"Fumfie's advertised price for the Canon Vixia HF M300 camcorder was much better than the competition, until they tagged on their "mandatory insurance fee". Even with the added fee, their price was still on par with other vendors. However, I did feel the process was somewhat misleading. You should either include the insurance in your advertised cost, or not charge it all.
Availability was also questionable, as I had to wait over two weeks for a camcorder that was listed as "In Stock"."

"They have one deceptive strategy: 1) they call you back to tell you that the order didn't go through and wanted to confirm your contact information, 2) they offer you on the spot another item, e.g. a battery, for your recently purchased item, 3) they say it is worth lots more than what they normally sell it for, offering for example a battery from $90 for only $49. 4) when you agree they don't tell you that the $49 is split as $30 for SHIPMENT INSURANCE and $19 for the battery, which you can find for $15-$20. I don't know what happens when you decline purchasing the newly offered items.
I found this out when i called back to cancel the battery and they said that they still had to charge the SHIPMENT INSURANCE. That was complete news for me. At no time on my initial call was I told of such fees. When I complained about the extra fees they said they will still send me the battery for free but would still charge me for the insurance. I accepted that offer.
In my opinion, hiding behind the usual "company policy" is deceptive. At NO TIME THEY SAID I was paying for SHIPPING INSURANCE. Their invoices only show the total amount, they do not show the actual cost per item. Fumfie representative acknowledge to me their reasons for insisting you call back after you place the order, they say is because their system cannot calculate shipment insurance accurately. Bogus in my opinion. Would i recommend them, probably, with this huge caveat. In the end, you don't save the money you were expecting by doing business with them."
