"Despite their high rating for customer service, I find that emailing their sales staff with questions about products is all but useless. They didn't respond to my query withing three days and when I wrote them to bring this to their attention, I received an automated reply stating that it would take 48 hours for them to get back to me although they "usually respond within 24 hours". Unresponsiveness is a big negative to someone like me who spends hundreds of thousands of dollars a year for online products. Be careful with these guys."
"Horrible Experience. I ordered a laptop from them because they had a really good price. there was an issue with verifying my credit card. I didnt find this out until the next day when I had to call in to make sure everything was ok. they took my number down and said they will have the verification dept. contact me withing 15 min. i waited an hour and no phone call. i called back and they gave me the same answer...they said they will have someone call me back within 15 min. so i agreed. I waited 2 hours and no phone call. by then, it was the end of the day...so i called back the next day to cancel my order because i didn't feel i could trust the company. when i called in to cancel, they transferred me to someone who upgraded my order to more memory, 4 years warranty and a laptop bag. it was a good deal so I figured i would give them one more shot. they promised i would have the laptop on Oct. 26th (2 days) and that i would receive a tracking number through email before the end of business day or via phone. I received nothing. I called them the next day to cancel my order and the customer service rep. said he would have someone call me the next day by 10am. I demanded to speak to a manager but he said there is no one else to talk to. (he was very hard to understand and had no customer service skills whatsoever...his name was morris or boris. not sure) so today (oct. 26th...the day i was to receive the computer) i am expecting a phone call by 10am. i received no phone call...so i called them. the gentlemen was more helpful in the way that i was able to cancel my order. he said there was a hold up of some sort and i was supposed to be contacted. he said i would not get the laptop until next week!! I can't put all of my work on hold, so i cancelled the order and will be buying from a more reliable and trustworthy source. he said he would put a $100 credit on my account if i wanted to buy anything from them again. That won't be happening. Be careful with this company.

"The in-stock item shipped faster than I paid for; i.e., next-day air instead of ground. I ordered around 10am, and had it the next morning. Still waiting for something I ordered from another company 2 weeks ago."
"I bought a Macbook from this site. I have not even received the computer yet, and already my Capital One card has had fraudulent charges on it, to ebay, to "microsoft online services," and to autoblue.co.uk (an automobile purchase site). Even if the computer gets here in one piece, I would advise anyone to avoid this company.
EDIT 8/2/07: I have to say, when I contacted them over the telephone to buy a RAM upgrade card, they were friendly and knowledgeable; and they upgraded my RAM for me. I received my MacBook Pro promptly. Everything was in mint condition at an excellent price.
This is, however, the second time I have been the victim of identity theft after online purchase of electronics from a New York-based e-seller, after speaking with an employee of the company on the telephone. I hate to be paranoid, but what else am I supposed to think?"
"Totally Awesome!! I ordered my notebook on Tuesday and received it on Thursday with FREE shipping! They had a great price too. All on-line shopping should be this easy!"
"There are some things you need to know about this company and that's "very poor customer support." and they "WON'T go the extra mile to make things right."
I had ordered a $2000 Sony Vaio from Ecom Electronics. When I opened the box to investigate the product, I noticed that the LCD was damaged and on top of that, they sent me a port replicator that the box looked as if it was dropped. I called them and left a message and as you can guess, nobody called me back and of course, I had to call again.
I was more than willing to work with the company for an exchange but then they informed me that since there wasn't any "physical" damage(even sent them digital pictures to show them the condition they arrived in), that they wouldn't take it back and i would have to deal with Sony directly. Now that's customer service.. Funny how they'll sell and send you defective products but won't take any responsibility for it.
I feel this entire situation could have been avoided if they would have done something instead of nothing. We're only one small mill that supports about 300 pc's but our corporation is worldwide. To bad for them i guess.. We will definately not have them as a vendor for any future purchases. Buy at own risk.."
