Instant delivery

"I ordered my pro tool kit on Wednesday evening and it was scheduled to arrive between the following Monday to Wednesday but it showed up less than two days on Friday morning. That was with standard ground shipping. It was in great condition and all the tools are in great order with no damage to outer container. Great job ifixit. Thank you"

Poor parts!

"I order 2 parts, the first a battery for my iPhone 5 and second a new front screen with camera.

1 year later the battery swelled in my phone. called they replaced it asap. cool. 10 outta 10 for that quick response.

And now the camera, the second part i ordered stopped working as well, at first I thought
my girlfriend was clueless on how to FaceTime because the screen was always black but after
looking into the matter, the camera on the screen fixit sent stopped working a long time ago. I haven't bothered asking for a replacement as the warranty was only good for a year.

i'm not happy

Absolute garbage service STAY AWAY

"I had the unfortunate opportunity dealing with this disorganized unprofessional company. I ordered a part for my laptop and my credit card got charged (I was not under the impression I would be charged BEFORE I consented to submitting a copy of my DL, etc) . Then received an email later stating that I need to submit a copy of my drivers license and credit card. Yeah....not gonna happen. I have never had a legitimate company ask for this. They did refund me but I noticed I lost out about 5-7 bucks due to currency conversion. I then ordered what I thought was the correct part in my stressed confused stupor dealing with this company. I received the wrong part and they do not do exchanges only refunds and do not cover the shipping. So I'm out shipping both ways $15x2 plus the currency conversion $6 for a total of $36 dollars and stress for NOTHING. They ripped me off and I will be disputing.

This is a garbage excuse for a company. I recommend Amazon or some other credible service.

iFixit customer service redeemed themselves!

"I ordered a SSD and they sent me an optical drive instead. They were perfectly helpful with getting me a replacement part, but when I ordered the original part I specifically ordered 2-day shipping. By the time I received the actual part it was NINE days later. I requested a partial refund for the extra shipping, since I did not receive the part in the time that I paid for. They declined to refund me, at first, but eventually reviewed the case and were able to do that."

Unclear Pricing Practices

"Ordered a battery from them, and I live in Canada and was not notified properly that I would be paying upwards of 90$ for international shipping plus duties and import taxes until the shipper called me that I would have to pay them these fees before I would get the product.... This is very shady and they will not refund the product without me shipping it back which will cost another 80$ (Total more than the cost of the battery.

If they had been shown the overall cost clearly this would have never happened, I would have bought it from a Canadian supplier.

Business needs some changing

"Ordered a part for an iPod Classic. Part arrived in terrible condition. Not to mention my package from China arrived before my package from iFixit, although they are located only 3 hours away. Installed the part anyways and it ended up being defective. Wasted $25 since there's no way to remove the part without damaging the housing. Asked for a return. Got an email a few days later. Customer service rep was actually pretty nice and apologized and offered a coupon. Unfortunately the coupon didn't mean much to me since they didn't carry the parts I needed. Asked for a refund instead. Took another few days for the return shipping label. Took even more days to process the return after receiving the item. Took a total of 3.5 weeks. Business processes need improvement."

"I ordered a data ribbon from them, the one they sent had some exposed wire. I had it RMA'd, received the replacement, the replacement had exposed wire too but in a different place. I called them and asked them to visually inspect one and send it to me. They inspected two, sent them both to me and instructed me to send back all but the one I decided to keep. I sent them back with the prepaid return label they included. Now a week later they are saying they didn't receive the returns and if they don't get them soon they will be forced to charge me for them.

This never would have happened if they were not selling faulty product. They are charging a huge markup on this ribbon cable, and the risk of using an unsafe postal service is built into that margin. When you charge twice as much as the part+shipping costs, you are protecting yourself from the chance it gets lost in shipping. Asking the customer to pay AGAIN is double dipping.

iFixit: How about inspecting your product before you send it? Then it wont have to be mailed both ways and risk getting lost!
