6.
The process was fast with their mobile scan tool and the price queen for the phone was 70 bucks more than the other guys.
Had my check in 10 days from the day I shipped everything in the pre-paid UPS labeled box.
Great stuff!
Keep up the good work!

"Know the condition of your products before you send them in and you'll be satisfied. I sold 9 of my company's phones to decluttr in 3 different orders. The first and smallest order I received with no problem. The second order was 18 days from the time they received it until the time I got my money because a phone was locked (still on someones iCloud account). The third order also had a locked phone, but I was able to find the owner who unlocked it, but the tech department took a long time to verify the status. After 10 days with no update, I made 2 calls in as many days. They were very friendly but less helpful. Both times, they told me that they would have the order resolved by the end of the day. Luckily they came through the second time because it was getting close to the cut-off date where they absorb your stuff (make sure you know their 28 day policy!). I gave them 4 stars because they came through in the end - 24 days later."
"I sent in a bunch of stuff that I could not trade in to Amazon or Gamestop. In that box I included two rare DVD sets that I no longer needed because they had been rereleased on blu-ray. I could've sold them myself for much more online but I couldn't be bothered to do it and figured decluttr's offer of around $10 was great. I sent my package in and most everything checked out. They marked one item as having damaged artwork, which I know wasn't true, and then marked both of my sets as having missing discs so I was denied what they had offered. I contacted their support and explained this was an error and could they please check it out. Their support seems to be ran by one person, whom I suspect barely speaks English based on the repeated canned responses they sent me.
The first response repeated that payment would only be given on satisfactory items and listed the items that were "unsatisfactory" which included a couple I hadn't sent in because Gamestop accepted them. I then sent a longer, more detailed response explaining that the items I sent were not missing anything, the packaging would have verified this, but that the disc trays had extra slots available. I included a link to the page where I had purchased them from which contained pictures as proof. I waited four days with no response, so I sent another simply asking if anyone would respond to my inquiry. Again, the support person responded to point out which items were rejected. I called them out on having not reading my previous, lengthy inquiry and they responded once more with: Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, when we received the items they were missing the disc. That is why the items were rejected. We apologize for the inconvenience.
At this point I lost my patience and wrote an even lengthier email, politely explaining everything and including links to prove my point. Four days went by with no response. I then sent another reply to them to tell them how terrible their customer service was and ask why they couldn't reconsider this because they were clearly incorrect. Four more days without a response so I asked them simply why they weren't answering me. What did I get? This: Payment will only be issued for the items that meet the standards in our quality assessment. As per our terms and conditions, agreed to at the point of sale, any items rejected cannot be returned and are recycled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
I ended up calling their number and getting in contact with someone. I explained the situation to them, they told me they would talk to someone in the warehouse and see if they could have a check sent to me since they couldn't do another Paypal deposit. I said that was fine, they said they would email me in 24 hours. That email never came and I never heard from them after. This was on March 2nd.
My final review? If you've got a bunch of old things you no longer want that simply can't go anywhere else and you're not worried about getting money for, which was how I felt about all other items I sent in, then they aren't a bad service. But if you've got something rare and they're promising a larger chunk for it than anywhere else to do the work, don't rely on them because they seem to do that just for the sake of getting your stuff sent in. My items, which included a 2 disc DVD set and a 3 disc DVD set that were both clearly labeled as such on the back, got marked down as having missing discs for having additional disc slots in the package. When I insisted on getting them back due to their rarity their response was basically "we can't give them back, they're destroyed or recycled now." I think that's a bunch of lies. I wouldn't be surprised if they kept the DVDs for their rarity and are now trying to sell them to someone else. Especially after the realization that they weren't missing discs."
"I sent my items to decluttr for payment. I did this previously and received payment so I decided to do it again. I am cleaning out old DVDs. Well they did receive my package yet I never received payment. I tried to contact them repetitively and never received a response. FInally I contacted the BBB. Decluttr told BBB they emailed me back and that they did try to deposit the funds via my paypal account but Paypal rejected it.? no idea what they are talking about because I checked my Paypal account and all was good. I never received an email from them either. SO they are total liars!
I suggest you stay away from them unless you want to just give your stuff away for free.
horrible customer service! "
"I've sent 2 orders to Decluttr and they've shorted me on money both times. I'm in the process of transitioning all my DVDs to digital so I've been selling all my movies. In my first order, there were a bunch of new unopened DVDs mixed in amongst opened ones. For every single new unopened disc, they counted it as "not received", so I didn't get paid for those. I sent an email asking them to please check again because every single item they listed as "not received" as a brand new, still wrapped item. I did not get a response back. The second time, I made sure to unwrap all new discs before sending them off. On my second order, they shorted me money on two discs that had the barcode insert on the inside. Due to the design of the DVD packaging, the barcodes were on the inside cover of the jacket. Decluttr considered those discs unsellable because they called them "promo" copies, which was absolutely untrue. They weren't promo copies. Their inspection team is just plain lazy and you won't get paid for your items unless the barcodes are in the typical spot on the dust cover. Don't expect them to open anything up or expend a second looking for a barcode. I'm so glad I've gotten rid of all my discs. I'm done with Decluttr. "
"Avoid these scammers, they don`t pay for your items, they say on their page that they pay you fast the same day they receive the items this is a big lie, they don't pay you, be careful don't give for free your items to this liars"
"Completed an order to sell an iPhone 6 for $162.50 and mailed the item exactly as described in that order (iPhone 6, 128 MB, poor condition, unlocked - based on the fields available on the website) on 12/29/16. Received delivery confirmation from shipping provider that the item was delivered on 1/3/17. Received only $33 via PayPal with no explanation for the difference from the quoted price. Repeated attempts to contact the company have gone unanswered. Submitted inquiries via the online form on the website on 1/9/17 and 1/18/17. Sent emails to all the listed addresses on the website, as well as, the email address associated with the PayPal payment on 1/9/17, 1/18/17 and 1/31/17. Called the number listed on the website, which no one answered and did not provide an option to leave a message (just kept ringing) on 1/31/17.
According the Payment Promise on the website Decluttr.com will "pay the full amount we offer for your Tech or return them for FREE". I did not receive any return of my item.
Further, the website states "In some rare cases, however, we have to revise our offer after our quality assessment process due to the item differing from the description initially provided. If this happens with your order, we'll send an email with our revised offer price. You can then choose to accept our new offer or request your items back for FREE - no questions asked. Just ask us to send it back and we'll return it to the address associated with your account!" First, the item was provided as described in the order and second, I did not receive an email with a revised offer price. I have received no communication whatsoever.
"
"I have sent them 4 boxes and EVERY SINGLE TIME, they have shorted me money saying several items were not included, which they were (I took pictures of the box so I know the stuff in there). The last order they said they didn't receive until I sent them the UPS confirmation then they "found" the box (which UPS said they had already had for 2 days) but said none of the items were in it. I know the items were there, some were like new, with labels and packaging still on them. This company is not ethical and cheats you out of your stuff, then doesn't pay for them. Avoid them at all costs. "
"I sold DVDs to them. When I sent my box of DVDs they told me some of the DVD's were not in there. I asked them immediately to check again. After back and forth for over a week in which they never answered my question, they told me "due to the time span your box has already been disgarded(sp?)" which would not have happened if this was taken care of immediately. It is not about the money but I would let everyone know expect to "lose" some DVD's or other items if you send multiple in. NOT a good business practice"
"I sent an IPhone 5C to Decluttr and received an email on November 14, 2016 that my phone was locked. I immediately unlocked the phone and was told that the phone would be sent for retesting. On November 23, I again received an email stating that my phone quoted at $69.00 had an Apple ID Password and I was asked to provide this-I did this within 5 minutes of receiving this email. Today, December 12, 2016 I received an email stating that their offer is $8.00 because the Burn Screen/LCD. I find this to be a big bait and switch as my phone was in great condition when it was sent to them. I have used Gazelle in the past and really wish I had done so with this phone. Declutter is a total fraud and rip off-please beware of their bait and switch tactics as they are unscrupulous."
"sent in my Iphone 5 that had never been used outside of an Otterbox or Lifeproof case, not a mark on it, was quoted $85. they said the condition was not what was stated and offered $15, complete BS, don't sell to them!"
