"I ordered a new hitch for my car. It arrived damaged because of improper packing techniques. They made excuses for it. Offered me a messily $15 for some paint. I said no, I’d like to return the hitch, and I’ll give you guys another chance, send me another, but this time do a better packing job. The second hitch was packaged the same as the first and arrived even more banged up than the first one I ordered. I’ll never order another product from this company again. A $15 credit is insulting. That barely covers the paint let alone my time, which is worth over $100 an hr. So I sent back both hitches. And ordered one directly from Torklift. And it came packaged well, and not damaged. I should sue them for the time I spent repacking and hauling both hitches back to UPS. "

"I ordered a kit for 3 roof bars on 9/19, with confirmation that it shipped 9/21. Nothing indicated that it wasn't the complete order. On 9/30 I emailed that I was still missing some of the components, and received an email telling me that I'd have to reorder them. After a phone call to clarify that eTrailer had just failed to ship 4 boxes of components for the kit, I was informed that they were shipping the rest. It took another 10 days to complete the order--3 weeks after the order, and 2 weeks after the delivery date given when I placed the order.
Order fulfillment was unsatisfactory. The email response indicating that I didn't order the right parts (I didn't configure the kit, the website did) and that I was going to have to pay more to get it all was very frustrating; the fact that I had to call to get you to recognize and correct your errors was poor customer service. "
"Trailer was not too hard to put on and so far is working very well. Took me around 3 hours to put on but someone more mechanically inclined with the right tools probably could put it on in no more than an hour. We have already used it to take a boat to the lake. I was very pleased with the product "

"Took me an afternoon, not the 30 minutes suggested to install, but I don’t do this every week or every year and each vehicle has its own issues. There is clarity to instructions, but without two people or support for one, installer will usually have to resort to some makeshift support system as unit is aligned for threaded bolts. It’s a straight forward install. Works as expected; looks good. Very pleased. "
"its been 50/50 on ordering parts from here. sometimes i have decent experiences and get the parts on time. sometimes its delayed or marked in stock online but backordered and not notified until i check status update. this time i ordered in-stock parts and ordered Overnight at expedited cost early in the morning. checked delivery time online next day and shows order processed and not shipped yet. assuming it was just a delay in the website. contacted Etrailer and was told it had not shipped yet. asked why not and explained i needed it today and the rep stated they do not do same day delivery. i explained i ordered yesterday for next day and rep just did not understand and kept telling me they do not do same day delivery. rep asked if i wanted to continue with the order or cancel. i asked if i will get my money back if i keep the order and rep stated once delivery has been made i will be refunded the expedited shipping. i asked what discount they would offer since it was etrailer at fault for either false info for next day delivery or they did not get the part shipped out in time. rep stated they do not give out discounts even though they faulted on their end. i cancelled my order and ordered from elsewhere which also saved me money on shipping as well as the part was same brand at lower cost out the door. i will still plan on making purchases from etrailer but not anything i need in a timely manner."
