"this review is an edited review,why?because there was a littel misunderstanding due to a miscommunication,it was about payment methods and intr,l shipping rates,this issue was kindly,and pleasantlly resolved by the funfie people,and I have to single out a guy called Henry,the others were also very cooperative,he just was more initiative,a more dedicated,and a very friendly guy.
they called me back and apologized for the inconvineince that they may caused me,and insisted that if there is anything that they could do to make me a happy customer,and that's what all the excellent business all about.
my order was prepared and shipped in a very short time.
I strongly recommend any one to go there,do his shopping, unbeatable prices+a first class customer service.

"This was the second time I ordered something from Fumfi. After I pay to complete order, instead of shipping the order like all other companies do, they called me to tell me they are going to add a charge for "insurance" that I don't want, they didn't mention before I ordered. They won't respond to any attempts to email them and ask why they are calling cause they don't want the evidence in writing. This is bait and switch and unfair competition and is illegal...fraud. Their competitors should sue them and the New York attorney general should sue them. When I refused to play their little game they canceled my order without my permission and claimed I canceled it. They are liars as well as frauds."

"Fumfie.com is a good site for buying stuff at first BUT...
They are very bad in communication and customer service as well. I ordered a Sigma lens on 07/14/2012 and i just received it on 08/02/2012. Only one reason is I want the item be shipped to another address which is different with my billing address (if you live in US and you don't update your billing address very frequently). But that is not the point, the point is they left me a message and ask me to call them to confirm. I did call them right away, go to extension number and nobody pick up the phone. I left voice message and nobody call me back only sent me another email after a day. And then ask me call them again, and again, and been transferred back and forth about 5 times and they still could not solve it. And believe or not, if you not call them, they won't call you back. Therefore, I tried to call them last time after 5 days could not make it done and tried to cancel the order too, and ask them just ship to my billing address which i have to go pick it up later from my cousin house, and they shipped it super slow after those issues and don't even think to make their customer satisfy. Trust me, it is a lot of pain and time to contact these people even you have your right. This is so unacceptable. You should really rethink again when you purchase any item from them just to save few buck as i did because it will cost you more than that.

"Price wise they are very competitive and service wise also they are very prompt. Once I placed the order, I had to talk to one of their sales representative for confirming my order. I received most the items that I had ordered as per promised schedule. One of the item was missing in the package and after calling to their customer service they were very prompt in acknowledging the miss and upgraded the missing item and ready to dispatch it. I am very satisfied with their site and service and will recommend to others as well."

"I have to say that I've always been wary of buying cameras from the east coast because they had a reputation of making you call to "confirm" the order and the giving you the hard upsell of accessories. I was buying a Canon SX40 and saw that Fumfie's prices were a good $60 less than Amazon. For maybe $10-20 difference, I would've gone with Amazon just because I've always gotten great customer service from them the few times I had issues with my orders.

But for a $60 difference, I was going to at least look up their reviews. I only went to one site.. Resellerratings. Saw that they had a 9.2 score out of 10 lifetime (at the time) and that was really good. I felt confident and placed the order on 7/21/12 (Saturday evening). On Monday, I hadn't heard anything about my order being processed for shipping, so I called just to make sure it went through OK.

I called probably around 11 EST and got through to talk to someone. He transferred me.. I got someone else.. he tried transferring me, but I think it went back to him. Strange. Finally talked to Jack Greene and he gave me the dreaded upsell.. thankfully, it was only a soft upsell and he was very nice about the whole thing when I politely declined the accessories and then he assured me that the order was being sent to fulfillment.

Got a few emails stating such, but it took another day or two to get an email stating it was shipping and that my shipping tracking number was "NONE"... it wasn't listed. So I tried calling and kept getting messages saying that my call couldn't be completed at this time.. probably busy.

I did some looking around and that's when I saw all the bad complaints about Fumfie.. some of them throwing the word "scam" around. I was really worried. But there were positive reviews.. some negative ones were quickly answered by a rep with Fumfie that listed this extension and even a personal phone number.

I decided to try his extension. Sure enough, I got Henry on the phone and he was nice to deal with and assured me that the first shipping email wouldn't have the tracking number yet, but that once it reached UPS, I would get it. Again, a soft upsell was given about the extended battery. I declined and went on my merry way.

I got the email with the UPS tracking number and on 7/30/12, I received the item and so far, everything seems to be working great and got some bonus items like a tabletop tripod, lens cleaners, a disposable camera and a memory card reader. Nothing crazy, but hey, it's free.

So it was thankfully NOT a scam and it was a good experience overall. Here's my thing... I read in one review where Henry was trying to dispel the myth of the evil east coast camera companies, saying that the Brooklyn/New Jersey areas are very big and that there are legitimate sellers out there. I believe it. These guys, at least in my experience, are legitimate. Why the upsell, though? I think this process is a little antiquated and needs to be retired. Most people just want to order and receive updates, tracking numbers and then the product. That's it. If east coast camera/electronics stores want to change their negative image, stop with the fast-talking upsell. Please. Other than that, I got a great camera at a really good price.

"I have received what was commited by Fumfie, except instead of sending 4hr extended battery what was requested for, 2 hr battery was sent, when i called to the customer service, they agreed to send the 4Hr battery. An overall the price they offered was really great compared to any other stores online.

I received the battery later and found the battery was not good battery, i received 2 pieces, its life is only for 40 minutes instead of 4 hours. not satisfied with this.
