"They start by offering you about .50 per item, then after you have committed to typing in and getting ripped off, they start offering you lower amounts like .30 cents. It goes all the way down to .05 cents. It's a total scam. Oh and I would recommend if you do use these folks to get ripped off, to request a check because if you select PayPal (which is obviously what they want you to do) you will get paid even less than quotes. I won't use them again. Stay away!"

"The Decluttr app itself is very user friendly and the scan option was great but my rating is for the business as after I followed all their instructions and sent in a very large box of books and dvds, I never received payment.

I called customer service and they told me my check was cashed by someone different than who the check was made out to -me- (???) and that they would follow up with their bank. It's been over two months since I mailed in my items and I'm feeling very disappointed with this entire service. I definitely won't be using them again.

I would not recommend using Decluttr and instead suggest giving your items to a Salvation Army or Housing Works (if you're in NYC). "

"While I didn't receive much for the DVDs I sent to decluttr.com, there is something amazing to be said for the pile of 25 DVDs that are no longer sitting in my house in a pile. Better to get them out of my home and get some money for them. The process was super easy for packaging and mailing them. I just had to print a free shipping label, tape it on the box, and drop it off. Got my check in the mail and all done! "
