"I found a good price on quality RAM for my Inspiron 6000 laptop at eWiz. The eWiz website has a no-nonsense approach to listing the items for sale. I like the ability to filter search results down to the specific parts you need. The pair of 1G RAM modules that I purchased were well packaged for shipping and arrived in good condition. The least expensive shipping option was over $9 and that took over a week to arrive. That's my only complaint. For that shipping cost I'd expect faster delivery. But if there were a significantly cheaper shipping option, I would be content to wait over a week.
