I see that many people are complaining about the HIS ATI 4870 card screw-up. This was NOT a bait and switch. It was a mistake on the part of the company. They meant to advertise the 4850, which is a cheaper card. Once the pricing error was found, it was corrected and orders were cancelled. Customers were notified of the OBVIOUS MISTAKE. Anybody complaining about this obviously saw a too-good-to-be-true price and somehow thought they were ripped off because they didn't get a ridiculous deal. Businesses make mistakes, just like people! They shouldn't have to eat the cost of the mistake just to give you a video card for below cost! GROW UP! The opinions of people who think they deserve something for nothing should not influence your buying decisions."

"Awful, Awful experience. They lied to me and shafted me for $700.
Before purchasing the Synology Cubestation and 4 Seagate 1TB drives to go with it, I asked Jerry, a customer service rep:
"If I hook this up, and it doesn't work, streaming video over my network, will you take it back."
He said
"Yes, If the product doesn't perform, it is considered defective or misadvertised and therefore returnable."
I submitted my order. Big mistake. Thanks Jerry.
Well when it arrived, I hooked it up, installed the 4 drives, and... 2 drives weren't recognized! After 4 hours of back and forth with a Synology tech, he finally tells me, "these drives aren't supported for this device."
And how was I supposed to know that? On the product page it says it supports SATA drives up to 1 TB. There are no written restrictions.
So I call Jerry and ask him to do the right thing, and take back the drives, and send me ones which will work with my Cubestation, which happen to be cheaper. I told him I'd even eat the cost difference between the drives.
To Jerry's credit, he agreed with me that I "was right" to have believed that it would work, and he even seems to care about helping me, or at least about making good on his word.
BUT NO. They will not accept the drives back. So I spent $700.00 f**king dollars for something that doesn't work.

in response to their response, please don't trust this attitude of "we'll take another look." I spent 2 days talking to these people, back and forth with RMA, talking to Jerry's manager - and they will not do the right thing here.
They promised that what they shipped me would work. I set it up and it didn't work. They agreed it should work, they even told me I could return it, then changed their minds and told me no go. Their line about compatibility is just another way to say "f@#k you customer, you're out $700."
