"I ordered a Kohler bathroom fixture from eComfort.com and unbeknown to us, the item was shattered some time during shipment. We were not home, so a friend accepted the heavily shrink-wrapped pallet. She said the delivery crew didn't want to carry the 150 pound fixture to the house, but wanted to leave it curbside. They eventually agreed to bring it to the door, but did not inform her that the package needed to be fully inspected prior to signing for it. And frankly, the driver wasn't willing to stay to do so anyway, so there was no way to fulfil this unspoken requirement. eComfort won't replace the Kohler bathroom fixture, saying it's the shippers fault (Custom Company, www.customco.com),and the shipper won't pay for it because of the neighbor's signature. So now I'm stuck with 150 pounds of shattered porcelain trash on my doorstep, no one to remove it, no refund, and no replacement. Unfair treatment to a well deserving customer deserves a report to the Consumer Protection Agency. Buyer beware. Zero stars from me for this completely frustrating and unfair transaction."
