"I research about fumfie before I purchased from them. At the time I was shopping for a Panasonic LX7 and I searched on "Bing shopping" which listed them as one of the merchants. Everyone before Thanksgiving was selling this camera for $450+, almost close to the MSRP. Fumfie was the only one selling it for $349.95 with the a starter package (which I could care less about) and free shipping (7-10 business days). The price was definitely attractive and I researched and read a lot of reviews before I decided to "pull the trigger"-so to speak. I consider myself to be a savvy online shopper and I've definitely purchased from much more shady sites with worse reviews than fumfie and came away from those purchases with a decent experience compared to others. Fumfie, I'm sad to say, was not what I expected despite all the research I did.

After placing the order for the camera, the order confirmation on the bottom says the following: please call 1-***-***-**** Ext: 318 to verify information. I called them and was prepared to be bombarded with additional "promotional offers" which I read in many reviews. First off I'd like take the time now to say that their staff is composed of very diverse range of people. I called them 4 times inquiring about the order and this is what I can gather from the 4 individuals who helped me in chronological order

1) This call was to "verify" my information and after bouncing around from representative to representative (I counted 6, almost felt like musical chairs), the person I finally reached tried to sell me a 4gb sd card AFTER I told him I have a 128gb sdxc and that I'm set on memory... and then he tried to sell me both a teleconverter and a wide angle converter (both of which are not compatible with my camera specifically... not like I was interested to begin with). He said because I waited so long to get a hold of the customer service representative that he can make it up to me by offering me the latter two products individually for $30 (BS). This particular person was extremely pushy and after rejecting all 3 trash he offered me, he hung up on me unexpectedly. What exactly did they verify? I thought the point was to verify my purchase
2) After 6 days, I called and got a hold of the second guy. He was really friendly and took the time (I was on hold for 3min while he looked it up) to look up my order and told me truthfully where my order stands. He said the package is on its way to the fulfillment center and it should take 2-3 more days. At this point I was confused as to how long it would actually take for me to receive my camera (it takes 8-9 business days just to have a camera that was presumably "in stock" to be shipped out)
3) I called an hour later thinking to cancel my order and this third guy LIED to me and said "it's already packed and ready to be sent out, it's just waiting to be labeled". In which case I thought it was too late to cancel.
4) Having not received a tracking number, I called the following morning and the fourth and final person (very friendly) looked up my order and told me it's still on its way to the fulfillment center. In which I told him I expected the item 7-10 business day from order date and not 10 days on top of the 7-10 business days. I asked him if I could cancel without the 8% cancellation fee and he agreed.

I want to take the time to say that some customer service representatives are very gracious and friendly but some are just plain rude and misleading. People who are reading this review need to know about the 8% cancellation fee after they charge your credit card (they charge CC way before they ship vs other reputable merchants do pending charges until they actually ship the item)

========= Update 12-03-2012 =========

I got a call from Henry today and he wanted to know why the order was canceled and how they can improve. I gave them my 2 cents and explained the situation (not entirely their fault). Anytime a company takes the time and reaches out to their unsatisfied customer like this, I feel like they deserve a second chance. He's also sending me a spare battery on the house for the hassle this order caused which is really generous of them. In no way at any point in time did I think this company was out to scam people - I just had problem with 2 of the 4 customer service representatives and if I had time to wait out the order, I would've. With this said, I'm updating my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars based on the fact that they care about their customers, even ones that were not satisfied.

Would I shop from them again? Yes but not a peak season

"These folks took care of me! I had an issue with my camara purchase that was my fault and they worked with me on it. The end result was better than I thought it would be. Bottom line is I will use them in the future and will recommend them to my friends. Anyone can sell me a camara but the after sale service is what counts."

"Jack at extension 311 was fantastic! I noticed that the e-mails from the company mysteriously made their way to my trash folder in G-Mail. I was told by a company representative that the business is Jewish-owned and so their call center is not always open. I never received my shipping statement. When a company representative called me after I posted this message, he verified that they had not even shipped the product a week after I was told that it was "being shipped." So, I cancelled the order."

"I am not sure what business fumfie is in. It is not selling goods to customers. I ordered a Canon Vixia camera online on 11/15. I got an email saying that I should call them "To ensure your order ships in a timely manner please contact Fumfie.com at 1-***-***-**** Ext: 318." The email said they tried to reach me but I never saw a missed call on my desk or cell phone. So I called on 11/20. I talked to a gentleman by the name Simon after holding for a 10-15 minutes. He transferred me to a rep named Marc and was put on hold for another 25 minutes or so. I got tired and hang up. Mind you, I have paid for the item, they have my shipping address and I did not see any reason for this exercise. So later in the day and called again, got to Simon again and I told him to cancel my order. He apologized and said they just opened after Sandy and they are swamped but if I give him my number they will surely call me back. So I gave him my number. No call the rest of Monday and Tuesday. So I called again on Tuesday and I was able to reach Marc through Simon again. He took my order and put me on hold. After 10 or so minutes he came back and said "how can I help you?". I am getting irritated now - I told him he just took my order number and he just had me on hold. I think he was counting that I would hang up. Frustrated, I asked him to cancel my order. He said he will cancel my order "per my request." Yeah, my request - they virtually forced me to. I have shopped online for years now and I have never experienced such thing. Awful!!!!

Update on 11/21. Today a gentleman called me and apologized for my experience and offered if he can process my order. I obliged. He said my order will take between 7-10 days. I have improved my rating after this. But we will see if I get my order.

Update on 12/9. I have received my order about ten days ago. The product came brand new with everything that I wanted. I appreciate the effort. So Fumfie delivered but I will still keep them at 3 stars.

"Do NOT use this company. They will scam you into spending more then make your life hell if you try to get your money back. Don't be fooled by low prices! The website promises hassle free returns but that couldn't be farther from the truth!

I ordered a camera and like other buyers was asked to call and confirm my address. Then I was asked to purchase multiple other items. I elected to buy one or two then later changed my mind. When I called back to get authorization to return them it was impossible to get someone on the phone. When I finally did, I kept having to wait for a manager to get on the phone who would just take a message and never got back to me. After several aggressive phone calls on my part I was able to get authorization and was able to return my items with a 15% restocking fee... Because apparently it costs a lot to restock a battery.

I consider myself a fairly savvy shopping and somehow they got me. Shop elsewhere, there is something fishy going on here!

"Fumfie has the best price online. Upon placing your order, a follow up is made to you by their sales rep to confirm your order. It was suggested that I buy another battery, but I declined and it was graciously accepted. The wrong memory card was sent, and I called Fumfie, and they said they will send me the correct one. I am still waiting for it in the mail as I write this review. Overall a good experience."
