"I had the battery for a T20 for about 5 months when the case separated (poor choice of adhesives to re-seal it) and it stopped working. In response to 3 emails, I finally got a phone number. After repeated calls and messages with no response, I finally gave up on these guys. Once the sale is made, they are invisible."
"eBattery / BatteryRefill.com appears to be a fraudulent supplier. I purchased replacement laptop batteries in October. My credit card was charged Oct 25th. I received email notice from company Nov 2 saying old batteries were received at plant, but no timetable for shipment of what I had been already charged. Company telephone numbers had been disconnected, then later re-connected. I was told Nov 11th that order would be filled over the weekend. It is now Nov 28 and the company phone go unanswered."
"I ordered an HP F4809. They sent a battery that did not fit in my laptop because they had cut open, rebuilt it, and tried to seal it with silicone caulk. The caulk was to bulky and there were unfilled holes in the casing. It would not accept or hold a charge. I called, was promised a refund and that they would email me a shipping label. they never did. Subsequent calls to their 1-800 went unanswered. Their corporate phone is disconnected. "
"After billing me for $80 about 4 weeks ago, I had not heard from the company since: No shipping instructions or pre-paid mailer, no responses to emails or phone calls. Their 909 numbers are bogus too, even the ones they give the credit card companies.
Ordinarily, I won't complain if the company fails to follow through with the transaction, IF they had not billed me, but this is outright theft. For those who have a similar experience to mine, the FTC has these instructions: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/billed.htm
Pity though, since they had a good review from a trusted member of a laptop forum I peruse."
"Update 5/12/05 :

sent known good battery from my sony vaio for "exchange" called may 2 was told battery would ship o/a may 5th called may 9th they told me that "new cells had just cleared customs and that they would ship on the 10th" PROMISING me the usps number by phone and e-mail....nothing on the 10th or 11th..... i am calling visa security as i think that i've been scammed out of a good 2 year old vaio battery. might even check with postal authorities vis a vis fraud and/or using the mails for theft."
"Made order on Jan 29 and sent out battery using the pre-paid postage label on Feb 4, to recharge a Northgate (Mitac) 8060B notebook, Sanyo brand battery. I sent four emails since the Feb 15 with no response and attempted to call the support number but received a busy signal every time. They advertise a turn around time of a week, but it has been a month already. Finally I received the battery on Mar 02. The battery was returned in a cardboard envelope in bubblewrap with draining/charging instructions. The battery works fine after going through the drain/charge cycle three times, and even holds a longer charge (almost a hour longer)."
"Placed order on Feb. 1st, 2005. Still have not received replacement battery for my ThinkPad T20 after waiting 1 month. Have sent 2 emails asking for order status and no response. Phoned several times and only able to reach machine. Will file dispute with credit card company soon.
Update (3/12), Have filed dispute with credit card company and given conditional credit. Still no response whatsoever from seller. This doesn't look good...
Update (3/14), Received battery via USPS Flat Rate Envelope today. Battery was placed within bubble wrap and envelope was both crushed and ripped. Received letter that states, "After sending us your battery, we found your circuit to be in dead conditon. You then either upgraded, if there was an option, or we credited your purchase price. Enclosed is the battery containing the dead circuit that we could not recover..." I photocopied the face of my battery before mailing, so that I could verify the battery was actually different upon return receipt (visible SN#). However, the seller placed a large and very sticky white mailing label, marked it DEAD in red letters, ON TOP OF MY SERIAL NUMBER. Upon trying to peal off the label, it in turn pealed off the serial underneath, regardless how gentle I pulled. I can not verify if my original battery was return, for all I know, they kept my battery and sent me a junk one instead. The net result: wasted 45 days, for them to say that my battery is not rechargeable and then returned "my" battery in a crushed envelope - I could imagine their response if I sent the battery initially in an envelope! STAY CLEAR of this company - it's not worth the hassle."
"I ordered a refill of my Thinkpad battery and sent it out 12/28. I didn't hear from them at all. I sent another email 1/11. I still got no response. I called 2x and both times the answering machine assured my a response in 48 hours. No response. I received my battery but it doesn't hold a charge at all but the laptop says its charged. I sent 2 more emails asking for help and received no response. Today I asked for a credit."
