"My experience with fumfie.com was, for the most part, positive. I received numerous emails and phone calls throughout the order process updating me on the status of my order. The price was also the best I found online for the item I ordered. The only negative comment I have is that when I ordered my item their website claimed free shipping. It wasn't until I received a call confirming my order that I was informed that my order would require shipping insurance. This added about $25 to $30 extra to my order that I wasn't expecting. It would be nice if their website informed about this added shipping charge during checkout."
"Good pricies but the final price is higher than when you place your order on line. After placing order I got a call from customer service telling me the cost of insurance had to be added - $250 on a $2,600 purchase. Clearly this was not only for insurance but added profit because I checked with UPS and I could have gotten this for less than half if dealing direct with UPS. Even with this they were still one of the lowest prices but the way they did it left me upset! Come clean put it clearly on your website!!"

"Lowest cost advertised for Panasonic DMC-FZ35 camera. Placed order. No confirmation with cost received. Waited one day for some info, then sent email inquiry. Response indicated to call for info, not by email. Needed to call to complete purchase and actually place order because shipping insurance of 10% is automatically added. Apparently this is spelled out somewhere during the order process (online) but well hidden since I looked for such and saw none. Snotty gentleman on the phone suggested I could just pick it up in person if I didn't like the shipping insurance terms (I'm in Colorado). Condescending and inappropriate customer service behavior. Ordered anyway since I was already behind on time and price ended up comparable to other low price retailers, but only after removing the add ons that automatically get attached between ordering and confirming. Shipped fairly quick after all was settled. Just don't like to be manipulated and poorly treated as I was. Up front and honest tactics go a long ways toward keeping me as a customer, or even as a first time customer when time permits."

"I purchased a Canon camcorder from Fumfie because they seemed to have one of the best prices. The purchase and delivery experience was OK, except for the mandatory insurance charge. From the fine print on their web site, I knew that there would be an insurance charge added to the total. However, I was not prepared for the size of the fee which was 9% of the purchase price. This is exorbitant and implies that nearly 1 out of 11 shipments have an insurance claim. I told the Fumfie representative that this completely eliminated their price advantage. Subsequently I had the opportunity to talk to Fumfie's Biz Devel Mgr and suggested that the insurance fee be included in the advertised price instead of as an add-on. He agreed and offered to ship me a spare battery to improve my Purchase experience. "
